more information about how to go to girasole house - it is not difficult but you have to now it
Vittorio, the man in charge is excellent and very nice. He is willing to give advice about the location, how to get to the city, things to do, parking, etc. The location is just next to the train station so it makes it very convenient to go to the city, but it could take a while to wait wait for the train (20 min each way). The internet was working just fine.
The AC was not working at all and the room was really hot. It might take a while to go and come back from the city. There is no lift and it is located in the 2nd floor, so it can difficult if you are carrying big bags.
Queen size beds, nice bathrooms.
It was under construction when we were there, so no breakfast or kitchen. Owner speaks almost no English, which is fine, but Florence was already stressful enough as it was
Friendly staff, warm welcome. Very handy for train station. Lovely clean room.
Cleanliness of room
nobody offer us breakfest although on Booking.com is that the breakfest cost 5€; our coming was confused, because the staff had some problems with computer
Location outside of the city center, but with bus station and train station just 1-2 minutes walk from the hotel.
Nothing to do in the evening, as all stores and restaurants in the region are closed. The staff was helpful when was around, but at times there was no one at the desk, especially critical when one needs to check out!
The room was recently renovated and well laid out. The manager was helpful and shared many food and sight suggestions.
The building is not clearly marked and was difficult to locate. The hotel is up two stories, above a taxi company. There is no elevator.
- Cleanliness - right next to trainstation that brings you into the center of Florence just one stop later - car park cheap around the corner - we made a mistake in our booking, staff couldn't accommodate us because the hotel was full, but tried their best to help us out and even apologized.
- Door closed to get in sometimes, you get a key for it, but first time arrival can be confusing
