Clean rooms, good located. There are special offers in an Osteria near by. Very flexible check-in/check-out times; staff is reachable by phone all day.

Street noise was a bit too much in the room; better windows could help.

Part of a character building in the local style, our rooms had great views of the duomo nearby; lake, station (Lago de Nord) and funicular all close by.Eating options - 'special dinner' and cafe breakfast - were both convenient and enjoyable.

the rooms are thematic,every room has a different character...nice and clean,the common bathroom very clean and right next to us. Mauriccio was excellent and very helpfull!

it was a little difficult to find the bb but ok.the breakfast is very poor...only a croissant and a cappuccino.

The street where Gira Megaride is situated is one of the busiest in Como, lots of traffic. The owner was never present in the property, shared bathroom with several rooms. Actually, it is an appartment transformed into "hotel" without reception. Three days before arriving I sent the mail what time we are going to be at the property (2 pm), but nobody was there to open the door. We spent almost one hour going from one restorant to another asking if Rafaello works there as we were told he run a restorant too. At the and one worker succeded to find him by phone (ours had problems with roaming). Booking.com should inform guests that Rafaello accept only tel. Calls. If you have no phone, no possibility to enter the house. Overpriced, for the service offered. Just for comparisson, in Milano we stayed in a four stars hotel with excellent buffet breakfast.

Grazie mille, Rafaello! The apartment was great: spacious, well equipt, authentic. Breakfast served in a bar few blocks away helps to dip into local atmosphere.

Be prepared there is no lift, the apartment is 3rd floor. No kettle and washing machine (not a big deal for a short term staying). Some minor problems wigh a sink in bathroom.

No reception, you get to the building and then have to call the owner, who arrives to let you in, not bad just rather strange.

A small organizational problem led to us getting a more expensive room with private full bathroom at no extra charge plus an extra bed with a normal twin mattress brought in within 30 minutes of our arrival rather than a roll-away as you would normally find elsewhere. Great service.

We were on ground level so the wifi was variable. Not always a strong signal available.

The location is good, we can see the Duomo from our room window. Cross the street is the markets where you can shop for many good stuff from food to clothes. The lake is just 5 min walk away. The room is comfortable. The wall is a bit thin but it seems to be pretty common in Italy. We were lucky that our neighbors are quiet at bed time. As of the street noise, we didn't even notice that which is great given that our room is facing the main street :)

Owner had poor English so communication was difficult. Not well sign posted so difficult to locate initially.

Location is good, just across the rail tracks and you are at the Opera and Cathedral. There is a lift (tiny one, 3 people max) up to third floor. Wi-Fi was good and there is also a parking place for 5euro per day. Maurizio is very nice, friendly and he does his best to help you.

No reception, you have to call an Italian mobile phone. No credit card, only cash. We booked and paid for the studio (since a family with a young kid), but when we got there, we were told that the boiler was broken and the flat was flooded. We didn’t receive any email about this change. So they put as in a double bed room with the bathroom outside the bedroom in a shared flat (one entrance but two different bedrooms). Anyway, we didn’t’ have another option, so we accepted it (for the same price, they only offered the parking for free, 3 nights x 5euro= 15euro “compensation”). The first day till next morning, no heating and no hot water, so no shower, not able to clean the 2 years old kid either. Next day they fixed it, lasted for 2 days, and on Monday (check out day), it was broken again, so no shower once more. The room was small, no TV, they were kind enough to bring us a microwave to warm up the kid’s milk and a small fridge to keep the milk cool, but it didn’t work so we left everything on the balcony (temp around 4-7 degrees end of March). I think this is a budget place, where everything is dated, and not working properly. But heating and hot water is a MUST. Most likely we are not going back, as this wasn’t a place for us. By the way, also breakfast is very poor, just a coffee with a croissant.

Good location in the heart of the town. Good value for money, very clean. We had a bigger group and it was nice to have three connecting rooms with a common area just for us.

It would be good to have a table and chairs in the common area.

Hotel Gira Megaride is a simple, welle located budget hotel in Como, Italy. It provides what you need, a clean room, a clean bed, nice shower and quiet night. No parking fees around the hotel during the night from 8pm to 8 am

It's kind of hard to park around the hotel during rush hour.

Location is amazing.. The room is very clean and comfortable..

My stay at the Gira Megaride was perfect. The setting in Como was exquisite with a direct view to the Duomo. Rafaelle provided just what my daughter and I needed. We had separate and attached rooms. My stay in Como will always include the Gira Megaride.

The location could be the best you can find in Como, near the Duomo and a 5 minute walk to the lake. The host was really friendly helpful and you should try is restaurant with great food, wine at affordable price. Everything was perfect.The breakfast was really good too.

I found Rafi the owner to be most helpful and generous as we paid in full then left a day earlier. He obliged by refunding us our money and as he also own a restaraunt.. He gave us out of hrs excellent service...

It was nice to have a lovely view of the cathederal all alight from my bedroom window.. And a shower in my own room.. Very modern and clean!!! Very impressed!!

A bit difficult to find but when we did it was an excellent location, good clean large room, with small refrigerator, great beds and a pleasant host. I would give it a nine if the dislikes were rectified.

While understanding the need to keep costs down, the heating could have been better (about three hours out of 24), we had no hot water for our last night and morning and we were surprised that there was no TV.

Ottima posizione, a pochi metri dalla stazione di Como Lago, proprietario tranquillo e ospitale, camere pulite e bagno in comune pulito, connessione wifi ok, nessun problema con gli orari di rientro dato che ogni ospite del B&B ha a disposizione le proprie chiavi per rientrare, colazione a disposizione nel bar vicino (se compresa nel prezzo).

Strada antistante molto trafficata nelle ore diurne, campanello di chiusura e apertura del passaggio a livello fastidioso.

Nice bed and breakfast. The guy in charge was very smart and offer us a better room than the one we booked with no extra charge. It was called "heaven" room, in the top floor, really recommended, with views to Duomo. Breakfast includes Orange juice, croissant and cappucino. For 30€ all is just great!

When you arrive to the B&B you will find a paper in the door asking you to call to an italian phone number. You wait 5 minutes and the guy will be there. Breakfast was in a coffee bar 2 minutes walking. To give back the keys you have to go to a restaurant 5 minutes far, there is also where you will pay. You can leave your luggage in the coffee bar or in the restaurant but doesn´t give you a lot of confident.

Very nice comfortable room. Location is cool,2 Minutes from Duomo,5 minutes from Lake.

There was no balcony,no enough hot water. Only my husband managed to take a shower and I have to wait till next morning and it was also not enough hot water next morning. Breakfast was only coffee with croissant. Heating practically doesn't work, do during the winter time it's not good idea to stay at this hotel.

I and my daugther(3yrs old) stayed in the B&B Gira Megaride Hotel for two nigths and we did enjoy our stay thougth its not a luxury hotel but its we enjoyed.

well! its quite small the room and small bathroom.

The room was very stylish, and we had the common bathroom to ourselves because there wasn't another guest in the room.
