This hotel is in a ideal location to see the city. Clean, well managed, staff was very good. I would reccomend booking a "superior" room--a few bucks more than a standard but worth it from a comfort standpoint. Globus is a solid 3 star and we would return in the future.

Loved the location. The staff was great. The happy hour was wonderful. They did more than we expected. The room was small but it was clean and air conditioned. We loved it. I will stay at this hotel when I return to Florence.

Great location for seeing the sights, visiting markets and dining out. Helpful staff who gave good recommendations for places to eat. Hard beds. Terrible smell in room. Air conditioning in room didn't work. Very hot in room while cold outside.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but very clean and modern, especially the bathroom. The hotel was located within a 5-10 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, which was a big help in that I did not have a rental car and the bus does not go directly by. I would most definitely stay here again. Very small elevator that only worked when the button was pressed.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station, but is located in a charming part of the city. Well within walking distance to the major attractions. Nothing special about the room, but they served a nice breakfast and the staff is very helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the Hotel Globus had much to offer. Having tracked down the hotel on Google earth, and were a little apprehensive about the location but we were amazed to find we, and our companion couple, had rooms with a view of the lovely domes of the Capella Medicee. More than anything was the friendliness and eager to please staff. Breakfast was lovely - good coffee, and a friendly welcome every morning. Stairs could be difficult for the elderly, but there is a lift.

The hotel was excellent!!!! Nice and comfortable rooms, very clean (sheets, towels, floor, bathroom...), the location also was excellent, one minute walk from the market and five minutes from the shops and plaza duomo. Many restaurants near hotel. The staff was the best we had ever met, very helpful and cheerful. I recomend this hotel. If I go again to florence I will stay here for sure!!!!! Poor breakfast

Staffs are very nice. Location is very good. We booked a twin beds room. But I would like to suggest to change this room to double bed room because the room is too small for two single beds.

Very close to the city centre and S.Lucia railway station. You can reach the hotel on foot. Extremely close to the open market, noise was not a problem at all. You can visit surroundings on the spot. Very clean rooms.Good breakfast. Friendly, polite, willing staff. The room where breakfast is served should be bigger.

It is close to the main trains station and within walking distance (5-10 minutes) of most of the major tourist attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, comfy and have cable tv :) There is no elevator that goes to the ground floor, it starts at the 1st floor. The man at the front desk however was very helpful and carried my suitcase up and down the stairs without me even asking

THhs is a great little hotel in the heart of Florence which I chose for its proximity to the train station (Santa Maria Novella) and Central Food Market. I was meeting up with friends for a villa stay so this was ideal for me to pick up food supples then be able to meet them at the station the next day. There are stairs to this hotel lobby however the staff is more than willing to help with luggage. My single room was small but fully furnished with desk, storage, fast internet access and modern bathroom. The lobby and breakfast room were small but efficient.

The location is very good - walking distance to the old city and restaurants, which is lucky as most roads in the inner city are inaccessible by car (and to be honest, driving in Florence is a nightmare!!). The rooms are spacious enough and the room we booked had a computer which was free to use (unfortunately ours went flat and the charger provided did not fit the computer, but we had our iphone which we then used with the free wifi). Breakfast is adequate - only cold foods, but all delicious. Floor in room (floating floorboards) was dirty so we had to put slippers on, and rooms are not very soundproofed. There is only a lift from reception, so you need to carry suitcases up 2 flights of stairs to get there - once in the lift, there's really only room for 1 person and 2 suitcases (this, we discovered, though, is quite common in hotels in big inner cities in Europe).

Tout le personnel, sans exception, est charmant, agréable et souriant. L'hôtel est très propre et particulièrement bien situé, au milieu du centre touristique de Florence. Et malgré cette situation très centrale, sa position dans une petite rue lui confère un calme absolu.

“Rooms, specially the ones on the third floor which are newly refurbished, very modern and comofortable are highly recommended. The price was good and the service was great. Specially friendly was the attention of Guido at the front desk. He recommended us places to go, restaurants to visit in the area, etc. Buffet breakfast was included, it was ok but I have no complaints considering that you are paying a very good price for the accommodation!” Valeria, Cambridge |
