The location near Termini Station (8 min) and the Coliseum (15 min) by walk, a 3-minute walk from the subway station Manssoni (A line that connects the main sights) , which is quieter and safer than Vittorio Emanuelle . The room was clean , the sheets and towels were new and clean. It is still a 2 star hotel , you can not have higher expectations than a clean bed and a decent breakfast . There in Rome hotels with more stars and poorer services .
The bathroom and shower were too small . The toilet seat broke and was not replaced
Despite our initial concerns about being in a different hotel, the room actually turned out to be really nice and was on a very nice street in a better location than the actual hotel.
we didn't realise that we had booked a room in a different location, so after arriving at 11pm, we then had to walk 10mins to where we were staying. Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention when booking but that didn't seem clear.
*It was cheap
*We got an annex room, but didn't think that it was a big deal. Turns out the room is not across the street or next door, the walk took about 40 minutes. And the person in the main building did not suggest any means of transportation. *The room was hard to find, and you get the feeling like you're about to break in in someone's apartment. *There is no personnel present, so any questions (most likely also breakfast) can only be answered/served in the main building. *Shower curtain looked like they haven't changed it for at least 5 years.
Location in the proximity of cultural sights, helpful staff and a surprisingly clean room.
Although the shower was clean, it could use some attention regarding to the sanitary.
We hat another reservation for 18/19 and they canceled without notice just 2 days before we arrive in rome. THEY HAVE THE GOAL TO TELL US TO GO TO ANOTHER PLACE DOUBLE PRICE AND WITHOUT ANY APOLOGYZE OR EXPLANATION. they say the hotel is in termini area but it is not, is allmost one and half kilometers from the station
see before. this is not the way to tract guests, if they have overkooking they have to provide another place and to pay for it, our reservation was paid and confirm since 2 months, and they tell as was canceled just 2 days before arriving to rome with tens of thowsends people coming to beatification of pope paulus VI.
-The place. Hotel is near the center, from where you can explore old town only on foot. -The SUPERMARKET and a great GELATERIA are just around the corner; -Staff is very pleasant; -You can get a free map of Rome old town; -There is an air conditioner and TV in the room; -Breakfast is good with a very delicious coffee.
-The street is quiet noisy, especially before the weekend; -The room was quite dark; -There was no wi-fi (we didn't ask about it, becouse we didn't need it, maybe staff can solve this problem)
The staff are excellent and very dedicated. The Hotel is small but clean.Close to Termini.15 Mins on foot.
The single room Bed was not comfortable and The Wifi was very bad.
No wifi and aircon not working
Staff very friendly Funcionários simpáticos. Thanks for the experience, turned out to be fun to stay in this hotel Valeu pela experiência, acabou por ser divertido ficar neste hotel
Internet is terrible and the rooms are a little old, like the city Internet é péssima e os quartos já são um pouco velhos, como a cidade
Nice room, cosy beds, excellent wifi speed. Room is fitted with a small refridgerator, a big wardrobe and a desk.
Main issue for me was a different location of my room. Hotel Ginevra is located on the different street and "annex" rooms are on Palestro Street in a private flat! All in all, they look ok, but it was a big trouble to browse new city. We should have been informed earlier about it. The hotel service was not ok. I booked 5 nights and room has been cleaned only once. Hardly did they try to maintain shared bathroom clean. The shower curtain stinks and gets green in the bottom! The service entered my room without knocking, very disgraceful and nosy.
Helpful staff Small rooms but good value
No wifi. Poor management leads to room overbooked. The staff arranged us to another place and the staff there was really really really unfriendly. Bad impression in Rome !!
They change my room without noticing me, and I have to go to another place so cost additional 15 euros. The toilet is disgusting. Rooms are small and old.
Walking distance from Kolosseum Price Silent Nice staff
Why was it written there was Wifi?? Why is the image taken from anotehr building which has very few to do with Hotel Ginvera? Bathroom does not smell very good!
It was fairly close to the Roman Forum
It was in a poor neighborhood. There was almost no WiFi. No one had cleaned under the bed for a very long time. They didn't change the towels for 4 days (whole stay). The toilet seat was missing and they didn't change it as they said on the first, second and third day of our stay. The bathroom was very tiny - 2 m to 1 m. One of the days the cleaning lady forgot to lock the room after cleaning. Almost every day there was a different person on the reception and this person never asked for identification when when asked for the key.
No Wifi (said there was on website) Bathroom smelt of drains with slippery floors No toilet roll holder even! Area Dark room
Friendliness of owner Good value for money Great location Breakfast in room
Smell in toilets
Location is very poor, staff attitude is very poor ,not provide air conditioning in the hot summer air conditioning
The staff were wonderful. Friendly, helpful and kind. The room and bathroon and bedding were clean and adequate. the Location was great. Close to buses and metro stations and close enough to walk to quite a few tourist spots. The breakfast was good.
I would have found a kettle and a small bar fridge very helpful. For a budget traveller it would have been great to be able to store a bit of food and beverage.
Value of money, location, food shop (SPAR) 1 minutes walk from hotel.
Room at first floor very noisy, all night somebody walking near door, make phone calls, laughing etc. Maybe it's a non-bad hotel, but only not a room at first floor near reception.
The website desctiption is very unclear about the fact that there are 2 places of the same hotel at far locations. We came in the middle of the night to find out we need to go to the other place and pay for another taxi!
fairly convenient location, good ac, nice staff
wifi didn't work, dead mosquitoes all over walls,
Mosquito infested, dirty, no window, shower literally on top of toilet, no door to bathroom, uncomfortable beds. I do not recommend
Good location, near a Metro stop. Hotel offers an airport lift service at a good price. Comfortable and clean enough.
Wifi access was non-existant
The room itself wasn't too bad.
30+ mosquito bites, chasing mosquitos around the room at 1am, 3am, 5am, adding to the mosquito corpse collection and wading in 6cm water through the bathroom to the toilet because of the dodgy shower.
