This hotel is situated in the historical centre of Prato, in a quiet, tranquil pedestrian area that is nonetheless easily accessible to guests with cars.

Guests can enjoy proximity to Prato’s charming thirteenth century centre as well as some of the finest restaurants in Tuscany. In fact, the left-hand side of the hotel overlooks the Piazza del Duomo square and Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. Moreover, Prato’s Porta al Serraglio railway station serving the Florence – Viareggio line is just a few metres from the hotel, as is the central bus stop serving all major routes, including Florence.

The hotel was founded towards the end of the eighteen hundreds, and has been run by the Fiesoli – Risaliti family since 1935.

The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the hotel's staff will be delighted to recommend some of the finest local restaurants where you can sample the exquisite Tuscan cuisine.

Room information

The hotel comprises of 28 rooms on 4 floors, the fourth of which has been converted into an attractive loft.

Every room offers comfort and common amenities. In addition most rooms have bathrooms with a bath.

Area information

The city limits extend to three areas: the Business District in Prato East, just off the motorway exit; the Industrial District; and the mainly residential historical centre which is still surrounded by the original fourteenth century city walls.

It is in the historical centre, just a short walk from the hotel, that many of the architectural and artistic sites are located. These include; the local theatres; the Textile Museum; the Civic Museum; San Domenico Church (with paintings by thirteenth and fifteenth century Masters) and; the Castle of Emperor Federico Barbarossa (the only example of Swabian architecture in the north of Italy).

A prime example of the economic and cultural development of Prato and the veritable “jewel in the crown” of the city is the Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art. Situated in Prato East, the Centre was founded in 1988 and houses a permanent collection exhibited on a rotating schedule. It also offers a wide range of programmes, temporary exhibits and educational activities. The Centre is also equipped with an efficient Information, Documentation and Visual Art Centre.

The staff, the hotel was nice, and placement excellent

Odor of years of smoking in the room, unknown if they had tried to wash it down. The reception desk had to have car keyes at all times to move the cars around at a small public street corner. However, they did not charge us for that job.

The staff were friendly. The breakfast was pleasant. The hotel is close to the local (not main) train station in Prato making travel to Florence & around convenient.

Our room was very noisy as one side was located on main square & the other on a busy thoroughfare with traffic noise starting in earnest around 6am. The shower tray was small & surrounded by a curtain which tried to cling to the body when showering.

Acceuil, gentlllesse et serviabilite exceptionnels. Chambre correcte et certainement tres bon rapport cout/qualite.

La situation au centre de la ville a des avantages et des inconvenients. Le bruit en est un, heureusement, il y a des doubles vitrages. pour un court sejour comme nous l'avons fait, tres bien,mais je ne le rcommenderais pas pour un long sejour.

El hotel tiene una situación ideal para desplazarse en tren a Florencia y alrededores, una buena opción si vas con coche y no deseas preocuparte del estacionamiento y la circulación infernal de Florencia. El trato del personal es excelente, es un hotel muy familiar en el que se mima al huesped. El desayuno es delicioso, sirven un cafe recien hecho realmente bueno.
