the location and views, the staff were both friendly and helpful & and the evening Sicilian set meal was excellent.

One of the best agriturismos I´ve been to. Our bungalow had a view of the surrounding mountains and hilltop villages, including, smack-dab in the center, Mt. Etna! Imagine waking up with a smoking volcano in site! The bungalows are well-kept and very comfortable with a very useful and large refrigerator. TV was usual Italian fare. Beds were comfortable. There is a porch where you can sit out at night and breathe the very clean air and see the stars overhead. The restaurant is reasonably priced with local specialities. Exceptional is the pizza and focaccia (the picant one is exquisite). The pizzas are made by the hard-working and wonderful staff. The swimming pool is immaculate.

Excellent choise if you want to stay a night before visiting Etna. Mountains view, quite place, clean roms, good Wi-Fi. Really nice place to spend a night

Poor breakfast (as always in Italy)

Nice and friendly staff, especialy the owner Lorenzo and waiter Antonio (he is also good english speaker). Wonderful, very clean pool, beautiful view of Etna in front of the bungalow, beautiful nature. Food in the restaurant also very tasty, not expensive - pizza is the best. All in all an unforgetable stay at Agriturismo Ghiritina.

The setting is wonderfull, and there is a fantastic view - Etna is breathtaking.... Also from the big swimmingpool. The pizzeria/restaurant is very good, and they serve the best pizzas... Thanks to Lorenzo, the very friendly host. Who was very nice to our two sons.

We stayed in Ghiritina from thursday until sunday, and saturday night was dance-night, which we didn't knew when we booked. The party was fun to watch, but the music was very loud until 01.45 at night, and then came a big group of very loud italian guests in the bungalow-room next to us. From room to room in the bungalow it is very noisy. If you can't speak italian, it is very difficult to communicate with the staff, but they try the best they can. An extra bed for a child costs 30 euro per night if the child is more than 6 years old, which we couldn't see on booking.com.

Netter, einfacher Bungalow mit Kühlschrank und Blick auf den Etna in abslouter Ruhe. Preiswerte Alternative auf dem Land mit unglaublich hoher Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter.

L Agriturismo Ghiritina e un ottimo posto, pulizzhia eccezionale, bellissimo con un bel panorama degli montagne che si vedano dalla finestra della camera e poi Lorrenzo il padrone e sua moglie, il resto della famiglia sono molto accolienti e amichevoli ti danno una mano in tutto. E poi la cucina e ottima con pizza fatta a forno a legna e pasta fresca fatta in casa da provare. Vicino al gola dell Alcantara e altri posti come Giardini naxos e Taormina che sono da vedere in poco parole e un posto magicho lo consiglo a tutti :) re in Engish. A wonderfull peacfull place, the bungalows are very clean and confortable with a lovely view of the mountains. The family who run this agriturismo ( Lorenzo his wife and the rest of the family) are very nice people who would help you in everything especially they eill tell you nice places to visit. The restaurant its great with pizza made tradisionally in wood oven and homemade fress pasta not to be missed with value for money. Its few minutes away from Alcantara river and other wonderfull places such as Taormina and Giardini Naxos are a Few kilometeres away. For sure we will come again.. Matthew & Gloria from Malta

Lo scaldabagno non funzionava (acqua fredda), frigorifero fatiscente riverniciato "similegno".

Tenu par des gens chaleureux, sympathiques, à l'écoute de vos moindres souhaits, prêts à se mettre en quatre pour que votre séjour chez eux soit des plus agréables... Un endroit calme avec des vues superbes, notamment sur l'Etna... Une piscine calme à proximité des chambres pour passer d'agréables moments seul ou en famille... Proche du village pour faire quelques courses, proche de la côte et à une distance raisonnable des grandes villes ou lieux de visite de ce côté de la Sicile... Bref un endroit charmant, quelque peu magique par moment, où nos retournerons plus que volontiers ne serait ce que pour revoir et partager encore de bons moments avec nos hôtes...

Non si puo' parlare di stanza ma di bungalow molto spartano con assenza di cura dei particolari ed arredamenti antiquati.

The setting with the view of Mount Etna The relative ease with which you could drive to other places in the east of Sicily Friendly staff who did their best to accommodate our requests even though it was hard to communicate (we would have had great difficulty if we hadn't know a bit of Italian ourselves). Good pizzas Would recommend in season - can imagine it would be a great place to stay for a few days.

We went out of season (mid February) and our room was very cold to start with, as it was an outside bungalow. The bathroom was very cold throughout our stay. The main building was also very cold, and we were the only guests staying there. A lot of the advertised attractions were closed - this was a problem throughout Sicily - would not recommend at the time of year we were there.

Great place, delicious home made foods. The best pizza I ever tried. A huge pizzas with fresh ingridients, yet very light. Clean rooms, cozy pool. Splendid view over Etna. Very helpfull staff. A calm and secluded place.

Supervriendelijke mensen, fantastisch uitzicht, mooie kamers, leuke locatie (als je een auto hebt) en simpel, maar goed ontbijt.

Locatie is leuk als je het niet erg vindt om elke dag een stukje te rijden, verder goede uitvalsbasis. In het weekend kan er geluidsoverlast zijn van feesten.

Le calme. Endroit paisible avec belle vue sur l'Etna. Personnel agréable et très serviable. Pizzeria sur place. Les pizzas y sont excellente et le prix est très raisonnable. Belle Piscine a quelques metres du bungalow et peu fréquentée.

Rien. Si ce n'est de bien se protéger contre les moustiques...

Location, it has a very nice view to Mount Etna. It's relatively close to the beach (~ 30 min drive), Taormina, and Alcantara gorge (~ 5 min drive). The onsite restaurant is very good and relatively inexpensive, especially the pizza bar. Also the house wine is good and too expensive.

When we arrived we were given a room in a shack for seasonal workers accompanied by a claim that it was a normal room (I should admit the room was clean but it was not a hotel room). We had to threaten them that we would move out next morning (we were planning to stay there for three nights) without payment for the remaining two nights and leaving bad reviews on booking.com and tripadviser.com unless they move us to a normal room. They moved us but they did not seem to be happy about that. I don't know whether its was some kind of a special treatment or they were simply overbooked since there was a big language problem. The only language spoken by staff was Italian except for one waiter who spoke a bit of English (he was very helpful). I don't know if our cases was a rule or hopefully an exception but be aware.
