Casa Santa Sofia is in a lively square in Rome’s Monti area, full of bars and restaurants and just over a quarter mile from the Colosseum. It has free Wi-Fi throughout.

Conveniently located in Rome city centre, 50 metres from the Termini Station, Roxena House offers free WiFi and 24-hour front desk assistance. Each room features a TV, a fan and city views.

Mosquito infested, dirty, no window, shower literally on top of toilet, no door to bathroom, uncomfortable beds. I do not recommend
Good location, near a Metro stop. Hotel offers an airport lift service at a good price. Comfortable and clean enough.
Wifi access was non-existant
The room itself wasn't too bad.
30+ mosquito bites, chasing mosquitos around the room at 1am, 3am, 5am, adding to the mosquito corpse collection and wading in 6cm water through the bathroom to the toilet because of the dodgy shower.
The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful.
Mosquitis- old- disgusting- rotting ( postage tape to hold rotting wood together) wires hanging out of walls - no aircon- old- shower over the toilet- awful location-!
The bed was really big, the location was good, the room was comfy, and included a small fridge. Also the Wifi was excellent, that was great.
I didn't like the shower, it was really poor, the towels were not so clean. Also, I didn't like that I first had to go to Hotel Ginevra but my room was somewhere else, in the opposite direction and I was not aware of this before I arrived. The staff didn't speak good English, or didn't speak English at all
Air conditioner leaked water on the floor Bathroom had a sewage odor Walls were dirty
wifi didn´t work stinky bathroom
Good localization, close to a metro station and easy access to main tourist points
no elevator and a bad smell in the room coming from the bathroom made it a bad experience.
The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating! They have two locations, both well situated in the city, though far apart and you may have to trek between them.
It was very warm at night. We had to keep the window open in hopes of a breeze which resulted in a fair amount of noise from the street. A fan would work wonders!
beautifully decorated. good location. staffs are hospitable and helpful
Wi-Fi can not work that day
Extremely kind and helpful staff. Very nice place and close to Colosseum.
Wi-fi was not working.
No Wi-Fi. They said that something is broken, but in fact they did not pay for the internet, 7 days without Wi-Fi. The ceiling was falling and it was wet. The door from the bathroom got stuck, and they removed the lock, in conclusion you could not close the door from the bath. I never saw the cleaning staff in the 7 days, the room dirty, I had to take my garbage and throw away from my room. I paid for the breakfast, but you could take the breakfast if you were lucky and the woman come. And you could take your breakfast only in your room because they don't have a room this. In my room was only 1 chair for 2 persons. Anyway the breakfast was like one croissant and a cafe. I had luck that the air conditioning was working because there were some rooms without air conditioning, and that in Rome in August. I have some pictures if somebody doesn't believe me, I could not upload them.
Close to many sites.15min walk to Colosseum. 5min to Metro. Supermarket on corner.Restaurants close by.
Unable to get WiFi as they didn't know the password to a new system. Children were not happy! Air con was just about adequate after several hours of running.
Wifi is good
1.There is no air conditional 2.We had public bethroom and they didn't clean it everyday. 3.We went to the hotel and the waiter said our room is not in the place which they said in website and so so far away. Even it said sb will lead us to other place, No one lead us to our room. And they told us the wrong place, fortunately someone helped us to call the hotel again. And they said they gave us wrong address. With fucking 30kg luggage
host is very kind close to Termini
no AC in annex no water pressure in shower
-clean and comfortable room -good location
-No WIFI -Staff doesn't know why there is NO WIFI and can't point out if it will be available someday - staff is not friendly, they are just smiling not knowing what you're saying. - TV and Air Conditioner without energy (AC looked very old so even if there would be energy i wouldn't try to turn it on) -It looked like anyone could enter this hotel and pick up any room key he wanted to. -No lock in the shared bathroom -Optional breakfasts are something what made my day: It was like "I will sell you something what is left in my fridge but at this time there is not too much left. You will get coffee and please tell me what time you will get up so I could prepare it."
Room was clean, relatively quiet, tight but well furnished. Location could be worse - metro station and lots of restaurants close. Aircon was a pleasure after the hot day.
Promised WIFI was "broken" and staff seemed helpless to get it fixed. I was left to find a restaurant with WIFI to plan the next step in my trip. I would have stayed longer, but not without connectivity.
"Near" the coliseum
No wifi, terrible staff, (bad english and italian for comunication, very rude) dirty bathrooms, broken things...
very nice and helpful lady:), great location, clean room, close to supermarket and metro.
air conditioning was broken
At the first day, after I checked in I should move 2.5km with my heavy carrier because of main building and annex is separated too far(client told me that I should take bus.but I can't buy tickets because It was 9P.M, Sunday. So I cannot help walking that long distance) . And building is so old that curtain was fallen down when I just tend to blind window. water is not go down well at the washingstand. Tap of the shower room is separatrd. Atfer that client threat me by using letter and require us to pay about damaging. And insist that before I go there, everything was perfect. I think client of here is very strange.
It was just two blocks from the station Manzoni of the red metro line.
Our room was at the top of the building so we had no WiFi access in the room due to bad signal. We were offered a room with shared bathroom although we payed for a standard double room. The window could not be closed and we had no air condition as it was broken (just a fan).
Location is close to train station, metro station and the Colosseum.
The key did not work straight away with this room. It got stuck and wouldn't lock. After a very helpful member staff tried and then rang the owner we managed to lock the door and it worked for the rest of the trip. However, not being able to lock it straight away gives a sense of how well was the hotel actually kept.
The staff was somewhat accomodating.
Our first room was.on the 4th floor with no working AC, no working wifi, and a bathroom with mosquitoes and a broken shower head. We asked if we could have a different room or a refund. It took about 30 minutes for them to change us to a different room that was more acceptable but had a sewage smell coming from the bathroom which can't be healthy. I'm all for saving money, but this place wasn't worth the low cost.
Absolutly the best of 5-6 budget hotels I stayed at in Rome. Perfect location. This is not a block of Termini with it station noise and dirt, but also 10 minutes on foot to the station, even if iyou don't want to take the subway, which is convenient for day trips outside of Rome. Perfect stuff. Working wifi.
Close to the city centre. Only 20 minutes on foot to Coloseum. Station Manzoni is in the neighborhood.
If you have the room next to reception earplugs are necessary because it is very noisy
