Directly on the seafront at Lazzaro, the hotel has spectacular views out over the Stretto di Messina to Sicily, where Mount Etna rises majestically to dominate the skyline. Naturally the hotel makes the most of its stunning location, right on the waterfront. Every room has a balcony offering spectacular views out over the water, and the hotel’s roof garden and its swimming pool have panoramic views of Sicily. The hotel is recently constructed and, as such, offers all the contemporary comforts and conveniences that you would expect from a modern hotel. The Altomontes operates this elegant hotel like a family inn. This is a 4 star hotel that should be 5 stars. The rooms are well appointed with a large bath and great views of Mt Etna. All of this was expected. The surprise was the friendliness of the staff. Dominico, the manage, Fabbio and Paolo all made me feel as though I was a special client and friend. A car is recommended if you plan on touring the country side. Bus and train stops are a walk away and the town of Lazzaro is an easy 20 minute walk along the beach. The beach in front of the hotel has just been improved with a break water and is wonderful for relaxing, napping and swimming. The family restaurant is excellent and a short walk along the beach. The senior Altomontes, Francesco and Bianca, are always on hand to make you feel welcome there or at the hotel. I will be a return visitor and offer these comments based on over 2 months spent in all four corners of Italy during the past 2 years

Gardenia Hotel looks beautiful and is, the rooms are very luxurious and are carpeted, the bathroom is also luxurious, the bed was extremely comfortable. Our balcony looked right out over the sea. We parked directly outside the hotel, and the beach area was just up the road. The bathing was great with crystal clear water, also the rooftop pool was a great place to relax. The breakfast was varied and included frest fruit. This hotel is a great base for visiting the area of Reggio

Hoewel wij daar 5 dagenlang de enige gasten waren, hebben we een uitstekende service gekregen. De receptie was constant bemand. Blijkbaar is heel de streek niet populair tussen kerst- en nieuwjaar. In de zomer zeker aan te bevelen!

Die Lage direkt am Meer (kleine Straße dazwischen) mit einem traumhaften Blick auf Sizilien/Ätna am Abend. Mitte September ist dort die Saison längst beendet (bei 30°), der Pool ist nicht mehr in Betrieb, Restaurant ist geschlossen, Bar hat kaum noch Getränke, Service ist auf Sparflamme.

Direkt am Meer. Pool auf dem Hoteldach mit super Aussicht. Ruhige Lage. Eigene Tiefgarage. Alle Zimmer mit Balkon oder Sitzplatz. Wenig Möglichkeiten nasse Badetücher aufzuhängen.

Personale cordiale e professionale. Stanza spaziosa e pulita dotata di molti servizi confort. Tutte le stanze dotate di terrazza vista mare. La piscina poco pulita e non molto utilizzata (...bhè visto il meraviglioso mare a due passi! ) colozione buona ma non ottima per un quattro stelle.

De kamer was verzorg en voorzien van een gezellig zitje. Het hotel ligt pal aan zee aan een zeer rustige boulevard. Het ontbijt was zeer sober en een 4*-hotel niet waardig; verpakte croissants en taartjes uit de supermarkt. Toen wij daar de tweede dag wat van zeiden werd gevraagd, wat we wilden hebben. De volgende dag lag er vers brood met vleeswaren en vers fruit. Het hele hotel was erg warm. Zonwering is niet aan dit klimaat aangepast.

Tout ce qu'on peut attendre d'un hotel de cette categorie. Chambre confortable, tres bien equipee, garage en sous sol Localisation parfaite en face de la plage (galets, rochers). Vue magnifique sur la sicile et l'etna. Tres proche de l'aeroport de reggio. Caractere un peu standard de la decoration.
