The location is excellen: walking distance from Castel Sant'Angelo, Vaticano, Tevere, very close to metro station and shopping area. I liked the staff of the hotel as well. Breakfast was ok for a 3* hotel. My room was really too small, no bathroom, was more like a room in a bad hostel, but it costs like a room in a good hotel in most of other European towns. It was no way to stay in this room (for example in a rainy day), you can only sleep there. And it is really noisy.

The Hotel Gerber was a very cosy hotel with a family focus. Service was excellant, the staff very friendly, the room clean and much larger than expected. Breakfast was continental and much to our taste as well the service at breakfast tmes was always with a smile and a warm greeting. The location, near the Vatican and in Prati was great for walking the neighborhoods for torurist sites, food and shopping. Proximity to the metro, bus or tram lines very well at hand. The Gerber Hotel made our stay in Rome that much more pleasurable. We liked the hotel very much and canot find fault, would welcome returning with family and friends and will do with our daughters.

1. Good location, close to metro station and with easy bus access as well as within fair walking distance to a number of major tour attractions. 2. clean room and friendly staff. 3. quiet and safe neighborhood. Expensive as all rome hotels are.

The hotel was so easy to get to from the crazy Rome metro system. Once there, we were pleasantly greeted by a wonderful desk clerk that was so helpful. He assisted with travel questions, and made the best suggestions for dinner. Our triple room was nicely laid out and even had a small closed in porch with room for a patio table and chairs. Breakfast was great for being included, a typical European light breakfast. It was closer to The Vatican than the other sites, but we knew that by doing our research. Even so, getting around Rome was easy enough with public transportation and tourist options. We'll stay there again. Wifi access was in the hallway outside our room, not really in the room.

My husband and I both agree that we would stay at the Hotel Gerber again if we went back to Rome. It's located within walking distance from the Vatican, but across the river from most of the other main tourist sites. This is not a problem, though, since the Metro is just a block away and is very easy to navigate. The hotel itself is small, spotlessly clean and the rooms are comfortable. They serve a nice European-style buffet breakfast with a range of selections, and the desk staff speaks English. They also have a lovely little couryard with a few tables off of the ground floor and a roof terrace on the top floor. We stayed at the Gerber both at the beginning and end of our trip in two different rooms. My only complaint is that the shower in the first room (on the ground floor) - was tiny. There was a lot of hot water though. At the end of our trip our room was on the top floor and the shower was much bigger, but we had a little difficulty getting hot water unless we let it run for quite some time.

Very good location....15' - 20' from all the sightseeing...no need to use metro / bus. Small rooms but when you visit Rome, you don't really care about that....

The hotel is perfect for those that want to visit ancient Rome and Vaticano. It's located in a very calm and safety quarter, nearby Vaticano (15m walking)and nearby a metro station (5 minutes walking). It's a clean hotel, breakfast ok and the rooms have space enought for those which the main objective it's to visit the old town and Vaticano. I will recommend this hotel to my friends

Staff very friendly and helpful including booking taxis, breakfast had no hot cooked food but plenty of cereals, croissants, meats/cheeses, eggs and coffee/tea. Bedroom was clean and bed comfy although it was not a double but two singles pushed together. Complimentary personal washing products in bathroom which had a powerful shower but cubicle was small, used wifi in room on 2nd floor without any problems. Great location could walk to vatican city or old roman Rome

Very good value for money! We travelled a lot of Europe and this was by far the best and cheapest 3 star hotel we stayed at. Plus the breakfast was included and it was really good including espresso coffee made fresh on request! Very clean room, freewifi worked perfect, and huge bathroom!
