Hotel Giardino Inglese    

Clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Good size room with a nice balcony to the park. Definitely will stay here again.

Bath room a bit small, not enough shelf space to put personal items.

Small and elegant hotel, located in the quiet and safe zone of Giardino Inglese Park. Staff very polite and helpful. Especially Maria from reception. I liked the most the view to the park. Very well located for the airport bus and for the double decker bus. Breakfast was good, but italian style: canneloni, cake, yogurt, cheese, salami

The location was very good. Even though it's situated on a busy road the window glazing is so good no noise is heard in the room at night or early morning. There is a very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is very good.

The only thing that surprised me is that the hotel has a facility of transport to the airport. When I asked how much I was told €50. this is in fact dearer than a taxi which costs between €40 - €45. So we took the taxi more out of principle than anything else. If the hotel facility was a little more cheaper than the taxi one would be inclined to use it and give someone a job.

I liked the location of the hotel. It is situated in an appealling part of Palermo. Here the tree-lined streets are wider than in the more recently-constructed and densely populated 'high-rise' areas. My balcony overlooked the extensive and beautiful parkland of the 'Giardino Inglese' (English Garden), home of many well-established trees and well-maintained gardens. The staff were friendly and attentive and they also appreciated my attempts to converse with them in my 'beginners' Italian! The hotel is comfortable and well-appointed. I always ate breakfast in the dining room which is conveniently sited just downstairs from the lobby. For my purposes, the hotel represented very good 'value for money.'

A super week in a very comfortable hotel. The staff were most hospitable and friendly, and having stayed for three nights we were offered a slightly larger room for our remaining four nights, which we regarded as a very pleasant upgrade. Having then experienced both a room at the front and the rear of the building we would say that both were very good. The latter room overlooked the park and was perhaps marginally quieter, but both rooms were fine. Our booking was for accommodation and breakfast. The breakfast was very good, with a wide choice and a truly delicious range of Sicilian cakes. We would hope to return for next year's Eco Targa Florio. The hotel is very well-served by public transport and the airport bus has a stop within 200 metres. The centre of the city is a comfortable stroll of approximately 15 minutes. For us, everything was as good as it gets!

Trying to get there from the road is a nightmare as is everything else when driving in Palermo. Truly there are so many other wonderful places to see in Sicily if one is driving I would not under any circumstances go into Palermo.

The hotel was very close to the bus stops to and from the airport. Fare about €6 each compared to €45 for a taxi. Surrounded by public gardens, our room had a delightful outlook, was comfortable and quiet. The property had luxury fittings in the room and public areas. Breakfast provided was good. Staff were informative and helpful.

Rooms facing the street could be a bit noise for a light sleeper. Other then that it’s perfect.

The location is a short walk away from the busy city centre and provides quiet relaxation from the noise of the city.The room was spacious with our own terrace and I think this may have been a superior room and so was excellent value for money. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again when I return to Palermo.

One of the best **** hotels I've ever seen, it's perfectly located in the park. Ask a room with garden view if possible. Rooms are very nice and well-renovated.

Wonderful service, friendly staff and a very elegantly decorated room.

There were some details that were overlooked in our suite. The room's tea kettle caddie was not washed from the previous guest, the bath mat was missing, one of the robes was missing it's sash and the guest information folder/book was not in the room. Very minor inconveniences that were corrected in a timely manner but should have been avoided.

Loved location next to Giardino Inglese but long way to walk back from the city centre after a day's sightseeing.

We were able to converse in English with the main reception staff, who were very helpful. Our rooms were spacious, the bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, a cross between Sicilian and English, with fresh coffee. The hotel was a little way out from the centre of Palermo, but the local bus service was adequate for our needs.

A minor complaint (although it did not affect our stay), the hotel was unable to help with any tourist information relating to coach excursions etc.

We liked everything! Hotel located in the city centre, we took a shuttle from Airport for 6.10 euro only. There is a beautiful garden near the hotel, we had the room with garden view. Breakfast is also fine.

A lovely hotel, with spacious and modern rooms, nice bathroom, a balcony overlooking the beautiful Giardino Inglese park, free Wi-Fi, TV with Sky digital satellite

no private parking at the hotel, but there was a public parking across the street and it was not expensive, the breakfast was ok, but we really missed some vegetables and scrambled eggs were not tasteful
