The hotel is in a great location (just a short distance from the station SMN and the main sights of the city), the staff is friendly and helpful and, I think, the quality / price ratio is very high.
Helpful owner, at the heart of tourist attractions, good breakfast. value for money.
Great place. Dario is one of the most helpful people I have come across.
Great location - just down the road from SMN train station and a short walk from the main attractions. Friendly English speaking staff. Comfortable, clean rooms.
Our street facing room was very noisy from 6.30am onwards.
Good location and friendly staff
It's Mother & Son business. Excellent attitude and very helpful.
The owner was very welcoming and accommodating.
location, we very good
We made sure air conditioning was working before we made our reservation and that was confirmed by the hotel by email BUT it was turned off when we got there and we didn't know until night time. when no one was there to help us, or turn the power on. As a result, our room was hot and stuffy with a LOT of noise from outside and mosquitos were in the room and chewed us all night. If you're from N. America as we are BEWARE! If your histamine response is used used to Euro mosquitos you 'll get lumps, not bites and they will itch for about a week! Owner-Manager had a near fit and stomped around like a child whwen we complained but did agree to put us into the room next door which had glass that cut most of the noise and he also agreed to turn on the power for the air conditioning rather than have us leave and refund our money, so the second room was much better. Breakfast reflected the owners disire to not be in the hotel business or laziness but was much less than stellar and below the quality of similar hotels in Siena, Rome, Modena for example. Had to go out to the lobby to use wifi which was another thing we checked on before booking. We're experienced travellers and know to ask if wifi works well in rooms, which we were assured did but actually did not.
The location was perfect. Basically ground zero. The owner was a lovely man who did everything to make us feel comfortable and also helped us out reserving places at the Uffizi. He also helped carry the bags as we were travelling with the kids, we really appreciated the extra help!
Even if the room was a little small, the shower was excellent. The breakfast was a little austere nevertheless more than adequate.
Very close to the train station and historic centre of Florence. Room basic but nice. Typical italian breakfast, nothing to complain. The staff at reception very friendly and helpful. Feel free to ask their opinion about where to eat in Florence, they gave us very good suggestions.
Would be perfect if there is a lift.
Less than 10 minutes pulling the suitcase from the central Bus or Train Station, and museums. Good Breakfast- yougurt, coffee, O.J., breads, jam, honey, cookies. Good english and good directions, Great WiFi connection
near main station
Located at the second floor and No elevator.
Great spot on small street with lots of nice restaurants, street away from markets and shops.clean, safe and friendly, all you need on a budget.
Really poor wi fi.
Hotel Giotto's location is excellent. There are many shops and restaurants in the proximity of the hotel. The owners were very helpful and friendly and did their best to make our stay in Florence an enjoyable experience. It is value for the price you pay.
Unfortunately, we had the room facing the main street and it was a bit noisy during the night.
Could have more choice for breakfast
Walking distance to all sights, nice large room with air conditioning, good breakfast in the morning.
Great location. Family run. Considerate people that try hard to please
more or less everything else
Location, friendly stuff, good breakfast and very good wi-fi.
Cosy family-run hotel, very close to the main attractions. Hard-working and very accomodating staff. You get a lot for the money you pay.
The owner/host was very helpful, friendly, professional and obviously very proud of his hotel. The room was very comfortable and one very special part of the room was that when he completed renovations he kept the original beam ceilings, giving the room lots of historical character.
The Internet access code changes each evening at 8:00 so there is no Internet access after that until the next morning. It would be great if guests could get the new code after 8:00 each evening.
The location was good, very close to termini and historical center. Bathroom was clean and room was very big.
The smell in the bathroom a bit annoying and wifi connection was weak. The price was a bit high for room.
Entrance to hotel not easy to find, Access to the second floor, were the hotel is, no very well iluminated, not the best odor (smell). Very costly parking.
Location and staff and wifi and comfortable
They didnt change the towels evryday
