Helpful staff, clean, pictures/description on website a good representation of quality of room etc. Location is well away from centre of town, and although shuttle bus is available, it is relatively infrequent (every 2 hrs) - more options post breakfast, late afternoon & evening would be good.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has great views and a lovely pool area to relax around. We did travel before the start of the peak season and the shuttle bus to/from town was not often available andf it is a fair walk down/up a steep hill into town although this did not stop us walking to and from town.

Beautiful Facility, Exceptional Breakfast. Perfect in every way - except sleep quality. Bed was very hard with flat pillows, Walls were paper thin - we heard our neighbor snoring for two nights, State of the art Fan, Heat, ac system is turned off - my guess is to save money to off set the discounted off season rates. The room was so hot, we called at least 15 times in 2 days and every time they told us wait 10 minutes. Absolutely miserable to sleep and impossible to leave the windows open at night without screens.

Friendly staff, good bus service into town and a very good breakfast. Location is a bit out of town which isn't ideal but this is the case for most hotels in Cefalu. Bus service makes up for this.

The hotel was very attractive with pleasant grounds and garden. The staff were helpful. The restaurant was very good, excellent evening meal and breakfast. The room was large, attractive and comfortable with a good view of the town and the sea. It was quiet at night. The shuttle bus to town was useful. Not a very pretty walk into town, and the shuttle bus didn't run very often.

Hotel is very comfortable and is better than it looks on the website. Quiet location yet close to center of Cefalu to make walking fairly easy. Nice pool. Walking back to hotel from beach or town is steep and the shuttle doesnt run very often and is inconvenient.

Very friendly and professional staff. The restuarant food was excellent. One of our finer meals throughtout our one month trip in Italy. Although our room was great and we were upgraded to a sea view, the beds were way too hard. Did not sleep well during our scheduled one night stay. .

The location of the hotel although a little way out of the town and beach was very tranquil and peaceful. A very efficient shuttle service was provided to the beach and town, walking is possible but the climb back uphill may deter some. The views are lovely looking out across the sea both from many of the rooms and the terrace where meals/drinks are served. The staff were absolutely wonderful in all areas of the hotel, some of the best I have encountered. The hotel itself is charming with a family run intimate feel. Cefalu is a beautiful place to stay, the beach and town are stunning with lots of good restaurants and shops. It is a lot cheaper than Taormina although further from Etna, etc. The breakfast was fine with a varied choice of food but lunch/dinner was not as good. We ate out the majority of the time in some excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in Cefalu.

The hotel had a lovely and attractive entrance with plenty of places to sit and relax. Its setting was pleasant, surrounded by trees and quiet and peaceful. The hotel had a lovely pool area, surrounded by mature trees and with a view of the sea. Breakfasts were typical buffet style; tasty and fresh. Our main gripe was the bed; it was extremely hard and not very comfortable. Our first room was on the 2nd floor and right above the car park. We asked to move and were relocated on the floor above. The view from here was much better (although still above the driveway) and you could actually see the sea! The location is a little out the way; a 20 minute walk back from the town. But the mini bus was reliable and it was quite nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach strip.

Very relaxing, comfortable place to stay. We were welcomed with a nice glass of bubbly upon arrival (and announcing our honeymoon). The hotel staff were welcoming and very attentive to everyone's needs. Also the food was excellent! We had a slight miss-communication with one of our package activities that we inquired about, but this didn't affect us too negatively in any way.

The hotel is in a quiet location about one mile from the beach, to which the hotel provides a shuttle service about once an hour. The rooms are spacious, but fairly bare and ordinary. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever experienced, with delicious local products and fruit. Dinner is also very good and is served outside on a quiet terrace. The restaurant staff are all courteous, friendly and efficient. I was sorry that I had not booked half board! The rooms were cleaned at widely varying times of days. On Sunday morning the chambermaid wanted to come in before 9 a.m., some other days the room was not cleaned until 5 p.m. or later. This sometimes caused inconvenience.

This Hotel was fantastic for my trip (couple in mid-twenties). The hotel has many facilities. The shuttle service was very handy in the evenings (an extra shuttle at 8pm would be good though). The pool is lovely, the stretch of private beach was brilliant (shuttle service brings you here also), and the private beach was much more spacious than those of other hotels. The hotel is a 15 mins walk to the centre of Cefalu, but with all the delicious food you will be eating the walks are welcome! Staff are friendly and well informed! The hotel bar makes a lovely Mojito which can be enjoyed on the balcony! Also the breakfast is delicious! All in all, a great hotel and we would definetly go back!

Good service by friendly staff, actually hotel Paradiso was the most friendly hotel that we stayed at in Sicily (out of 5 hotels). The girls at the reception are friendly and very professional and all staff we met did their best give us a good service, which is very rare in Sicily. It sees as if the hotel has a good management who understand what is means to give good service , truly a rare phonomena in Sicily. The pool is very nice surrounded by high trees. Breakfast is nice too, with fresh orange juice as an extra bonus. The beds are too short and too hard

Lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle bus to the private beach and town centre was great as it was quite a steep climb up to the hotel. Lovely grounds and swimming pool amid shady trees. Quality of coffee at breakfast could be improved. Otherwise breakfast buffet was delicious.

“The Hotel La Plumeria was delightful in every way. It's location, staff, service, rooms, breakfast and decor were excellent. Our room had two bathrooms (which was a big hit with me) and views into courtyards and over rooftops from two balconies. Somehow it was quiet while being right in the middle of the liveliest (and loveliest) part of Cefalu. I recommend a hike up and around La Rocca's ramparts, a swim in the pristine water at the beach and lunch at La Botte in the Via Veterani - all of which can very easily be accomplished on foot from the hotel. In the evening, taste Sicilian wines at the groovy little enoteca just around the corner on the Via Carlo Ortolani di Bordonaro before heading out for dinner. Enjoy - we certainly did!” Suzanne, Queenscliff |
