One of the highlights of the luxurious Atlante Star Hotel has to be its rooftop restaurant where you can enjoy spectacular views of St. Peter’s Basilica while you eat.
Score from 333 reviews Good
better than average shower and blow dryer for an older facility.
Beds could be more comfortable. (Are quite old)
Breakfasts were nice, decor in the public areas & in the room was nice, breakfast room staff (apart from the head waiter) & cleaning staff were really nice.
The rude, arrogant head waiter in the breakfast room ! I pleasantly & politely asked for hot water one morning for tea since the usual urn for hot water was empty. He proceeded to point repeatedly & mockingly at another hot water container on another counter & the sign that was attached, saying slowly in a rude, loud & sarcastic voice in front of other guests "hoooot waaaater", as if I should know the breakfast room as well as him! Quite frankly, I have never been treated in such a rude way & wonder that the hotel management allows their staff to have such a bad customer service attitude. Overall, the "lower level" staff were much more pleasant than "higher level" staff who were rather cold!
A disappointing surprise was to find a bed bug one evening sitting inside the bed. They changed our room, but I just couldnt get rid of feeling that there could be more sitting somewhere inside my bed.
The hotel was located close to train station making it very easy to get around.
Location Breakfast Good service
Internet signal did not reach oir room Bad quality of shampoo/shower gel No hair conditioner Stingy with toilette paper
The location was good for us and the accommodations were lovely. The management was very friendly and the breakfast delicious! I would stay there again!
Excellent breakfast. Good location
Had to re-enter login and password every time I switched back to internet. Most hotels only require one time login
Nothing at all.
The location the buildings history, the staff, particularly the breakfast staff. The owners were so kind and lovely. Most of the reception staff very helpful.
My only complaint is the bad wifi connection, I'm sure that cld b resolved.
Good WiFi. Good cleaning. Friendly staff.
Tiny room. Smelly carpet.
Staff. The receptionist named JP (GP).. he is very nice and the bar tender name Emmanuel.
Small room and no hot shower sometimes. Breakfast was not really that impressive.
The hotel is a very unique place. The room was very spacoius, breakfast room very clean with a large buffet style breakfast. In the evening a garden with bar facilities very welcome following a strenous day.
location, 4 stars
old style, need more updated Facilities
Great garden and rooftop view of St. Peter's Basillica. Roberto (front desk) and Tony (bartender) were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had stay at the hotel and in Rome!
A little out of the way but at least it was safe and within walking distance of Vatican.
Very clean, spacious room, wonderful staff, good breakfast, . Superb location for seeing Rome. We have already recommended this hotel to our friends and it is the only place we would stay if we are to return to Rome
All is great

Parking free and guarded, Rome City in walking distance (piazza del Popolo, Vatican), quiet, good breakfast
W-lan slow (below 3 Mbps), no restaurant in Hotel, carpet in the room (allergy)
Location, service, cleanliness, breakfast.
Wifi was horrible.
Beautiful hotel and backyard garden in nice location. Staff was very friendly and helpful with hotel needs and information on local restaurants and selected tours. Breakfast at hotel was delicious with great selection of food.
-close to Vatican City and other tourist attractions, -close to Cola di Rienzo street with lots of shops and restaurants, -helpfull staff, -nice patio
-the breakfast was not so good, -no restaurant during the day, -bar open from 5pm, -old hotel and rooms (need renovation) -annoying guy from the bar
Beautiful garden. Superb breakfast especially on Sunday! Rooms are small but comfortable. Hotel décor is very traditional. we enjoyed dining at the true Italian restaurants in the area - great experience.
This is an older hotel so the rooms have been renovated to add bathrooms - they are small and dated. hotel is located in a quiet residential area - a bit of a walk to sights.
Good location - away from crowded centre, though on walking distance (10 to 15 min.) from Vatican or Piazza del Popolo, and less than 5 min. to Metropolitana/subway station. Very good breakfast - italian & international as well. Comfortable and extremely clean room. Helpful and courteous staff. Our room (top floor of the main building) had good reception of a good WiFi signal. Overall, good value for your money.
Very quiet Nice breakfast
