Helpful staff, complimentary drinking water and breakfast included. Location great.
Located very close to the main sites but away from the crowd. Bed very comfortable. Not luxurious but good value. Staff helpful including printing off our return boarding passes, and the wi-fi worked - most of the time!
Our room overlooked the street and it was noisy on the first night in the small hours, but fine the next 2 nights. There are a lot of stairs and no lift, so not for the infirm, but if you walk around Florence for 3 days and climb the Duomo, then it's nothing.
Very small shower room
Noisy old plumbing!
the wifi was weak sometimes
Great location in centre of city, yet quiet so no disturbed nights. Staff were very helpful and the (historic) building itself was very interesting. Great rate for the centre of Florence
no lift, so 64 steps to our room at the top of the building. (staff carried luggage) but it would not suit all. Breakfast selection a bit limited (rubbery eggs)
The building, The staff, The room.
Unfortunetely the breakfast was disapointing. We are big coffee lovers and the coffee was terrible.
Location, friendly staff, value for money, excellent capuccino & coffee for breakfast
Low water pressure in the shower, poor wifi connection, limited breakfast options for a 4 star hotel.
Location to everything is excellent
It was all bad, don't bother booking here
Location! Very helpful staff. Spacious room. Classic interior. Free wine, beer, soda, mineral waters in the mini-bar!
Breakfast did not have much selection
Helpful. Recommended a street food market which was one of the highlights of our trip. Room was nice and fridge stocked. Breakfast was nice.
Bathroom was rather small but did the job. Too floor "suite" was more just a normal room.
Quality of rooms and food
recent make-over well done great location
had to change from two to one night only due to flight change and whilst they re-sold the room no refund was available
Where it was
Noisy every night time so difficult to sleep. Lousy breakfast selection. Very expensive. Tiny tiny shower where picking up the soap was a problem if you dropped it- we are not large people either. Stairs were very steep and no lift. Felt very sorry for the elderly, frail man who insisted on carrying the bags up on check in and departure ( my husband helped as we couldn't standby and watch).
Location: within 5 minutes walk of rows of tented street vendors. Many eateries from simple sandwich shops to true Tuscan restaurants plus the multitude of gelato stops! European breakfast included was good start to the day.
Knew there was not an elevator and was okay with that. But the stairs are slanted, not level, making it harder to walk up. Wifi was on and off in the room but worked well in the lobby. The A/C never sufficiently cooled the old, dark room. It was cramped with 2 makeshift single beds against the walls and 2 pushed together for a larger bed. The bedding has seen better days. Flooring had minor cracks and dents. Furniture was old and abused with worn corners and the wardrobe's side had a crack and the back was loose. Bathroom was sub par as well. Front desk personnel though nice and friendly need to learn more English. I could not recommend this hotel for all the negatives. Americans will not be comfortable, especially for the price.
No Fire security equipment, not clean as 4star hotel, strange decoration in the room, worst wifi connection ever in a 4star hotel, bad breakfast, especially the eggs, strange fried eggs with milk, taste really bad
Close to everything, restaurantes to choose from, transportation great
The charge for wifi was steep especially the charge was per day, they have free wifi at the lobby so a bunch of people were crunched up there
The staff were incredibly helpful. For example, when we were given a room we did not like so much, they gave us a better one. They are there to help with all of your queries and small problems. The second room we had was really very good - large, comfortable, quiet and air-conditioned. Also, they offer you a well-stocked free minibar and you can borrow bikes to cycle around the city.
There was nothing we disliked, but I should say that the rooms are not all of the same standard.
Location and the mural on the ceilings
The air conditioner stopped working and was not fixed by the staff member upon us complaining. It was really hot and very noisy from the street and we could not sleep. Bring your own pillow and eye mask.
The closeness of the Hotel to the centre of Florence and its convenience to the train and bus station. The included breakfast was a bonus, as was the complimentary bottle of wine.
Very stylish décor - fab ceilings! Large room with comfortable bed in classical style with extraordinary modern and highly functional ensuite bathroom! Pleasant staff and reasonable breakfast. Ideal for sight-seeing and shopping!
Enjoyable, helpful staff in a good location
Location 2 blocks from Duomo.
No elevator, tiny (really tiny) room and no escape plan behind door. In room #13, mine, a fire would trap you.
Perfect location, at the heart of the city; very friendly staff
