B&B Globetrotter Catania  

Excellent B&B! Very nice room, good breakfast and great location in the centre of Catania. The host was very helpful with practical information about the city.

Navigation system could not find the street (not accessible by car). Driving directions should mention street "Via Auteri". Difficult to find parking space (but host waited outside for us upon arrival).

The location was just excellent, also I was asked to choose if I wanted a double bed room or a flat and it just for £30 per night. Staff was so friendly and breakfast superb with fresh good quality bread, butter, biscuits, marmalade, and cured meat!

Suggest you add more crockery & cutlery to both the eating table & rooms.

What I liked best about this B&B was the location. It is just down the street in front of the Piazza Duomo and the fish market with shopping close by. In a word---right in the middle of everything. Sophia was the hostess the day we checked in and was a real sweetie. She knew that we we're leaving very early the next morning before the complimentary breakfast was served. She was thoughtful enough to bring us food to eat before she left for the day so we could have something to eat before we left. Mille grazie, Sophia.

The only thing I would warn those thinking to stay at Globtrotter is that it's very difficult to find the tiny "street" it's on. I would call it an alleyway. But if you can find the Piazza Duomo with it's black elephant, then know that you're very, very close.

I would like to recomand this hotel for its best location and comfort. The staff (Sylvia and Sophia) was very helpful, friendly and give you all the information you need. We had an excellent stay over there.

L'estrema cortesia dello staff, l'abbondante prima colazione ed il buon rapporto qualità-prezzo

L'hotel è difficile da trovare, bisogna essere esperti della città per trovarlo:le indicazioni fornite sono fuorvianti,il Duomo è a 600 metri, non a 100 e questo crea solo confusione:si arriva prima da via Garibaldi scndendo poi a sinistra per 200 metri dopo aver incontrato la prima piazza di un certo rilievo.

Situato nel cuore del caratteristico centro di Catania, questo b&b si distingue per la fantastica ospitalità e gentilezza dello staff. E' pulito e confortevole, con camere spaziose: il rapporto qualità-prezzo è semplicemente imbattibile!

Se proprio devo trovare un aspetto negativo...la scala stretta che conduce alla camere rende un po' difficile il passaggio con grandi e pesanti valigie

Les 2 jeunes femmes auxquelles nous avons eu à faire étaient très aimables et soucieuses de répondre à nos attentes. De plus, elles parlaient bien le français.

La cage d'escalier, très étroite (difficile de monter avec une valise et de petits problèmes de fuite d'eau lorsque nous prenions une douche.

L'ottima accoglienza, insieme alla posizione centralissima della struttura, rappresenta certamente il punto forte del Globetrotter.

Occorre certamente migliorare la funzionalità del bagno, specie per ciò che riguarda la tendina che dovrebbe evitare lo spargimento di acqua sul pavimento durante l'utilizzo della doccia e c'è qualcosa da rivedere nell'impianto di climatizzazione, eccessivamente rumoroso.

Mi e' piaciuta l'accoglienza sul sito e I la professionalita' espressa nei contatti telefonici prima dell'arrivo.

Il lettore dvd in camera e' funzionante , la ricezione del segnale tv e' disturbata .

Da ich das erste Mal alleine verreist bin war ich positiv davon ueberrascht, dass eine Mitarbeiterin mich einen Tag vor meiner Anreise anrief, um mir die Buchung zu bestaetigen und mir einen guten Flug zu wuenschen. Auch bei meiner Ankunft habe ich mich sehr gut aufgehoben gefuehlt. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr nett, das Fruestueck im Gemeinschaftsraum bot Gelegenheit zu einem gegenseitigen Austausch. Die Wohnungen verteilten sich auf umliegende Wohnhaeuser, was mir weniger das Gefuehl einer Reisenden, sondern vielmehr das Gefuehl einer Bewohnerin der Stadt gab. Die Wohnungen sind extrem geraeumig, mit Kueche, Esszimmer, Fernseher, Stereoanlage und grossem Bad ausgestattet, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Insgesamt stimmte das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis und ich kann das B&B nur weiterempfeheln.
