Good location with outstanding views. Good restaurant serving above average food and wine - professional and enthusiastic staff.

Room was damp. This was the beginning of the season, so it probably had not been used for some months.

Superb view from room.

No hot water on all 3 evenings we were there and even after asking there was barely enough for one bath. Breakfast very meagre, just a roll, croissant and slice of tart each. No buffet as advertised. One bedside light failed, handbasin plug not working etc.

The hotel, poor and over priced, very expensive view.

The room was very cold and no facility provided to warm it up. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The TV only had BBC world news channel and we were told the sky TV subscription for the hotel ended at the end of September!!!

the bathroom was 'aged'. the noise in the room next to ours (adjacent) was really terrible. the isolation was very bad and some women were making noise for hours. We asked the manager to do something, but the noise lasted...

Location was spectacular. Restaurant was very good as were the local ones. Ravello itself only 5 mins walk from hotel and a charming place. Good public transport to other must see places in the area, so parked my car when I arrived, in the Hotel garage, and there it stayed until we left. Staff were exceptionally helpful. I will definitely pay a return visit hoping to take friends on next trip to share the delights of Ravello.

Great location and spectacular views

Breakfast wasn't terribly impressive and the decor could use to be updated.

Fantaxtic situation and view from most public places and also rooms with balconies. Good restaurant with splendid views and good Italian quisine. Restaurant is a separeate business to the hotel. Well placed near centre of Ravello.

Reception not very welcoming with a take it or leave it attituce when we arrived. The room we had was ok but bathroom not clean enough when we arrived and there were cobwebs hanging from the main room ceitling. Good baclcony and view with the room but too much like a spartan concrete back yard!

The rooms and furniture was tired Front of house service was poor lady attending us was really not the type To be in the hotel game We left after viewing the room, and decided not to Stay We had to pay full rate although we did not utilize and Any of the service provided

The hotel staff was most gracious, helpful and very accommodating. Adding to that, we had a room with a million dollar view. The town of Ravello is full of life making making this stay full of wonderful memories. This hotel is charming.

Magnificent view, very friendly staff, restaurant very good.

The hotel is very run down. It needs major renovation from the furniture, to painting of the walls, adding lights to the room which is very depressing at night. Bed matress and pillows are terrible. We had booked for 8 nights, and honestly if we could get our money back, we would have left from the 2nd day. When we were looking to book this hotel, the photos did not look like this at all. Regarding the good reviews I was reading, I understood why once there. Most of the clientele are over 75 and seemed to like this style of hotel. Even the restaurant was closing dinner at 22h00 during August. Definately too much money spent on a hotel that should be a 3 star.

A family run hotel

The 1st room we had smelt of smoke despite requesting and phoning ahead for a non smoking room as near as possible to the other 2 rooms we booked as a family. We were very far away opposite side and floor. The bathroom was disgusting and no functioning shower/hot water. We were moved to a suite close by the next night. Apparently the staff don t read notes on the system. If I had a very inferior room and a better room available I would automatically upgrade rather not deliver what was promised and expected The hotel looks very tired and could be charming with a bit of tlc and attentive reception staff.

Terribly hot, no ventilation horrible old bathroom awful cupboard. Very very noisy the 1st night felt as if we were sleeping in the bar and smoke came in disgusting! We were told we had a nice room and didn t ask to be moved until the 2nd night after not sleeping at all. The staff don t seem to understand that people aged 50+ don t appreciate sleeping in such accommodation. It is tired and needs air conditioning.

The setting was perfect, with panoramic views of the Gulf of Salerno, especially nice when sitting around the pool area. We could have stayed on our balcony forever, admiring the view. The hotel was only a short walk from the main square, and shops in Ravello. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. We would love to go back there some time in the future.

Have just returned from a week at Hotel Graal. All our expecations were proved correct; this is an excellent hotel with stunning views over the Amalfi Coast and great access to the town square and all amenities. We had a "superior room" that was not luxurious but perfectly adequate. The air conditioning worked well and the view from the balcony spectacular. The hotel was quiet at night allowing a good night's sleep. We eat in the restaurant every night and the half board package that we upgraded to was good value - dinner was four courses with a choice of meat or fish. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. Ravello is a charming and picturesque town. The position of this hotel allows easy access to all the sites - Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo are particular highlights. Although a popular tourist destination, you never felt overun by visitors and in the evening when the local families appeared to meet in the square, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.

Good pool, great location. Staff at reception were variable (some good, some not). Room clean and air-con worked. Good balcony. Slightly expensive compared to other hotels, but we were there during the festival so this may have driven the cost up. Food at the pool also rather expensive.

I was the first to book the hotel room but found that other guests had superior rooms despite booking several months later than me. I would have preferred a bath to a shower.

amazing views, amazing staff, very relaxed. Super pool, rooms clean and good quality linen, a little faded and dated, but that matters not a jot when weighed against the pro's of this hotel. would stay again without hesitation.

The position to the town square was very good just a short walk through the tunnel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good.

The staff was friendly, the resturant was lovely, the view from our room was just amazing. And the best thing is that you have the same view from poolside and from your table at dinner. Poolside was just incredible. We felt very welcome and well taken care of. The owner and his family were lovely people. They cleaned our room everytime we went out pretty much. We would love to return!

A little bit of lack of information in the room, could have had some instructions for how to call reception and work the TV and maybe even a map of Ravello or so. The balconies start to look a bit worn down and could do with a bit brushing up.

Beautiful views, great location, short walk to the centre of Ravello and staff were very helpful.

Slightly over priced, needs a bit of sprucing up! No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast finished at 10am.

Arrived at 9:00 am not expecting to be able to check in. They kindly offered a room that was ready and gave us the option to look at the room before deciding if it was good enough. Room was ideal and a view to die for. Other reviews are a little harsh. Yes it could do with some touch up in decorative terms but we will be going back next year no problem.

Absolutely stunning views of the Amalfi coastline and fabulous pool area.The location was great to get to Ravello by foot or the long walk down to Minori for those feeling energetic.The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.Some parts of the hotel were a bit dated and it was a shame breakfast wasn,t served on the stunning terrace rather than in the somewhat old fashioned breakfast room.That said the breakfast was good.
