Right next to the Vatican City and a 10-minute walk from Saint Peter's Square, Starhotels Michelangelo Rome has rooms with classic decoration and air conditioning.

In a 19th-century building, the Quirinale is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. This historic hotel is connected to Rome Opera House through a passageway in its leafy courtyard.

Very good location, close to a metro station and histrical places.
Hot room even in December. Wi-fi mostly didn't work in the room.
Only the breakfast!!!
The interior design of room, its very noisily in the room, bad building
The location is great, also the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room comfort and food were very good.
wi-fi worked very badly
Great Location, very friendly staff, great breakfast choices, excellent value for money
Very slow wi-fi, bit run down bathroom but nothing to worry about.
Location is perfect. Clean room and clean towels daily
The bed is huge but extremely hard, expect to wake up with cramps in your back and lower body. WiFi was OK if you stand next to the room door, don't expect to use it away from the corridor. Classic hotel breakfast, solid but all the same every morning Not sure if they have mistaken us for Russians, but we've got a baby crib from the cold war era, probably Russian made with the leftovers from tank production. Final verdict: it obviously was a 4-star hotel once, probably at the time of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, but now it's just a shade of former "glory". It's tidy and clean but we've seen better 3-star hotels than this... but location is worth it.
bathroom is not comfortable the shower head need to be replaced as it is moving around when turned on the water tape
Location, breakfast, friendly staff
The wifi connexion was really bad Y
Great location. We walked to everything except the Vatican
location to the downtown sites.
The price was a lot more than expected when we got the charges added for the "complementary drinks". The internet was better than nothing, poor speed.
I love the location of the hotel.
The staff was rude and lack customer service skills. The shower leaked all over the floor and the hotel controls the a/c, so you get a/c from 1400 to 2200.
location Value for money location is great
Staff could have been bit more happier to see customers. Not many smiling faces. Breakfast was very ordinary and not will organised.
Clean and new best location
Hotel is well situated just a ten minute walk to the colosseum and forum. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on the seventh floor and our room was clean, had plenty of towels, bathrobes and slippers, mini bar, free wifi. Although we heard a few people mention that the air conditioning wasn't good we were happy, being from UK and visiting Rome in November we were happy to feel the warm air, think mainly US guests would require air conditioning. Breakfast was very good, choice of fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, yoghurts, scrambled egg and bacon and more. We will definitely return to Rome and stay in Grand Palatino.
Only negative was matress on bed was very firm.
Not a lot of information at the desk for tourists. The administrator has no desire to give proper tourist information. For the hotels in Rome I think it is quite important to be informative. Wall between the rooms. No tea and coffee corner in the room.
location of hotel
Hot and Sunny November but no Air con. Hotel advertise individual controlled air-con in bedrooms but they have master switch and turn it off. Public rooms kept cool by opening all doors and windows, but bedrooms hot and stuffy even with windows open. No fans available.
It was on average 20 degrees outside and the room temperature was like 25 and the air conditioning is not on. The reason was its winter so the hotel doesnt turb on the air conditioning. I was unable to sleep due to the temperature in the room. I paid 400+ euros for three nights and the staff asked me to open the window while i booked a room with a balcony. So yeah i had to open the balcony to sleep in a four star hotel. The wifi was terrible as well.
1. Bed bugs in room 703! 2. The room was sold to me as "superior" double room, but it was an ordinary room very modest in comparison to what is shown on the website as "superior double room" 3. Poor breakfast
1: - Location was excellent for major sights of Rome. 2: - Room was spacious. 3: - Hotel and room clean and well presented. 4: - Staff friendly and helpful.
1: - No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Seems rather strange for a hotel of this size. 2: - No double bed. Two singles pushed together . Beds were on casters and continually moved in separate directions which was slightly irritating. 3: - Shower. The screen was inadequate and water went everywhere and it was not a proper shower but a hose attachement so more of a drizzle than a shower and not great if you are tall. 4: - Toilet to close to wall so quite uncomfortable to sit on. 5: - woefully inadequate storage for clothes means that if there is more than one in a room you really had to live out of suitcase. Seems like a lot of negatives, but they were more irritating than real problems. We would stay there again, but it would be nice if they did something with the rooms to make them better.
I liked the wi-fi! Good connection allround the hotel, even in the room.
We booked a superior room, which in my opinion was just a standard double bed room. No airconditioning and the room definetely needs a new paintjob and new floor. Breakfast was bad, orange juice was cheap and sugared. Once, but not twice for us :-) Rome made up for the bad hotel.
Both couples agreed that this is our top choice for visiting Rome again. It is perfectly located for walking to the Forum and Coliseum and the hop-on-hop-off tour bus for easy access to other sites. Walk to shops, pharmacy, gelato, restaurants, bars and mini marts in 1-2 minutes. The buffet Breakfast includes fresh fruit, eggs, cereal, pastries, 5 juices, coffees & teas plus Italian cheese and deli meats.
Location, room and service are excellent.
Good location, close to subway and to Collosseum and other important objectives
Poor quality of the staff, the room was not cleaned properly during 3 days (floor especially), ammenities were not replaced - we had to use one soap three people for three days, bathroom tub was dirty, nise from the street
The breakfast was very poor
