Best thing about this place is the location. The staff were short and rude and were not welcoming either. Wifi is way too expensive. The rooms are out dated, tv remote did not work. You are paying for the location not the value of this hotel.

Easy access to the Metro, Cavour station right next door. Close to the Colosseum, about a 5 minute walk. Stayed on the top floor with a balcony which had a reasonable view. No noise issues, room was spacious. Breakfast was superb. In general staff friendly and helpful. Reception staff dont seem to have time to impart that personal touch when dealing with hotel guests. Hotel is used by major tour companies and so the lobby is quite full at all times of the day. For a 4 star hotel one would expect at least complimentary water in the room as well as regular replenishment of coffee although there were no creamers. Free internet access would have been nice too.

Great location in the city centre and only 2 minutes to Colosseum. Smaller rooms and bathrooms, but with modern furniture and very clean. 4* breakfast, hotel staff very good.

It is a central hotel and very close to metro station from where you can get to the city center. It has a nice view from the balcony (8th floor - executive room), very comfortable rooms and well decorated. The breakfast was very poor and unacceptable for the hotel standards! There was no wi-fi or free internet access (unacceptable for a 4 star hotel)!

This is perfect location when I stayed in Rome, it is located in Centre Storico. There are some famous restaurant, bar just a few steps. Nice neighbourhood, as I find many small alley on the back side of the hotel. The ac was not fuctioning during our stay, they said it is the regulation when the fall/winter season starts.

I enjoyed my stay at the Pallatino. The room was bright and spacious. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was fine. The location is very good with lots of good restaurants around. I would stay here again. The only criticism was the shower in the room. The hose was too short to make showering comfortable

Rooms large, quiet 24 hours a day, relatively recently renovated with very nice touches such as excellent lighting choices, marble bath with high-quality fixtures. Wifi worked well. Breakfast pretty good. Personnel friendly and multi-lingual. Location very handy. I had a nice view from the balcony. They were well-organized, but the mornings were packed with big tour groups, making it hard to navigate the lobby.

The location of the hotel is really good and the overall decor is quite reasonable. Breakfast offered is also good. The staff atttude is not very welcoming. The walls of the rooms are really thin and one can hear people talking in their room while walking in the corridor.

The staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. They made us feel as if we were comming home. The room was wonderful--- beautiful, clean, & spacious. We had a balcony and georgus view of the Grand Canal. The location is great! If there were a slight dissatisfaction it would have to be the very firm mattress.

The Grand Hotel Palatino is a great place to stay and fanatastic location, walk out of the hotel and five minutes walk you can see the Colesseum, and then you walk into old Rome. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay there.

The location of the hotel was very good. Some staff were extremely helpful, some not as. Stayed in many hotels in Europe and Palatino was very expensive for wifi connection and I did not always get the full time I paid for. The last time I went to Palatino I was put in a smoking room when I booked for non-smoking. Generally on the whole the hotel was ok.

The location was the only benefit of this hotel. The staff was not very helpful, the previous visitor left some open food that was not cleaned. The room was tiny, we could not open our luggages and walk around the bed...The breakfast was extremely disappointing for a so called 4-star hotel: 1 type of tea, no fresh juice, bread was not fresh, pastries (only 1 type again) were not fresh.

I chose the hotel for its best central location, 5 mintes walk from Coloseum and same distance from Piazza Venezia. Despite the fact I was warned by friends that central hotels lack (a lot) in services and cleanliness of the rooms, I preferred to be close to the historical sites of Rome and I took this risc. When arrived in Rome, I was very glad to discover they have very good&clean rooms, very prompt and good services. This is truly a 4 stars hotel. So, I definitely made the best choice.

Location of the hotel is pretty good. The breakfast is excellent. Fresh food, great test, plenty of fruits. Hotel needs major renovation. It's obsolete, has tube tv, and furniture 40 years old. The worst part is internet connect. It cost 8 eur per 1/2 hour!!! Hello, guys! Did you set up this pice same time you furnished your hotel last time? This is immediately made me fill that this is one of those "money cow" cheep holes.

“Fantastic Location - 10 minute walk to the Vatican. The service at the hotel was the best we had for our whole trip in Italy! Rooms were a good size, really nicely furnished. Also upstairs lounge was good - television had Sky - and a lot of channels had an english option. Free wi-fi. Fantastic recommendation of restaurant nearby from reception. Extremely happy! Will be staying there again for sure. Oh and actually had a double bed, not two singles pushed together.” Laura, Thornbury |

“The hotel was comfortable and close to the airport which was adequate for what we wanted. We needed a stop over so that we could travel to civitavecchia the next day. The short walk to the port and the lovely restaurants in the fishing village was very picturesque. We enjoyed our one night stay.” Elio, Brisbane Queensland |
