this is not an "old" hotel as your first sight. the well trained, good speaking english staff, abundant choices for breakfast, the best WIFI in Italian hotels... especially the good location just behind of Duomo, few steps near to the bus station to Airport Linate, near to metro....i've been stayed in this nice hotel for twice. i love those old style sofa, furniture..

I visited Milan many times and often stayed at Hotel Galileo. During these years the managers and other personal are the same and very friendly and professional. Breakfast is one of my favorite in Italy: typical crudo, prosciutto, other ham and sausages, cheese, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruits (strawberries, ananas, kiwi, etc.), different cakes and good coffee. Location is perfect to drop your bags if you are shopping in the central area. And I prefer to live close to Duomo and to have a cup of coffee looking at it. Plus, usually, I walk arround the central part of the city. No safe box in the room, only at the reception. Bad and very simple keys to the rooms, which you can open very easy. Some noise from the cars.

I stayed in Hotel “Galileo” for five nights in January 2013. Although the furniture and design of the room were little bit old fashioned everything was very convenient and clean. Air conditioner was working well. Bath room was equipped with the comfortable bathtub. Tv set produced main Worlds’ channels. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of food. I visited the restaurant in the hotel one evening and found there good wine and food. All personnel were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The place where the hotel is situated is very convenient for the tourists. It takes only five minutes walking to get the Duomo Cathedral or San Babila Square. You can reach the Castle of Sforza for twenty minutes by walk. So, all so called must see places including La Scala Theatre, Brera and Ambrosiana Galleries, “The Golden Square” of High Fashion and main Basilicas are accessible by walking on yours own feet. Wire internet is available in the rooms and Wi-Fi in the restaurant and public areas of the hotel.

Good location, good breakfast and good space of room. Duomo is just a few minutes walk distance and the shopping area is close as well as the nearest metro station. Hotel may look a bit old fasioned but that's not really a problem if you want to stay in the center of any of the European historical cities. Nothing special, but we had to remind twice for taxi booking from the hotel, even though it is not so serious problem.

Hotel is very near to Metro Station San Babila. The Duomo can be reached in about 7 minutes. Also Scala is in walking distance. Breakfast starts early in the morning (6.30 a.m.). The handling of the instruments in the bath room has been a bit difficult.

The front office reception staff is friendly & attentive, especially Luca & Bianchi who never failed to help us with all our queries. We enjoyed going to the 1st floor cafe every morning for breakfast as all the wait staffs were friendly and provided service with a smile. Location of hotel could not be better, it is along Corso Europa, a short walk to via Montenapoleone and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II where all the shops, designer boutiques & restaurants are. Nearest metro station is San Babila which is 5mins walk. The room decor, fixtures & fittings are old and outdated. There is no room cooling so will be a problem during summer stay. The double bed is small by standard & the pillow is too hard & uncomfortable for a good night rest. The room door does not have a latch or keyhole and does not feel very secure. The hotel should do something about it for sake of hotel's guest safety & security.
