We previously stayed at the Hotel Graal last summer and were excited to return, as we'd had a great experience. The view and location are wonderful. We brought our dog with us and they were very welcoming of him.
Because it is off season, the hotel closes many of it's rooms and we did not get the Junior Suite we reserved. The hotel did eventually decrease our room rate. The kitchen was also not open so we weren't able to get the breakfast, which was to be included in the price of our room. One of the bathroom lights in our room was not working and the shower overflowed because of a non functioning drain. No one seemed particularly concerned. We will likely find another place to stay when we return to Ravello
Excellent view! Wish I could stay in the room longer. Quiet and peaceful. Things are elegant, even towels made me feel wonderful.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially antoinette(?) on reception. It's a little tired in places, swimming pool unkempt although it was 30 th oct when we were there so leaves etc everywhere.
The location and view. The little veranda where you can sit and overlooking the bay is wonderful.
Nothing to complain about.
Very nice view, clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff.
Not a lot to dislike. Though it should be well noted that it feels like a 3 star hotel instead of a 4 due to lack of renovation inside the building - especially going from the lobby to the room.
Location, friendliness of staff, breakfast, restaurant, pool setting with food and drink, views to die for, ease at getting to the square and transportation, compared to other hotels in the area good price
Pool not heated, bed mattress. 3 rooms mine too soft and weak, one too hard, and 3rd room beds pushed together with pad, but still fell through to floor
The location was superb, with a view across the bay to Minori. Only a few minutes walk from the central piazza. The room was clean and had plenty of space. Breakfast was served in a breakfast room, again, overlooking the bay. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Car parking was at a cost, unlike some other hotels of similar cost in Ravello. You also had to rely on staff driving your car to and from the parking location.
The view from the room was amazing, the breakfast was very very nice and the size of the room was good for 4 of us.
The meals in the restaurant for dinner were very average and for the price we found far better meals in the restaurant next door.
This hotel has a wonderful view of the Amalfi coast looking south to Salerno. The staff make the venue very friendly and the facilities are jaunt what a traveller needs.
The rooms are comfortable but on the small side. All is forgiven as the view is stunning.
Whole shower enclosure area leaked all over bathroom floor. Needs IMMEDIATE attention. Was very exasperating !
The hotel is situated at the edge of Ravello allowing for breathtaking views over the Amalfi coast. It's a 2 minute walk to bus stops or the main square which was perfect for what we were looking for.
According to the hotel they have parking available however it does cost which we only found out once we got there.
Unbeatable view Nice pool Friendly and very helpful staff 2 mins from the Ravello centre Lovely room, especially after we upgraded to the better quality one Quality breakfast
The best view in the best town! Staff were amazing! There was nothing lacking! Our room was perfect!
I have no complaints
Hotel views were stunning, all rooms seemed to have a great view. pool area, small but adequate the buffet breakfast was ok not the best we have had by far but the staff were friendly and our room cleaned daily.
Our room was awful, we had upgraded to a junior suite that was situated on a lower level than any of our friends. It was very dark and dingey no natural light virtually at all and from seeing the normal rooms I actually queried it being a suite - just a bed two bedside tables TV and a table and chair in front of a mirror. No complementary bathroom items apart from a bar of soap and a shampoo.First day there hotel bar ran out of vodka - they had one bottle even though hotel seemed very busy. In my opinion I have never stayed in a worse 4 star hotel - the rating obviously comes from the location
location was perfect - views outstanding - staff very pleasant and helpful - food very good - plenty of areas to sit out and relax - pool very good - will definitely return next year
nothing really - would have been good to have parking but we know that is not feasible at such a location and car retrieval was very efficient in any case
Location is second to none, simply stunning views from the room and the pool area over Minori & Maiori. Pool area is lovely, very pretty with incredible views. Excellent parking service and staff couldn't be more helpful. The owner was charming and very attentive, as was the pool and reception staff. 3-4 min walk to the centre of Ravaello
Shower was blocked on arrival, required a room change. First room had lots of hair on balcony and in bathroom. I complained and this was rectified immediately. The hotel is a little tired and needs decorating and a bit of a makeover (some light fittings missing, paint peeling off walls). Safety deposit box was not bolted to the wall???
Lovely pool although not heated. Views amazing. Staff friendly and spoke English. Excellent location. Very close to the main square. Quiet. Very clean. Restaurant was good but expensive.
Hotel needs a revamp. There was no temperature control on air conditioning. Balcony was too small for two chairs. Plants growing over the balcony. The Restaurant is very expensive. Bar closed after 11pm which is too early. Hard and lumpy pillows. Mold in the shower cubicle. Breakfast boring and not enough fresh fruit. There were people in and around the pool who weren't staying in the hotel. There was a dog at the pool that yapped every time it's owner walked away. Very irritating sometimes.
Booked a superior delux room, but on arrival was told that the hotel did not have superior delux rooms. Paid over £300 for 2 nights accomodation. Was expecting much better for this amount of money, the room was dated and not particularly clean. We were part of a wedding party staying in ravello and after visiting the hotels of other guests there are definitely much better and affordable hotels in the area. Please do not think you are getting a 4* hotel. At best this is 3* and I am being generous.
Cleaning crew didn't replace toiletries each day
The location, the view, and the pool
The facilities were on the basic side and there was no shower curtain which meant the bathroom floor was constantly wet
Excellent location in Ravello, fantastic staff, helpful and friendly, breathtaking views of the Divina Costiera, nice swimming pool, clean room and facilities, bus stop across the street. We had a very pleasant stay at Graal Hotel!
Room did not match description as suite, some features not ok for a 4-star hotel (eg: lack of reading lights by the bed)
View is fantastic Nice breakfast and pool
first room was not very clean with uncomfortable bed and a very thin partition to next door so all talking could be overheard and kept us up. We complained and they upgraded us to nicer room, which made our stay good.
some room updating wouldn't go amiss
Well positioned in Ravello just a 3 minute walk away from the Duomo and centre square. Great views over Minori (which is the other side of the hill from Amalfi). Room (a Junior suite) was spacious with a sofa as well as a small balcony with chair and table. Comfortable room. Pool is as you see in the picture, with deckchairs facing spectacular views. The staff are extremely helpful (especially with our early checkout). Wifi connection very good. Breakfast was plentiful. We didn't try the restaurant, but it gets good reviews.
Shame that the parking is not complimentary - it's a pleasant perk the hotel should offer.
Dated interior Not very adventorous breakfast
