Its the Second time im In golden palace and both of the times I had problems with the same receptionist. Really bad trained for a 5 stars hotel

Spa entrance 30€!!! at first they had given me a smoking room, without asking me if I wanted one. You have to walk a couple of miles to get to the Golden Tower 2.

Staff is not trained properly, very inexperienced. A very long wait during check in with multiple confusion caused by the Reception even with confirmed fully paid print out of receipts. Service is terrible, no one answers the phone from the room even when we call reception/concierge - even after multiple calls within the hour. Very unhelpful staff to answer queries and requests. We requested to remove the extra bed from our room as we did not request for it. We request for removal for 2 days (4 request) and it was not removed and they want to charge us for it during checkout. Neither me nor my other 5 friends will stay at this hotel again not recommend to anyone. Highly disappointing.

Luxurious hotel, good facilities, lovely appearance, large and attractive, Enjoyed the Italian breakfast. A lovely experience particularly as we had two single rooms, with double beds at a reasonable price through our booking for these two rooms. All very smart and enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely to be provided with complementary fridge of soft drinks. Lovely to have bed made up afresh each day and toiletries provided. Great location for walking out in the evening and for the station and the day time shops and sights. A wonderful four nights there

This is being very particular! The spa was too expensive and swimming should be included in the room price, as should continental Italian breakfast. Pool was very small and too small for a swim and would not pay 35 euros just for a swim each morning. Rather dark along some corridors. Expensive hotel, for drinks in the bar. Would not have wished to share the double room as too small for two people. The odd touch up in the bathtoom was needed, eg no plug in the bath and no tap for the plug, to lift it in and out. Also some grouting needed along the bath. Also the floors of the bathrooms looked in need of a very good polish of tiles. Fridge in friend's room did not work. Would have liked tea/coffee making facility in room. I am pointing out all the little things that would have made the stay absolutely perfect but this is being very criticial, it was a lovely stay

The Golden Palace was recommended to us by a frequent user for its location (terrific) and general comfort. We'd booked an ordinary room but the hotel seemed pretty quiet and we were upgraded (free) to a DeLuxe room and to complimentary breakfast. So for us, our stay was terrific value. (The full buffet breakfast would have been very expensive for what it was -- though the coffee was quite good: but probably if you had to pay you'd want to step outside to one of the nearby bars.) Our room was indeed very spacious (very large bathroom too, with both bath and separate shower), and serviced very well. There's now free wifi in the room but (on an iPad) this was *very* flakey and randomly dropped required re-signing in between web pages or after viewing emails and returning to the web: not at all good. The restaurant, however, came up trumps one evening. Our booking at Corsorzio wasn't honoured (even though made for us by our Italian son-in-law so there's no question of a language foul-up). So we traipsed back to the Golden Palace, and although they were putting on a special dinner in the main part of the restaurant gave us a quite excellent meal. (Very nice service there too.)

The English of some of those on reception seemed a bit basic for a business hotel (though we had no problems), and E.G. our cases weren't whisked away to our rooms as you might have expected. So service wasn't really 5 star if that matters to you, though it didn't to us.

Just the location

The staff was not welcoming, had an attitude like we should be happy to stay in the hotel. My husband and I we got a very small room, suitable for a single traveller, but we were charge 176 euros excluding breakfast for this tiny room. In all the fairness i won't recommend this hotel. Booking com should provide information about the sizes of the rooms.

The pool which is hugely advertised is not accessible to the standard rooms, you have to pay 30 eur. This is not mentionned anywhere on the site nor on booking. This is simply unacceptable! A 5 star hotel asking some rooms to pay their entrance at the indoor pool ???!! We also had a problem with the lights and the personnel wasn't very reactive.

the design is perfect ,the location is near by everything in the city restaurants, cafes , attractions with only walking distance ,the staff are friendly ,the room is clean ,,, the only thing is when they book you to tower 2 too much walking from the main entrance and there's an elevator connection in the first floor ,

We had a nice size room clean and new.

Our room air conditioner made loud noise all night and day. The hotel itself was very dark and the facility in the pool was not all available. Mostly the front desk staff was completely unhelpful. When we checked in they did not have my request for an extra bed which we paid for in advance and luckily I had my confirmation because I was being told there was nothing available. When we checked out we asked for the bill to be split in half and they made a big deal about doing that. We overheard the staff talking about us in Italian and rolling their eyes. I was really surprised at such poor behavior for at hotel staff. For the amount of money we paid I would not consider this hotel again. I did read other reviews similar complaints but thought to try myself. Next time I will take reviews more seriously.

It is central, luxurious and very well priced

Right in the center of town, within walking distance to all major points of interest. Very nicely decorated.

Considering this is a 5 star, luxury hotel, the service could have been better. The personnel was polite and correct but did not go the extra mile to be more welcoming and corteous. We had to ask twice to have extra towels for my son, and they only brought one, no bathrobe, no slippers. We had to change room because the mechanism that opened/closed the curtains was broken (could not close them). Here again, we had to remind them twice to check. We had to change room, and we ended up having a smaller one, with few things here and there broken. These are the little details that make the difference between a good and an excellent hotel.

Extremely welcoming staff in all areas of hotel. Sumptuous design. Good bar. Good food.

Il complesso dei servizi ed il rapporto qualità prezzo

La situation très proche des commerces et de nombreuses places. Le fait de pouvoir manger encore à l'hotel passé 22h, et que le repas soit très bon. Le patio de l'hôtel très sympa pour l'apéro.

La chambre un peu petite si on passe plus d'une nuit à l'hôtel.
