Centrally located in the prestigious and impressive P.zza dei Quattro Mori, the Gran Duca Hotel offers its guests 80 comfortable rooms and studios, beautifully furnished and elegant.
It is only 10 minutes from the railway station and 5 minutes from the ferry for islands.

This hotel has been recently renovated and it is located close to shops, banks and post offices which makes it the ideal destination for work and tourism as well.

The restaurant is renowned for its tasty sea-food dishes made with fresh fish from local fishermen. Situated in the heart of Livorno's historical centre, it is within easy reach of the port and large car parks. Comfortably and elegantly furnished, it has air conditioning. The outside veranda is open throughout the year and is perfect for everything from ceremonies to snacks. In summer dinner is served in the outdoor restaurant on the Grand Square.

Internet signal was good, once you paid through the teeth for it. Location was excellent. Television system was modern.

The room was not absolutely clean when I arrived. The rooms were small and Spartan. The mini-bar was empty. The toilet was too small. The internet was way too expensive. They charge you 15 Euros to use the smallest pool I have ever seen. The food selection at the restaurants is limited to only seafood. The breakfast is mediocre with poor selection.

Vicinity to the port and ferry services to the island. Rooms are comfortable but noisy.

Rooms overlooking the sea are very noisy (main road).

Position in relation to downtown and harbor, breakfast

I'd troubles with the hotel garage (the entrance is to narrow and I did damage my car). In my opinion hotel staff should give more attention to this point and more help to thr guests!!

Centrale ligging, ruime en nette kamers.

Het zwembad (zie foto's) was zonder opgave van redenen gesloten. Personeel is afstandelijk, veelal bot. Het restaurant heeft een mooie menukaart, prima keuken, veel belovende wijnkaart. De arrogantie van de bediening reduceert alles tot een hooguit matige ervaring. Overigens valt er in Livorno weinig te zien en is e.e.a. voor een toerist niet interessant te noemen.

Amabilidad del personal, limpieza, cercania al puerto (ferry).

Las habitaciones, exceptuando el bano, parecen la casa de mi abuela en el pueblo. El mobiliario necesita ya una renovacion.
