Friendliness of the hotel staff, cleanness room. The hotel information page at booking.com says that there is no internet service in this hotel, however they offer a wifi access in rooms with a fairly good price. The internal spiral staircase connecting two floors of the hotel may be narrow for guests with bulky luggage. I personally didn't have any problems but I think this fact can be important for other guests. It is possible that hotel staff has other way for such guests with bulky luggage. |

I arrived in the afternoon, the guy at the reception was very nice and helped me with luggages. His english was quite ok, we managed to understand each other, me speaking a poor italian, english and french. Rooms are good size. "Basic", as in a hotel in "warm countries". Tiles everywhere, bed with extremely clean bedclothes, wardrobe, chair, desk. A small but very clean bathroom with shower +... I may regret there was no breakie. But staff around the corner at the coffee place were lovely, so had a croissant with pudding and espresso over there. Neverless, there was nothing else to complain about. |

The hotel is cheap and near to the red line stop of Gambara, so it's easily reachable if you visit Milano without car. No confort, no lift, no breakfast |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and cheap. Rooms that have their own bathroom are located on the floor below the reception - access to which is only possible via a very narrow, unstable spiral staircase. Extremely inconvenient, especially as this made a lot of noise any time anyone used it, which you could hear through the very thin walls. The room was sufficient but not cozy at all. |

quiet area, quite close to the city center, close to a supermarket, nice staff, good money value A bit noisy (thin walls maybe), the hotel looks like a regular residential building from outside but they can buzz you in if the front door is locked. |

I have stayed at the Gambara on many occasions. It is in the same entrance and across the block from where a friend of mine lives. It is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly. Although it lacks some facilities, it suits me for its location. |

Location (close to the metro station Gambara with direct line to the centre of Milan, bars and food shops next to the hotel) and the hotel staff. It was cold and a bit dark in my room. |

The hotel is a little bit far away from every site in Milan. If you go walking, you need the metro 600m, more or less, from the hotel. Its only if you're in need of some place for sleep. |

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and it was easy to get to via public transport. No, it was fine for the price and I would return again. |

The rooms were quite big and comfortable, although the shower inside the room was something surprising, but for a couple it's not a problem...I Like the localization of the hotel - close to the metro station, supermarket, downstairs there is a restaurant with delicious pizza, The staff was very nice, the hotel offers free city maps...in general as for a one - star hotel it's cool. Maybe the showers could be more spacious. The hotel is also a bit noisy, especially when they start cleaning in the morninig, but it's just a small nuisance... |

The hotel is not new and no shic, but really tidy. Shower in the room means exactly "shower in the room", so be ready that it brings you some discomfort especially if your are staying with somebody - it is like taking a shower and having somebody in the shower room with you=). But all in all - for this money - and shot 1-2 nights stay it is rather good choice and very tidy. |
