I normally pay less for hotels similar to this but the services were good. Had complimentary mini bar although it only included one beer and a coke. Rooms were good and the lay out and interior were nice design as with the whole hotel. Just minor issues like on booking.com it said rooms included safe deposits, robes etc and a few other perks but it didn't. The wardrobe had no hangers. I guess because we were two males they put us on the basic rooms on the top floor and saved the best for the couples. I peeked in a couple while the maids were cleaning and they looked awesome. It wasn't a problem just a bit of a set back when I expected it but it wasn't there plus for the price I payed I expected every thing to be perfect. Normally paying that sort of price everything is but saying that it was pretty decent and the location was perfect as well. When I booked this hotel it was the only one in the center (3-4*) hotels that had good ratings the rest seemed dodgy for what they were asking for room rate. Facilities where good, bathroom , wine bar, wine celler, lobby and breakfast. Also wifi was available everywhere. nice friendly staff. Bit expensive but I recommend it as I said if you are fussy on hotels most hotels I looked at in Florence center that were 3 or 4* seemed to be a risk for the price they were asking.
It's hard to complain and find faults all the basics you need in a hotel it provided. But for the price I payed and the way they advertised the hotel I expected the mini bar fridge to be colder, each floor had a lounge area with nice relaxing jazz music but the coffee machines had no coffee in, no hangers in the wardrobe but it's minor things that won't be. Problem of enjoying the hotel and your stay in florence
the female receptionist is friendly and helpful
the male receptionist is not helpful enough
Super friendly staff Great little garden terrasse
A bit more lean & cleaning (a bit dusty) wouldn't hurt. Just OK Breakfast choice
this was a quiet oasis in the centre of a busy city. we loved how close it was to everything. would sta here again
The staff was very nice and very accommodating. What they lacked in accommodations, they made up in service.
Rooms are quite small for the for the price.
Very close to everything, nice room. Girl in reception area was very nice and helpful
Very steap narrow stairs to all rooms, not much room in the receipt area on arrivel with cases Breakfast bread hard and stale, but rest was fine. Not enough power points in our room, had to plug the kettle in the bathroom.
Great location for walking, the shopping areas, close to Statue of David and the Market
The location was excellent. The staff were amazing.
Room was a little dark and tight
Very dusty and dirty furniture in rooms.
Did not help us to accommodate our special needs and had to leave the hotel and charge the addition days anyway.
The location is great and very near to many nice restaurants, shopping and most importantly interesting sites to visit. The hotel itself is small but cosy and the friendly staffs more than make up all other shortcomings.
Staff were very helpful
Room was spacious and had a couch which great for relaxing. Nice diversity at breakfast but poor coffee.
Wifi was hard to connect to. Lots of noise from the alley and street made it difficult to sleep.
Staff is very friendly Breakfast spread was good Bed was comfortable
Actually everything was fine..,
Location was great. Staff were lovely. Little courtyard for breakfast was sweet. No lift but luggage was dealt with by staff on arrival and departure.
Wifi was poor in our room but good on ground floor. (our room was on third floor). Decor was dated in room but all clean and tidy. No lift so difficult should you have trouble managing stairs.
Helpful staff, complimentary drinking water and breakfast included. Location great.
Located very close to the main sites but away from the crowd. Bed very comfortable. Not luxurious but good value. Staff helpful including printing off our return boarding passes, and the wi-fi worked - most of the time!
Our room overlooked the street and it was noisy on the first night in the small hours, but fine the next 2 nights. There are a lot of stairs and no lift, so not for the infirm, but if you walk around Florence for 3 days and climb the Duomo, then it's nothing.
Very small shower room
Noisy old plumbing!
the wifi was weak sometimes
Great location in centre of city, yet quiet so no disturbed nights. Staff were very helpful and the (historic) building itself was very interesting. Great rate for the centre of Florence
no lift, so 64 steps to our room at the top of the building. (staff carried luggage) but it would not suit all. Breakfast selection a bit limited (rubbery eggs)
The building, The staff, The room.
Unfortunetely the breakfast was disapointing. We are big coffee lovers and the coffee was terrible.
Got a discounted rate and I find it very fair. Very good location, two minutes’ walk from the main attractions of Florence. The rest is ok but nothing special.
Breakfast was very basic; a selection of fruits was limited to watermelon and peaches while it was August. The courtyard looks sad. Not sure if they provide laundry service as we couldn’t find any in the guest book. The room was ok but quite basic.
Most of the staff was friendly and the morning manager went out of his way to try to fix things that went wrong.
The rooms are in serious need of a refurbish. On the first night I was given a dodgy room on 6th floor under roof (no elevator), bad aircon. I suspect the room was rented illegally; it said 'privato' on the door. Second night got a better room but construction in the courtyard made my room unbearable all day and woke me up on a saturday at 9am. Was given a broken iron and broken hairdryer.
Location, friendly staff, value for money, excellent capuccino & coffee for breakfast
Low water pressure in the shower, poor wifi connection, limited breakfast options for a 4 star hotel.
Location to everything is excellent
