Franz House

It's clean and well-equipped with TV, Wi-Fi, kettles, the host even offer free tea bags and instant coffees! And in the entrance, you could also buy bottled water in the frige; the location is good, near river and 5m walk to Ponte Vecchio, it's really convenient!

The location was great, and the view when looking out the window to the right was gorgeous! The bathroom was also a bit bigger than others.

It had an odd smell.

The owner Giovanny is fantastic man! He helped a lot with city tour with parking our bicycles (phoned his friend to a nearby parking and we got good pricing), helped with everything. Location is fantastic, few steps to every great sightseeing. Room was clean, few showers, every supply was in place. Breakfast was family style. Enjoyed our staying a lot, thanks, Giovanny!

Nothing significant here.

The inn keeper was wonderful. He made our stay in Florence exceptional with his map and recommendations. Use his gelato recommendations. His breakfasts are delicious. Very clean and comfortable. You cannot beat the location--right on the river. Close to train station and everything a sightseer wants to see in Florence.

The staff is friendly. It is close to the river and only about 700 m from a bridge (lots of fancy shops on it) It is close to a small church and close to a plaza.

The room is small. It is noisy. The light bulb may automatically turn off at about 11pm. And you need you wait about half an hour to turn it on again. If you try to turn it on again immediately, it will not be able to turn on. And it will turn on at about 4 am to wake you up.

Giovanni was so welcoming! We arrived and he gave us a map and a detailed explanation of what to see and where to eat! We had the BEST gelato and sandwiches in Florence because of his recommendations. Our room was cleaned daily and the bathrooms were always spotless! Giovanni made a hot breakfast every morning, it was great!! The location was perfect, right on the canal, a 5-10 min walk to any attraction in Florence

Excellent service. Very friendly andhelpful owner. In spite the fact that we had overlooked the fact that check-in closed 8 and was late, he staye on for an extra hour. We tried to pay a little extra for the inonveniance we had caused but he refused to receive that. Location is fantastic just on the outskir of the historic center.

Nothing to mention!

Our host, Giovanni, was an excellent travel resource. Being an engineer by profession, he was able to outline for us an extensive day-long walking tour pinpointing the most important highlights of Florence. His Franz House accomodations were simple but comfortable, and his breakfast was most enjoyable with Giovanni carrying on an informative conversation as he prepared our food. The location of Franz House is excellent, being centrally-located close to good shopping, restaurants and important points of interest.

The Franz House sign is a small metal plaque beside the front door which is difficult to see from a car. We drove past several times before we found it by parking the car and walking by the front door.

Franz House is in perfection location, Inn Keeper is the best. We highly recommend the Franz House to everyone. Sm, unique, friendly, clean & every other nice word there is. We have already recommended to another friend. Wish we had a Franz House in Rome & Venice. Merylene & Angie

There was not one thing that we didn't like about Franz House.

The owner was very helpful, he explained us everything about the city - places to see, their history, restaurants etc... The breakfast was very nice as well, they had home cooked Italian food, they were very delicious. The room, especially the bathroom, was very clean and nice.

Nice owner, great breakfast, perfect location. The room is lovely, with warm red beddings and gorgeous paintings. The bathroom is quite new and the facility is easy to use. You can easily get to every major tourist attractions from here and will get help from the staff. Besides, it is near to the river so it would be possible to have a walk around in the evening and find the restaurants. Definitely will book if going to Florence again and will recommend it to other people.

Everithing was perfect

The location to the city, river, sites, and rail station can not be beat! New owner Giovanni works very hard to please you and cooks up your breakfast to order. The layout is small and its easy to meet others if you like. Giovanni starts you off with a map and tips and speaks English quite well. Would stay there again!

Simple, neat and clean. I was traveling with my college age daughter. Location wonderful, close to the train station and right on the river and we walked everywhere without problems. Nicoletta was great! She made wonderful breakfasts in the morning and had great recommendations for dinner and gelato places. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive, clean, safe place in a good location.

nice place, small and comfortable, close to tarin station and center of city

Excellent staff! Very friendly and helpfull and we felt like being home! It's a small hostel and at breakfast you sit in the kitchen with the other guests, at the same table, while the host is making your breakfast - omelet, toast, youghurt, cofee - what ever you desire. It is walking distance to every thing in the city centre!

It's situated in a very busy street and since the rooms are in third floor Is it very very noisy. This is not for people that need a quiet place.

Skvělé umístění v blízkosti centra, nádraží a restaurací. Majitel nám výborně popsal centrum, doporučil památky a dodal mapu Florencie.

V koupelně u okna byla plíseň. Snídaně majitel podával ve své malé kuchyni u stolu pro 6 osob - k dispozici pouze trvanlivé pečivo - majitel připravuje pouze toasty nebo omelety a v troubě ohřeje sladký croissant. Na italské snídaně - čerstvé housky či pannini s mozzarelou a rajčaty nebo prosciutem jsme raději začali chodit do bistra v téže ulici.

L'accoglienza: il proprietario è una persona molto disponibile ed espansiva.

El hotel está muy bien decorado y muy limpio. Estuvimos muy cómodos, como en casa. El señor Giovanni nos preparaba un abundante desayuno todas las mañanas, y en la cocina tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a otros huéspedes, con los que establecimos una conversación muy agradable. Totalmente recomendable.

Il gestore, sig. Giovanni, è gentilissimo e cordiale. La struttura è in pieno centro, a nemmeno 10 minuti a piedi dal cuore pulsante di Firenze. Camere belle e comfortevoli.

La ubicación es estupenda, está cerca de la estación y desde allí puedes ir andando a cualquier parte. Giovanni es un excelente anfitrión, nos dijo donde comer a buen precio y que visitar y siempre acertó. Si vuelvo a Florencia me hospedaré de nuevo en el Franz House
