The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. The location is excellent, very central. The hotel itself is superb with large, comfortable rooms and a fantastic roof garden with a magnificent view of the city. We would definitely stay there again. We would have liked to have lunch on the roof garden (it was open only for dinner). The roof garden is a magical place, and ideally it should be open all the time. It would also be nice if the upstairs bar were open more hours. |

The hotel is close to the main train station and major sites are within walking distance. Staff are helpful upon arrival at the hotel. The breakfast room has a very nice view of the city. The selection did not vary too much but there was plenty, and coffee offered as soon as you sit. Nice to have real silverware in your service. The staff were very pleasant. Traditional, but definitely needs a shining and overhaul to be up to date. The room initially smelled musty and moldy which did not clear the first night with opening the window. The smell interrupted my sleep the first night, but it was okay by my second and third night. |

The Grand Hotel Baglioni has the 2nd best view of Florence from their rooftop restaurant. The hotel has a wonderful history of celebrities that frequented the rooms. From Grace Kelly and the Prince of Moracco to Bing Crosby. Sadly the walls of photos of the celebrities were featured on their second floor. The hotel is within walking distance to the Florence Centrale Train Station. A hotel that hosted celebrities of this caliber was not the hotel that I stayed in. It is dark and cold and in desparate need of updates especially the plumbing and electrical, not to mention that the ac/heating was not working (nights were cold). |

The hotel is old and has a lot of history and charcter. It was like stepping back in time. Very grand as the name suggests. No facilities for in room coffee making which I missed after a day t the Florence markets. |

It was beautiful to look at. The history and decor of the hotel was really the only thing it had going for it. The bathroom was super clean and very beautiful as well. Some of the staff was not friendly at all, others were more so, but all and all the whole entire staff should have been more accommodating to Americans and they were not. We actually had an incident of someone breaking into our room while we were in it and the staff at first did not believe us. One staff member said to us if nothing was stolen, then what is the problem? |

Comfortable as a whole; locationally convenient; at a time traditional and fonctional, Italian and international. Receptionists should be a little more responsive to client's request! |

Location - very close to the main city hallmarks. Staff was very pleasant. Design - for those who are into XIX (or earlier) century style. Though the interior design is XIX century, they could have painted the room walls at least once during last 100 years. Breakfast is the same every day and not much to choose from. |

It was a very nice hotel. The room was more spacious than we expected. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The food was very good. The only problem we had was that the rooms were not very sound-proof. Any activity from our neighboring rooms could easily be heard in ours (voices even if not so loud, TV, etc). |

I have stayed here before and the location is perfect. Along with a great buffet breakfast you can enjoy the most amazing view of Florence and the Doumo. This hotel is quite popular and upon checking in, I found the staff to be less than friendly. Certain members of their staff shouldn't be in the hospitality business |

I liked the vicinity of all amenities of the city center. The quite high cost of the car parking. It should be lower for hotel guests. |

The room was beautiful and it had a private terrace with table and chairs outside. The linens and towels were of excellent quality. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and most important, the staff was excellent! |

the staff was friendly and helpful - except at the first meeting where they changed our room with the coldest (that is known) and smallest (I suppose) one in the hotel! The room was very cold, however became warmer after my intervention on the next day |

the location was superb, central to everything, we walked everywhere and right back at the hotel in no time. bascially across the street from the train station. Breakfast was good with beautiful views from the top of the hotel of the city. Staff very attentive and friendly, the conceirge at the front desk the day we arrived was excellent in helping to show us where to go and where to eat. No, we were satisfied with everything. |

Location.Big rooms. Excellent breakfast. The fee required for parking the car was double from the one I found on my own 30 metres away from the Hotel. I think this is unacceptable! |

The restaurant was lovely, it has the most amazing view and really is the hotels best feature. The view is even better than in the pictures and the food was lovely. Get there for 7 when it opens though for a good table. It does shut at 10 though. I recommend you visit the restaurant even if you don't stay in the hotel. The hotel is very old and shabby. Though I appreciate its history it could do with a facelift. The beds were very uncomfortable and there were blankets on it that some questionable crustation on them. I would hardly expect blankets anyway in a 4 star hotel. Its a nice hotel with some lovely original features but needs renovating. If it was 3* and a bit cheaper, I may have been less disappointed. |
