Location is ideal. 2min walk from Cavour station which is one stop from Termini station. 10min walk from Roman Forum and Coloseum. Staff were very helpful. Nice breakfast each morning (coffee and croissant) vey clean and comfortable.
Nothing. Excellent stay
We had a very good stay at Gaudium. It's very well located near the train station and close to the Colosseum. OOur host Gyusi was abosolutely lovely, offering us a bottle of prosecco when she found out were were on a birthday trip. Unfortunately one of us spent most of the trip in the hotel room with a flu (excellent bed for that), so we’ve decided to go back as soon as we can.
The B&B is centrally located and we could walk to most places. Giusy the manager is very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. She even stayed back on the day of arrival to help us out as our flights were delayed and we reached late at night. Overall, we had a very good experience.
Very clean, cute and comfortable apartments. location is really close to Colosseum, subway several meters from doors, hostess is really nice person and helpful.
A bit noisy street...but it is nothing compare to comfortable place.
We've stayed in numerous places in Rome and this one was great. The room was perfect as a base, right beside the metro stop, clean and comfortable. It was the little touches that made it special. Fresh towels and a tidy room was always lovely to come back to after a long day!!!The owner knew she wouldn't see us before we departed so left us a note to say thanks for staying with her and to say goodbye.
We stayed for 5 nights, had an amazing time. Giusy was very welcoming. Exceeded all expectations!
Giusy was lovely, Forum, Colosseum just down the road then it was a short walk into the city. Good area to stay, far enough from station but with some nice reasonably priced restaurants just across the way. Traditional roman appt building with imposing wooden doors, marble hall and quaint (but perfectly servicable) lift. Breakfast was on streetside cafe outside - perfect. Stay here if you want that Rome experience!
The location was really close to the center and the staff was very nice.
The hostess Giusy was very warm and helpful. The location was very nice with plenty of close by dining and stores. Our room was very quiet and comfortable and we got great sleep. We almost felt like locals due to the nature of the rooms in a typical Rome apartment building.
My friend and I stayed for 4 nights. The room was very clean and good size. Guisy the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Private bathroom, looks like the room has been recently renovated, breakfast was enough for us. Guisy helped us with the city map and oriented us on how to get around in the metro and also recommended a couple of good places to eat. Also assisted in getting us the bus tickets to the airport. Excellent location, and a big plus is the elevator, walked to most places. Highly recommend
Everything was fine.
- Very convenient location - Very friendly, caring and helpful owner - Clean and comfortable rooms - Good Wi-Fi connection
Great location (10 min from Coliseum and 1 min from metro Cavour station), great condition of room and bathroom. Giusy is the owner and she is everyday there checking if everything is ok and if you need some help. With her help, we saved lot of money (for example the advice to go to airport by bus and not by express train). The breakfast she offers is good, it has coffee capsules of Lavazza for you (the only place we saw it in whole Italy!). I tottally recommend to stay there!
Nothing at all.
The owner Giusy was very welcoming, made you feel like a friend. The room was big and comfortabel. Every day with had juice and water in our little fridge included in the price. You also get your own set of keys to enter the building, apartement andù your own room. So staying in this hotel feels like home!
with airco it was sometimes too noisy in our room to sleep at night, without too warm but i was also the end of august, so it was not that big of a problem..thats summer!
Great location, 5 minutes walk to coliseum, 20-30 to Rome's center. Guizi is a great host, very helpful and friendly shared with us nice tips for food. The place is a basic accommodation really clean and a convinient place to start knowing Rome
Giussy, the host, is very nice and helpful, the bed is comfortable and spacious Room is very clean. Location is great, near meteo station and everything you need at Rome.
It is possible to hear metro from time to time, but it is not disturbing
Felt like home. Amazing service . Very clean. Perfect location. The street next to it was perfect for having our morning espresso and having dinner with drinks
The location was very close to the Colosseum and Termini station (about a ten minute walk) with public transportation around the corner. The hostess was super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well isolated sound wise. It had everything we wanted and we couldn't have asked for better place to stay during our trip to the beautiful city of Rome.
Lady who runs the B&B is so lovely, place was super clean. Coffee machine, snacks in the room and a lift.
Pipes made weird noises during showers and flushing of the toilet but it's roma.
Guisy was wonderful! She was accommodating and met us when we arrived, even though it was 10pm. Breakfast was provided daily. The location could not be more perfect - within walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and S. Maria Maggiore. The metro is close too! All in all I would recommend this place to anyone.
My husband's wifi kept dropping out but mine was fine. I own an iPhone and he owns a Galaxy. Either way, you really don't need the internet in Rome.
location, good room
entry hallways of the block were badly maintained; difficult parking; extra tax paid at the location for making the payment by card
One of the friendliest and most accommodating hosts you'll find. When we arrived at 7:30 p.m., we realized we had missed the check-in window and hadn't notified them like we were supposed to. When we called the number, we were able to reach our host, Guisy, and she quickly sent her husband over to let us in - despite him having to leave their daughter's 4th birthday party! We felt terrible, but he couldn't have been more gracious and kind, and spent more time than he needed to explaining all the little ins and outs of the place (how to work the complementary espresso machine, etc.). The next day, our host left us a big plate of delicious cookies, which we snacked on during our entire stay in Rome. The accommodations themselves are relatively basic, but we found everything perfectly to our liking. And it was definitely in our top-two customer service experiences during a three-week trip.
Safe and clean place. Very nice staff. Convenient location.
Wifi was really annoying. The staff had been trying to improve it. Hope it would work well. As the side effect of being close to metro station, you can hear the train.
Too noisy water pump in the bathroom.
the wi fi was not working in the room
This place was amazing and so was Giusy! She was warm, friendly, and helpful!! She even found a converter for my US cords for my use. I was apprehensive at first when I got in the building but this place is modern, very clean and inviting. It really was comfortable all the way around, the bathroom was very clean, shower was great and the bed was comfortable as well. I woke up and forgot where I was! I could not have asked for a better place. It's also conveniently located right in between the train station and the coliseum. You can pretty much walk to everything.
My wifi connection kept dropping. That was a little frustrating as an international guest, but I was grateful to have the free service either way!
