Style, service, value for money. Location is problematic - close to Vatican, but far from other locations.

I can only recommend Franklin - we had a wonderful time and have no complaints at all. The rooms are small but clean, have a great design and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom was nice and big, the hotel staff super friendly and the location... Well it speaks for itself :-) The thing that made everything even better was the breakfast. Incredible!!! Very non-typical for Italy, the breakfast buffet was super varied and large. Five stars for variety and quality!!! (My mother is gluten intolerant and she got a freshly baked gluten free roll, cookies, cereal and a muffin every morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow)

I stayed in this hotel with my partner due to the good value of the hotel. We were not expecting the hotel to be as nice as it was. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. The music theme was subtle and well done. Only a 8min walk from the Vatican so an excellent location. Excellent stay! The only problem that people might have is that the walls were a bit thin so if you're staying, make sure you do not have a room beside the lift.

This was a great hotel, and so much fun! The music theme, with snare drum nightstands, blue light disco ball in the bathroom, in-room CD player and library, was lots of fun. The facilities were excellent overall as well, and the staff was outstanding...very helpful, friendly, and efficient! It's a bit out of the way, but in a very quiet area with restaurants and shops in the vicinity and about 6-7 blocks to the Metro. We would definitely stay here again on a visit to Rome.

24 hour service at front desk even though a small hotel - staff courteous and tried to help in every way. Good breakfast. Innovative design of hotel and rooms. Let us store luggage on day of check out. Quiet and comfortable sleeping. Not in the centre of the city, but was still walking distance to everything.

I enjoyed the theme to the hotel and the Sky tv available in my room. The disco ball was a nice touch. It was about a 10 minute walk from Vatican City and the Ottaviano metro stop. We had a balcony and that was pretty nice. The beds were a little too firm and from room 201 the wifi hardly worked. I suggest the hotel upgrade the wifi on that floor.

The hotel is extremely clean and the staff friendly and efficient. Clean sheets and towels each day were most welcome. Breakfast is very good for this style of hotel. This is our second visit to the Franklin. Wish more coffee was served with breakfast or had tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Hotel is 5min walk from Vatican and walking distance from city center; hotel staff is v friendly and helpful. Breakfast is much more than typical italian one and we appreciated the idea of preparing fresh juices on our own :-).

The room felt clean and looked attractive. The breakfast was delicious, and the price was reasonable. Our room felt a little small. The soap, shampoo and conditioner came in little open glass cups, which really was not at all convenient. It was a nuisance actually, although it looked pretty.

The hotel had a really cool decor and the staff was really friendly and helpful. It was about a 15 minute walk from the vatican museum and it was very close to the bus and metro station. The bed was moderately comfortable and pillows were pretty hard. Otherwise, it was great.

Nice and quite with helpful, friendly staff. Garden patio connecting to the eating room was very nice and convenient. The breakfast was wonderful. I had prebooked the room atleast 3 months in advance with a reduced rate but the hotel did not have the record from booking.com that it was to be prepaid. My records which I showed them did have me prebooked. The hotel did reverse the extra charges but unfortunately when that happens on your credit card you loose on the exchange rate. Other than that the stay was wonderful.

The sound system and tv are amazing as is the huge shower in room 105 and the glitter ball!! Its on bus routes 23 and 70 which take you into the centre. Friends stayed more central though so it was slightly out of the way if you dont like walking.
