The pillows were uncomfortably hard, even by Italian standards. The shower was very awkward to use and could scald you if you hit the faucet in turning around. The breakfast is okay, but I'd go to a cafe if you could save money by opting out of it.
Our room's trim was peeling/crumbling, and the decor overall has seen better days; it really should be rated a two-star hotel. But the price is good for the location, about a block from the Campo dei Miracoli.
The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful; they also recommended an excellent restaurant, Il Campano. Our third-floor room had a very nice view of the botanical gardens, and the windows opened wide for fresh air. It was quiet on that back side, as well (#302). The lift was a boon for our luggage transport. The wifi was pretty good.
