Hotel Gargallo  

Great location in the heart of Ortigia, the only place one should stay if on vacation in wonderful Siracusa. Staff was extraordinary kind: our plane had a delay and we arrived at 2 am (at night) and a kind lady was still awaiting us and showing where to park. The room was spotless and spacious.

If possible try to get a room on the first floor. We were staying on the groundfloor and it was pretty loud in the afternoon (when we were trying to have a rest) because of the high pitched voices coming from the reception where even the receptionist was speaking loudly. At the same time a group of children/young boys were staying in the inner court making pretty much noise. In this regard we didn't have any problem at night and early in the morning.

The people at Gargallo were very helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay of 3 days quite nice. Location is excellent. Breakast was very good. I house resturant for supper was great.

very friendly service. Beautiful rooms, you feel like in a palast with a great painted ceiling. Everything was just wonderful! Very good breakfast.

Beautifully restored building in old part of city, with all the main sights close by. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and elegant.

A pity that the coffee at breakfast came from a machine and was not proper fresh coffee. Apart from that nothing at all not to like about this hotel.

Price, location, staff were friendly and helpful, nicely decorated, clean.

The staff were fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable of their area and surroundings. always on hand if we needed anything and nothing too much trouble. rooms were spacious and new, bathrooms modern and everything worked. breakfast available and well presented. check in easy and check out with no delay. Location was in the heart and we did not see anything else better during our stay.

After working in hotels for 12 years I have to say that it had everything that was needed to a high standard. no faults.

Great location, great city. Nice staff. Close to most points of interest, restaurants and shops. Would stay in the hotel again.

No elevators. Wasn't a real problem but could be if you have heavy luggage.

The location was very central. The hotel has some parking spots only a few meters away where it is possible for guests to park their car. Staff was extremely friendly and helped us with some trouble we had when our car was accidentally picked up due to religious festivities.

The bed was not very comfortable. Some of the towels were worn out.

The staff was very kind and very helpful. They helped to arrange several things such as times for busses and arrnage for scuba diving. Also we got extra madrasses in our beds ((-: I can reccomend ths hotel Regards Monne/Monica Wihlborg

Great staff went out of their way to help us.Dont be put of by parking the staff organised a park ing area for us.We we're able to us facilities to make ourselves a cup of tea and to eat our lunch.

It is a little and charm hotel and a very good situation.

The location was excellent. It was close to everything on the island, but tucked away in a quiet street so it was not noisy. The staff were very helpful, even allowing me to access the kitchen for my breakfast when I was leaving before the kitchen was open.

I don't have any negative comments about the hotel.

The fact that they offer me a parking place for free. Wi-Fi was free and it was working just fine in the room.

The breakfast was poor in options. I was expected for more for the money we payed. The hotel is somehow hidden but after all it was fine. The room is simple but it was clean and quiet. They don't have a lift so I had to take my luggage on the stairs ( I was lucky the room was at the first floor).

Simone, the manager went out of her way to help me a lot and she is charming

A beautiful, small hotel with a great location in the middle of the old part of Siracusa on Ortegia. The friendly, helpful 24 hr staff, especially Simone', were always smiling and welcoming. Rooms are spacious, clean, modern and climate controlled. Fridge in room was a plus.

From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and spacious but at night there was street noise from late night party people. Great location for getting around the city.

The staff was wonderful in all ways. The location was well-situated and the accomodations newly restored. The value was excellent and we would stay there again without any hesitation. '
