It's nearness to the central bus and train station. Were there for cruise. We had two reservations at Gardena. Gardena is a chain. During our first stay, when we arrived, and after lugging our baggage through Venice, we were told that they had problems with their reservation service, (which might implicate Bookings.com) and that we would be staying at Hotel Armedaus, one of the hotels in their chain, and one we had walked past on the way to Gardena. We were not pleased and received no further consideration for our inconvenience. The couple behind us received the same treatment. If you know anything about luggage and Venice, it can be a taxing excercise. Also no english channels on the TV. The second, reservation was spent at Gardena. Would not stay, or reccomend Gardena or any in chain |

I liked that it was easily accessible to the train and bus station, yet was the hotel is in a pretty location and is unaffected their presence . I liked the beautiful reception, the tasteful decor of my room and it's canal view. I absolutely loved your hotel, but my experience was spoilt by a very rude, unfriendly older gentleman on reception. During my stay I was visited by two guests who he treated like common criminals. Despite the fact he retained their passports, purses etc.. he still rang my room to ask my colleagues to leave (it was not late, and we were very quiet). I felt very humiliated. All other staff i encountered were charming and helpful. I travel a lot with my family and work, and like staying in nice hotels, but have never been treated so appallingly. |

Hotel Gardena was in an excellent location for our purposes. We needed to drop a car off at Piazzale Roma and then take a train the next day from Santa Lucia. It was a short walk to and from the hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were very pleasant, clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. Only wished we could have stayed in Venice longer! |

We found this hotel on-line and chose it for a combination of price and location. The staff were friendly, spoke enough English to communicate with us (we spoke very little Italian), and helpful. We were allowed to store our luggage before we checked in and again after we checked out- a HUGE plus in Venice. We checked in early on a Friday and received a lovely room with a window overlooking the Grand Canal. The hotel is located near the Piazza Roma car/bus/train station and the vapretto (water bus) service is also nearby. We would definitely stay here again. Expensive by American standards, but very resonable rates compared to the rest of Venice. |

Convenient location, close to railway station and bus terminal. We had cosy room with nice canal view. Room should have anti-mosquitos device, since there was a lot of mosquitos during the night. |

The people were very friendly and helpful. The hotel needs to purchase screens for the windows because there were a lot of mesquitos in the room. |

The location of the hotel was very nice, near the station and a walking distance to a lot of nice city spots, the breakfast was varied and fresh. The room was small and the bathroom too, the tv didn't have any english speaking channels which made it obsolete. |

Vriendelijke ontvangst. De bagage kon voor en na-inchecken achter gelaten worden. Lekker geurend broodjes bij het ontbijt, dat continentaal is en lieve bediening. De ligging vlakbij het bus- en treinstation. Rustige verblijfplaats in lekker warme kamer. Schone kamer en comfortabele schone badkamer. Gezellig ingericht interieur. |

Best Western Hotel Olimpia is situated in Venice's historic centre, close to the Grand Canal, the Chiesa dei Frari and Piazzale Roma. |
No matter how you arrive in Venice Hotel Arlecchino is perfect! Set just off Piazzale Roma it is close to the train and bus station, and the ferry port. |
Hotel Ca' Formenta, opened in April 2003, is located in Via Garibaldi, pulsating heart of the Venetian life, one block from the Biennale of Modern Art and only 10 minutes from St.Mark’s Square. |
Locanda Ca’ del Console, once a consul’s private residence, dates back to the 18th century and is set on a typical canal. The hotel enjoys a quiet yet central location. |
