The atmosphere, the shuttle service to the city center and the beach, the friendliness of the staff, the green garden and the breakfast.

Not really; it would have been nice though if we could operate the airconditioning ourselves instead of a central one (which was ok by the way).

I have stayed at much better hotels for the same money. This hotel leverages on being chosen the charm&relax hotel of Italy, but there was not much charm other than two palm trees and a pool. However, other things that people usually complain about are not really major problems. The hotel is definitely up a hill, but there is a shuttle to take people down, and it is working perfectly well.

The shuttle works even on demand if you request from the reception in a timely fashion. There is a very decent private beach. The only problem in my opinion is price for value is quite low considering the general attitude.

Pros: Beautiful **** hotel, rooms and public areas have very pleasing decor. Even though we were there in the off season, grounds looked really beautiful. Staff were helpful and polite and the restaurant was wonderful with terrific food and service. Breakfast was expansive (fresh squeezed juice via juicer),

It's just outside of the main "old" and "new" part of Cefalu. Drive up the extremely narrow and dangerous (even for Sicily) street scraped up our rental car. :[ Hard water stains in the shower could be cleaned. Our "sea view" room was a stretch as all I saw was sky and some trees. Some nicer tennis equipment for rental fee would be great.

The breakfast was very good, bed very comfortable, reception extremely helpful, internet connection excellent

Guests arriving by car should be advised of the steep incline and the blind bends on an extremely narrow approach road together with an alarmingly dangerous junction where the lane meets the main road. I did find an alternative approach route of which guests should be advised. Also, the swimming pool was in a very neglected condition.

The staff were great: from check-in to check-out, all the staff - management, reception, restaurant, housekeeping - were always pleasant, helpful and easy-going. I also found the gym facility was well equipped and always available.

A few more sunbeds around or near the pool would be good for busier days.
