Hotel Giuggioli  

Kamers waren goed, niet echt ruim maar prima, dicht bij St Pieter, klein schalig

Lastig te vinden, aangezien er 5 hotels in het gebouw zitten, je moet de trap op nar de eerste verdieping, maar dat staat niet goed aangegeven.

we hadden gevraagd om 3 eenpersoonsbedden en die stonden er ook. verder elke dag schone handdoeken en het bed werd opgemaakt. prima hotel!

Prima overnachtingslocatie, zeker qua prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Keurig schoon en een héérlijke airco. Relatief rustige omgeving, weinig verkeer na ca. 23.30 uur. Wel een wat luidruchtig bezoek van de 'vuilophaaldienst' om ca. 01.30 uur (duurt echter maar ca. 0 min.). Het hotel is perfect centraal gelegen. Het dichtsbijzinde metrostation ligt op 5 min. loopafstand (Lepanto). Vaticaanstad en het Vaticaanmuseum is nog geen 10 min. lopen. Rondom het hotel zijn div. leuke winkels en zelfs een grote winkelstraat waar we door de hotelmedewerker op zijn gewezen. Wij waren zeer tevreden en willen dit hotel zeker bij iedereen aanbevelen.

Het ontbijt is simpel maar voor ons zeker voldoende; 1 croisant, 1 broodje, 2 crackers, 1 botertje en 1 soort jam. Daarnaast ook (onbeperkt ?) cornflakes, vruchtendrank en koffie, thee of cappuccino welke overigens Italiaans héérlijk was !!

Good location, fair breakfast, and comfortable rooms.

Staff: didn't reply to our e-mail regarding the airport shuttle, didn't know how the safe worked, didn't know anything about the concerts on Labour Day, and reception closes at 11pm.

Shower holder in the bathroom was broken, no hot water in the monring, unreasonable rules -no eating in rooms or you will be fined and must leave the room before 11am for cleaning, late check out not allowed, breakfast is traditional Italian breakfast so don't expect too much

Comfortable, nice area, not overly touristy, good location close to the Vatican and Metro stops.

WiFi worked for 1 of 6 nights, the 4 staff we asked about it had little or no concern, shower worked occasionally.

Small room with no room to walk around and paper thin walls, could hear all noises from adjoining room. Could hear people using their toilets and arguing.

Nice staff, friendly and ready to assist where they can. Excellent coffees at breakfast. 10 to 15 min walk to Vatican. Metro nearby.

Our room was on the 1st floor. Quite noisy since there was a terrace of a restaurant below on street level. Also waste collection ans streetcleaning is done in the middle of the night, lots of noise.

Friendly staff. Off the main road but close to shops and a short walk to the vatican.

The staff are really nice. Helpful and responsive with an Italian charm. It's more like B&B. Just 8 or 9 rooms. No crowd, privacy.

It's really very noisy in the mornings when the breakfast is prepared. Tiny bathroom.

The staff was friendly and the included breakfast was nice. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean.

The hotel was a little difficult to find, as it was not on the ground floor of the building and was not clearly marked which floor it was on.

WI-FI Internet available but with very very poor signal, bathroom not suitable for normal use (no curtain in the shower, towels shelf is very low and over the bath, so i was bumping with the head into the shelf time to time) , poor continental breakfast

Comfort and cleanliness

The staff should be more friendly and accommodating. A set of breakfast comprise a croissant and a piece of bread. I asked for 2 pieces of bread in exchanged for the croissant as I do not like croissant but the female staff manning the breakfast counter pretended not to understand my request. Its not like we are staying there for free - we booked the Executive Room actually.

The location was perfect for our needs. The staff was very helpful in finding restaurants, calling taxis, and pointing out shopping areas for specific items. The hotel is on a tree-shaded street and had a small balcony on which to enjoy an evening breeze and glass of wine. The street became quiet in late evening which allowed for a good nights sleep. Although some of the staff spoke little English, they endeavored, successfully, to help us, who spoke little Italian. We will definitely stay here again.

Close to Vatican and Metro stop. Rooms and facilities clean. Some staff spoke some english. Air conditioning in room.

No choice for breakfast and breakfast identical every morning. Not able to eat or drink in rooms and eating area not available as advertised in evenings, as tables were already laid for next days breakfast. Room next to breakfast area very noisy early mornings.

The hotel is centrally located, close to shopping centres,the staff are friendly and facilities are excellent.
