Very friendly staff that really made us feel at home, and went above and beyond. Rooms were lovely considering what we paid, and it's a 2 minutes' walk from the Termini (main) station. Great for doing a walking tour up to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc. :)

Location= is near bus, metro, a lot of restaurant in the area, Teatro della Opera, Basilica Santa Maria, Maggiore,Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, and many more interesting place to see, around the area. Breakfast-I miss my Cappucino staff=are friendly and professional clean=my room was always clean room

Good value for the price, good location, family style, friendly and helpful staff, very clean, nice and cozy.

The hotel is close enough to the most known sites of Rome, I.E. Colosseum, Palatine Hill, St Maria Maggiore church, Trevi fountain, etc. It has perfect location just in 2 turns and 10 min walk from Termini railway station with direct connection to the airport, as well as metro and buses. The road is easy to walk even with luggage. Some people complained about noise of flea market under the windows, but I didn't hear any, although my room was facing that side of the street (maybe it would be noticeable in summer, when the windows remain open, but I stayed in mid-March and it was ok). The room had enough space for a solo traveler (furnished with double bed, desk with a chair, wardrobe, heater, tv and minibar), card lock, basic bathroom amenities. The furniture is a bit worn out, but everything is clean and serves for its purpose. But the best and the most important characteristic I can mention about the hotel is its staff. They are extremely helpful and nice, speak good English and provide great service. I needed some assistance with official booking confirmation for paperwork before arrival, and they provided it in no time together with very detailed instructions on getting to the hotel and other useful information. Normally, it takes time and (very often) full prepayment of your stay for hotels in Rome to bother with your paperwork issues... It was a pleasure to deal with Hotel Guiliana on this matter!

The only downside I can mention is that my room (dunno about others) had a very small bathroom. I didn't ask to change the room whatsoever, cause how much time you spend in bathroom on a city-break, really? It had clean towels and basic amenities (shampoo, soap and shower gel, as far as I remember) and I accepted the tightness. You can also feel a bit of moisture odor, but it's about the same in all old buildings. It can be eliminated with air freshener. Breakfast is very basic, but everything is fresh and fine to start the day.

Very friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. Room was nice, a little tired but more than acceptable. Breakfast simple continental but with excellent coffee. Good value to drink from the hotel wine list after walking around Rome!

The staff was fantastic. Really enjoyed the location - we walked to everything! Great restaurants close by.

Our room was TINY!!!! With three adults and our luggage, we were constantly tripping over each other and our luggage, and stubbing our toes on the desk and chair, and hitting the corner of the very sharp bed frame. Also, our room was on the main street, and it was very noisy.

Lots to really like about this hotel. The staff are wonderful - very friendly, helpful - just really good people. Hotel is centrally located - 10 minutes from the Termini, 15 from the Colosseum, 20 from Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, and 5 minutes from the metro station and major bus stops. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good: Crossants, fruit, cereal, and of course, coffee. Overall an excellent way to base yourself in Rome.

There was an open market that set up in the alley outside our window every morning. On the one hand, it was very cool having the market so close. On the other, they start setting up around 5:30am. It was only a minor inconvenience, but it was something we didn't know about when we booked.

The location was perfect, giving a comfort of access to the best parts of Rome. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly making me as welcome as I have ever been in any hotel. The room was a good size and the beds very comfortable.

Not really a dislike but the weekday market outside could have annoyed if I was a light sleeper and wanted a lie in, so perhaps a bit more sound proofing could have helped. As it was I wanted to get up early to see the city so it really didn't affect me.

The staff at Hotel Giuliana were extremely welcoming and friendly, offering advice such as where to eat and how to get to the main sites from the hotel. The location was excellent - everything was very walkable and the hotel was within easy reach of the station, good places to eat and most importantly, the major tourist attractions.

Noise from outside could be heard, but with it being in such a central location we expected this and is a trade off we were happy to make for the location.

We received a warm welcome from Jean. She was very friendly and warm. Gave us a brief but informative description of the places to visit in Rome, recommended us to an affordable eating place for our dinner. The breakfast was simple but adequate for us. The location is excellent. It takes about 5-6 minutes walk (with luggages) to the Termini Station. Takes about 12-15 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain. Distance to the nearest metro station (Republica) is about 3-4 minutes walk. There is a supermarket along Via Nazionale about 5 minutes walk from Hotel Giuliana to get bottled water at very affordable prices.

Great location near train station and attractive 20 minute walk to Colliseum. Friendly staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful with my sightseeing plans. Excellent caffe lattes and croissants plus yogurt, cereal and fruit for breakfast - very nice. Nice big clean tiled bathroom.

We slept with windows open and a market sets up very early on street right below - just need to be aware and either use air conditioner or close window when noise starts - was actually sort of fun and lively. Room is very basic - inexpensive furniture and doilies but bed was comfy, bathroom great and price was right. Met our needs well.

Good location, rooms are standard. the reason we recommend this hotel is because it's in a great location and the hotel staff were very friendly and helping . we were traveling with a 6 months baby they allowed us to use their kitchen and helped us in any way we asked. for us it was a very pleasant stay.

Convenient location right by the train station but easy access to everything else. Very friendly, helpful and courteous staff. A totally relaxing, enjoyable and comfortable place to stay. I always stay at Hotel Giuliana when I am in Rome. My favorite boutique hotel!!

Internet signal was weak at times...causing difficulty browsing the internet

Perfectly comfortable -- not huge -- but clean, quiet, and comfortable. Highlight is the wonderful wonderful owners who truly want to make your stay pleasant and they did. We would gladly go back in a heartbeat.

This is not a top end hotel with enormous rooms but that was never at issue and never our desire! Excellent place to stay and would do so again.

The staff is very friendly. The hostess even give us a more quiet and bigger room for three night at no additional cost. The hotel located in small street, bit noisy, but in walk distance from St. Maria Maggore and Termini. Also around the corner there are a local street market.

If you have a street-view room then you may hear noise from cars and so on.

Easy access to the main sites in Rome on foot, by bus or metro, within walking distance of Termini train station. Staff pleasant & helpful.

Very small bathroom with extremely low water pressure, noisy street market setup in the early morning, no english language channels, bad smell in entry to building, average breakfast.
