The Twentyone is a modern boutique hotel on Via Cola di Rienzo, one of Rome's best shopping streets. Castel Sant'Angelo and the historic center are just a pleasant 10-minute walk away.
Score from 1532 reviews Very good
Just a 5-minute walk from the Colosseum and 325 ft from Cavour Metro, Grand Hotel Palatino is in Rome's Monti District. It has a bar and 2 restaurants. Wi-Fi is free throughout.

to escape after one night
everything. this is not a 4 star hotel, and should not be published as such. froze to death as no heating was working in winter!
The hotel is in a very good position, just a walk to Piazza del Popolo and around 1 km far from St. Peter and the Vatican. Very close to the A subway line. The staff is really kind and the hotel offers a good bar service and fantastic breakfast.
The room (was an "economic" room) had a terrible old fashioned bathroom and forniture, with a very small closet. Not enought for a 4 stars hotel!!! The price/quality rate for this kind of room is inadequate (if you do not find a specific offer with a discounted price). The hotel has only 6 parking slots, so call the reception before reaching the hotel for availability.
The carpet on the floor. Very delicious breakfast. Also: The balcony. The big safe. Polite personnel.
When u have a shower bath, the water can fall to the floor through the edges of the bathroom. Thus u may have a wet floor.
Hotel owner Comendattori Vincenzo Pandolfi and wife are visiting every morning every breakfast table personally, lovely and caring couple. The hotel is fascinating, if you love old and good taken care of places this is the right spot. I strongly recommend this place.
Quiet neighborhood but a little far away from the old town.
Even if Rome has become more and more expensive this 3 star hotel is too expensive (it claims 4 star but room seize, plastic 'glasses', breakfasts etc. is nothing more than 3).
*Clean, no smell *nice room *quite fancy *good breakfast included *free parking available (but not guaranteed) *nice area
Having had a bad experience elsewhere, this hotel saved our holiday. We got a last-minute deal of £117 per night for 4 nights for a Superior Double and including breakfast and tourist tax. The lounge, bar and garden are all lovely. Even on the road and on 4th floor we slept well and the breakfasts are memorably good - do not expect this in every establishment like this. Transport links are good (Metro, Buses 30 and 70) and good eating in Spaccio Pasta on Via Cola di Rienzo (3 minutes). The airport transfer offer is excellent.
A pity not to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. Daily change of towels and bedlinen is super-luxurious but not very green - perhaps guests could be given the choice.
Breakfast was ok. Staff was good.
Wifi connection is terrible. Our room was at the additional building and it was smelling terrible.
The bathroom.free parking.metro within walking distance.room isbig enough for 3 adult and 1 baby
Coridor too narrow. The double bed is not really a double bed, it is 2 single bed put together.
better than average shower and blow dryer for an older facility.
Beds could be more comfortable. (Are quite old)
Breakfasts were nice, decor in the public areas & in the room was nice, breakfast room staff (apart from the head waiter) & cleaning staff were really nice.
The rude, arrogant head waiter in the breakfast room ! I pleasantly & politely asked for hot water one morning for tea since the usual urn for hot water was empty. He proceeded to point repeatedly & mockingly at another hot water container on another counter & the sign that was attached, saying slowly in a rude, loud & sarcastic voice in front of other guests "hoooot waaaater", as if I should know the breakfast room as well as him! Quite frankly, I have never been treated in such a rude way & wonder that the hotel management allows their staff to have such a bad customer service attitude. Overall, the "lower level" staff were much more pleasant than "higher level" staff who were rather cold!
A disappointing surprise was to find a bed bug one evening sitting inside the bed. They changed our room, but I just couldnt get rid of feeling that there could be more sitting somewhere inside my bed.
The hotel was located close to train station making it very easy to get around.
Location Breakfast Good service
Internet signal did not reach oir room Bad quality of shampoo/shower gel No hair conditioner Stingy with toilette paper
The location was good for us and the accommodations were lovely. The management was very friendly and the breakfast delicious! I would stay there again!
Excellent breakfast. Good location
Had to re-enter login and password every time I switched back to internet. Most hotels only require one time login
Nothing at all.
The location the buildings history, the staff, particularly the breakfast staff. The owners were so kind and lovely. Most of the reception staff very helpful.
My only complaint is the bad wifi connection, I'm sure that cld b resolved.
Good WiFi. Good cleaning. Friendly staff.
Tiny room. Smelly carpet.
Staff. The receptionist named JP (GP).. he is very nice and the bar tender name Emmanuel.
Small room and no hot shower sometimes. Breakfast was not really that impressive.
The hotel is a very unique place. The room was very spacoius, breakfast room very clean with a large buffet style breakfast. In the evening a garden with bar facilities very welcome following a strenous day.
location, 4 stars
old style, need more updated Facilities
Great garden and rooftop view of St. Peter's Basillica. Roberto (front desk) and Tony (bartender) were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had stay at the hotel and in Rome!
A little out of the way but at least it was safe and within walking distance of Vatican.
