Hotel Globus  

Hotel Globus had amazing value!!!! We only stayed there for one night, but it was very reasonably priced and extremely well-run. We arrived very late at night, and the man working the front desk was so nice and helpful. He helped us make our way to our room, informed us about check out and breakfast. We had a room on the 3rd floor and had very minimal problems with sound/noise. Italy streets can be very noisy at night, but our room was pretty much sound proof. The room itself was very clean, efficient and comfortable. Great hot water. We slept awesome. In the morning we went down for the hotel's included breakfast and it was very well done. The man working the breakfast station was very cheerful, friendly, and helpful. He made our coffees while we put together our plates from an awesome buffet spread. The whole thing exceeded our expectations. When we were ready to check out, the man working the front desk was very nice and professional. He called us a cab and provided us with great navigation information. The value for this hotel is an A+.

The elevator got stuck when we were going up in it, and it was extremely small. But there was a stair well that we used after that. Pretty much no problems.

The hotel was friendly and well located. I enjoyed my stay.

Location is very convenient. Coffee / cappuccino / tea is prepared by member of staff(not the usual automatic machine).

Room small but still ok. No lift from ground floor to 1st floor.

Excellent location. Close to all attractions and shopping at the market. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.

The staff were all excellent. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station and near to most of the attractions in Florence.

The extra services like towel change, breakfast and happy hour.

They provide good service and smile. It is not easy to find the smile in this city.

It will be better if their breakfaster can add more items such as vegetable or bread.

We had high expectations on Globus following the reviews on Booking and tripadvisor. We were not disappointed after our 3 nights: our request to have 4 single beds was respected. Nicola and his colleagues were very helpful: booking a table in a restaurant, recommending restaurants, sightseeing, activities, road trips especially for chianti and sienna. The staff was also very welcoming and always smiling! The room was big, clean, equipped with a nice view on San Lorenzo church. The breakfast very good and the staff very nice! In addition, the free coffee/tea during the day and the happy hour in the evening (appetizers/ drinks) are an excellent service! The hotel is in the center: 2 minutes from the duomo and in 10 minutes walking time from all attractions! The price/quality ratio is excellent!! Tanks for all the stuff for our excellent stay!

The only thing that could be enhanced are the doors: when closing the room door, it makes a big 'clac' noise that is annoying in the morning especially when people are going to breakfast or checking out.. Maybe adding a small tip on the door to avoid this will be a good idea!

The staff was extremely helpful with vacation travel, letting us leave our bags there for a day after we checked out and took a side trip out of Florence. Breakfast was minimum, but what was there was good. This is a slightly below average 3 star hotel and the only reason we stayed was there were no 4 star hotels available that night. Location is great

The bed was lumpy and sheets not soft. Bathroom had curtain, not glass shower door. You have to take this review with the understanding I usually stay in 4 star hotels but there were none available that night in Florence. You have to go upstairs to get to lobby, but I have since found out there are a couple 4 star hotels in Florence that way as well

Very friendly stuff, great location

The staff at the Hotel were very helpful and friendly. The room was good but the reception was adequate. Breakfast facilities are very small but the person serving was very good.

(-) a lot of noises: ->from the central air conditioner-very extremely noisy, especially at night. We could not sleep 1st night at all -> from the corridor. It was covered with tiles and the people checking in ant out drag their suicases -> from mechanism of closing doors. Extremely noisy -> from guests in the corridor -> from knocking staff to wake somebody at 4-5 am on the door, instead of using the phone. -> even in the breakfast the guy there was making noise with washing dishes and forks and knives and noisily putting them after drying the up

The staff were amazing, very attentive and going out of their way to make their guests happy. The hotel was clean & comfortable & there was a good range of items in the breakfast room. The hotel is close to the station and easy to find. It is a 5 min walk from Duomo and 15 to Uffizi. We spent time in several Italian cities and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in.

Florence has a very old water system and so the room carried a faint smell.

The staff at Hotel Globus were wonderful! They were very friendly and helpful. On our return trip the room we were to stay in had a water leak and was unavailable so they made all the arrangements for us to stay at another hotel. Nic was especially helpful and friendly. The whole staff made our stay in Florence very special!

The location is good, walking distance to Florence S.M.n station. The staffs at reception were very nice and friendly, we had pretty fast check- in and check-out. They helped us with the luggage too. Breakfast was fair, not too many choices. We stay in a superior double room for two nights, it was very spacious, allow 4 people to stay, good for family. Then we move to a standard double, which has better Wi-Fi reception.

The shower was so small even thin people like my mum is hard to turn around inside. Also the shower water spattered outside every time when you take shower.

Staff were excellant and very friendly and obliged whenever we requested something, Good location with plenty of places to eat out. Room was small but confortable. Breakfast was average but healthy choices were available.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and climbing each time was not so easy at our age.

Loved the location. The staff was great. The happy hour was wonderful. They did more than we expected. The room was small but it was clean and air conditioned. We loved it. I will stay at this hotel when I return to Florence.
