Quite neighborhood Clean bathroom Few steps from lepanto metro Has elevator
Standard breakfast Aircon is not working well
Excellent located between Metro station and St.Peters Dome, friendly, relaxed.
Very strong space economy.
Location, cleanliness, friendliness of the staff. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Vatican City and the metro stop is within a block's walk to most other major sites in the Rome.
The bath could use more shelf space for our toiletries and hooks for towels, etc.
Shortly after checking into the hotel I went out for a walk and within 5 minutes fell because of a badly cracked sidewalk around the corner. Thankfully it was a sprain. In the following days the staff could not possibly have been more caring and helpful and I was so grateful. This is a lovely hotel close to good bus transportation, restaurants, etc. and very reasonably priced. The rooftop terrace was a great place to read, relax as was the terrace on the first floor. Breakfast was really good with terrific service by the friendly owner and his staff. This is truly a family run place; his daughter made several phone calls for me to rearrange my plans in light of my limited mobility in the beginning. I've been to Rome several times and this was my favorite place. My husband later joined me and we moved to a larger European chain hotel which proved to be a mistake as it had little of the charm and personal care of the Hotel Gerber, was much more expensive and not as good public transportation.
What a silly question...
Breakfast buffet was extensive and staff were present to greet and assist. The room AC worked great using handheld remote. Location was 50m from Lepanto metro station, yet hotel area was very quiet. Only 27 rooms and family run.
Old fashioned elevator was tiny and operated slowly. Faster to walk the stairs.
Everything went smoothly. Included breakfast was comprehensive. Staff helpful. Rooms comfortable. Included Wi-Fi was useful.
breakfast was of good quality
wi-fi not always available in all rooms
That i could not have breakfast as i was checking out at 4am n brrakfast is at 7am
Right beside the lepanto stop on the metro line Clean hotel - er got room on 4th floor Breakfast not bad Lovely staff
Clean and quiet. Courteous staff. Great location.
The room was not very large. Bathroom not as nice as other similarly priced hotels in the area we have stayed in.
I liked the convenience to restaurants that are not "tourist" spots.
Location,cleanliness,frendliness,the quirky elevator
the T. V system was too complicated to bother with, though in Rome one would want to watch it only during siesta time.
We spent a beautiful honeymoon here. Hotel Gerber is as affordable as any so centrally located (particularly well situated for those who are visiting the Vatican), but with a level of service and comfort that outdoes most of the accommodation at this range. Area is quieter than many with a healthy local buzz - try the Sicilian arancina shop and gelateria around the corner!
The helpfulness of the staff, the location and the cleanliness.
No ice available
The location is very good. Owner is beyond nice. The hotel is small but normal for Europe. Room is updated and clean. Very close to Metro. Vatican is 10-15 minute walk.
The night staff could smile more. LOL
good location, breakfast, free wi-fi, very kind staff, everything
All of the staff were most helpful--especially Allesdandro and Simonetta. The breakfast was very good--lots of choices and the service was first class. Location was just great for our trip. Good restaurants close by--Gracci, San Marco, REF. Room was more than adequate--we were on 4 and had the lovely patio just outside our door.
When people using the lift forgot to close the doors requiring a walk to other floors or the lobby.
We had a very nice time while there. Staff always went above and beyond. Close enough to walk to most key areas and when we got back too tired to go out for dinner, we brought food out to the back patio and enjoyed it.
The beds were a little too firm for my liking
Room always clean. Location is perfect. Staff and so friendly and helpful.
We had three adults in a room and there was plenty of space. The room was very clean - and was cleaned daily. All staff were very friendly. Great value for money. Would strongly recommend this hotel.
Location Staff serving the breakfast Enclosed balcony
Noise insulation between romos and noise from the corridor Old TV
Well located, around 200m from Metro and 10min walk to St. Peter's Square. Very nice breakfast (bread, cakes, drinks). Although the individual room is quite small, had a lovely balcony. The shared bathroom was very clean and I question how many rooms were using once I never saw anyone else there. Reliable wifi.
In spite of the the room facing to the noisy street it was quiet because the veranda has another window; but one needs to keep doors and windows shut. The veranda is really nice. The location is great; 15 min. to St. Angelo and 20 min. to St. Peter. The Quality of the breakfast is good for Italy (even cold hard-boiled eggs).
I had single room #112 for 75 to 80 € per night. The toilet and shower for this room is across the hallway. I think the value was o.k. for Rome. The quality of the mattrass was only o.k.
Friendly and helpful staffs. Recommended a good restaurant on our 1st day of arrival.
