Hotel Garibaldi  

Very comfortable, modern and well-organized room, excellent varied breakfast, great location (right near bus to airport, easy walking or public transport to the sights), Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Good internet access (5 euros per day but this is much lower than some we could name). Competitive price in off season. PS highly recommend Renna Self Service restaurant, in via Principe de Granatelli nearby - cafeteria style at lunch, table service evening, Reliably great food and vino, nice people, energetic bistro type vibe, very inexpensive. Long may they rule!

Absolutely nothing negative to say about this place, a great base for exploring Palermo.

Everything. We chose this hotel for location and the secure, on site parking, which turned out to be a huge bonus. The city is a bit scary for driving and it was wonderful to have a place where we didn't have to worry about the car. As an added bonus, the hotel turned out to be top notch in every area: staff, breakfast, location. We would most definitely stay here any time in the future if returning to Palermo! Also, in our triple room, we had a lovely balcony with a view of the mountains and the port. It was a lovely hotel!

We didn't like the traffic noise, but this was no fault of the hotel. If you have a portable white noise machine or iphone app for that, it would solve the problem. The beds were a tad hard for our taste, but definitely not rock hard as are some in Europe!

We enjoyed our short stay in this comfortable hotel very much. Hotel Garibaldi is very modern, with pale wood walls and floor-tiles, and simple stylish furnishings in both public areas and guest rooms. These give the building a light and airy feel, and our room was spacious and well-designed, with a desk and two chairs, and a safety-deposit box in the wardrobe. The bathroom was a good size and well-equipped (excellent shower), and all spotlessly clean. Reception and breakfast-bar are both in the basement (an outside ramp gives access to the hotel). The buffet breakfast was excellent: as well as the usual cereals, brioches and cold meats there was a hot tray with bacon and eggs, and it's good to report that there was properly boiling water to make a proper cup of tea! Staff at reception and in the breakfast room were unobtrusively friendly and helpful.

One tiny criticism: the inviting-looking bar near reception was “unfortunately” (in the receptionist's word,s) not open during our stay, so no chance of an early evening aperitif or late-night drink.

The position of the hotel is very good. It is situated close to Politema in the city center. A good conection with bus to the airport. Although the hotel is in city center is very quiet. The stuff was nice and helpful. Great choice for breakfast. If I was back at Palermo, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

This is our third stay at the Garibaldi and we have always enjoyed ourselves immensly.The staff are well trained,friendly and curtious.The breakfast is ample and cateres to all tastes.It's position within a city centre is the best.We only live 50 minutes away and would always choose to stay there.

It was a very clean hotel. The rooms were very spacious and decorated nice. The location was great with lots of shops and resaurants within walking distance.

The beds were a little hard and since it was downtown it was a little noisy at night time. Other than that it was great!!

Hotel Garibaldi delivered exactly what we expected, based on the reviews and web information, at a good price. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were courteous and professional. The breakfast was excellent - for italian standards (with a very naughty cake display!). We would stay here again without hesitation.

The location is in the very heart of palermo, easily reached by bus from and to the airport. The hotel is modern and clean, for eur 67 per night is really a very good deal!

My double room has a view to the car-park, which is very noisy. No wi-fi connection during my stay. The room's wall is thin, one night I could hear the noise from next door until 2am, and in the morning there was a yellow truck in the car-park which made a terrible noise. The staffs were not friendly except Alessandro.

Excellent location. Very helpfull staff at the front desk, who were available to help us with our lost lugagge making as many phone calls as needed to the airport.

I didn't like breakfast as much as liked the other aspects of the hotel.
