Location was good, very near to train station We were given a room at the back of the hotel with a veiw of a brick wall, we were move(.grudgingly) the next day. Breakfast was a zoo and on all 3 days we had to wait up to 15 mins to be seated. The beautiful terrace was not available to eat on.........a great waste in my opinion, the staff on the front desk were all rather rude and arogant, however the porters and chamber maids were delightful |

This hotel has a fabulous foyer and is quite grand. the restaurant has a beautiful view of the hills around the city. I expected that my internet booking would mean a small room. However, this must have been the worst room in the building (room 249). If not the worst room then the hotel rooms standard is generally poor. In fact, my colleague who booked through a congress group had the misfortune of losing an earing under the bed. She looked for it and instead found balls of hair, cotton threads, crumpled paper...etc. While her room was slightly bigger than mine, there was no view (mine was a window opening into a wall) and overall we both spent as little time as possible in the room. |

Location of the hotel was ideal for the train station and the central sightseeing. Also, it was surprisingly quiet. It was a little disappointing that the roof garden area was not open before 6pm as some days we would have enjoyed a drink and rest at the hotel |

Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was wonderful!! They had a panoramic view of the Duomo. The hotel is next to the train station. The bed was as hard as a rock!!! |

The hotels location is excellent - very close to transport links, shops, restaurants etc. Rooftop terrace / restaurant / bar very nice please to round off the evening. Why are there photographs of Hitler in the lift lobby ? The roof top bar etc is excellent as already mentioned as long as you have won the lottery to afford a drink - 9 Euro's 50 cents for a Gin and tonic. Valet parking over 30 euro's a day ! This hotel whilst very comfortable and central needs to realise there is a recession on otherwise it will be occupied only by the super rich. |

Nice hotel with classic and a little bit conservative interior design with very comfortable location in the city center near all main paces (Uffizi, Ponte Veccio, etc.) |

Very comfortable stay in a classic pre war grand hotel. Enormous bed.. Within walking distance of all major tourist sites. Minor - no in room tea/coffee, and no facility for toast at breakfast. Expensive parking (32 Eu./day) |

The hotel is very well located - just 5 minutes walk from the Duomo. The staff was very nice and gave all the support we needed. The restaurant has an amazing view and a great atmosphere. |

very good location, 5-15 minutes walking to the main old city sites. The restaurant-bar on the roof of the building give an excellent view of the city. The staff at the front desk can be more attentioned to the guest needs and more friendly. |

about 5-10 min. walk to cathedral, opposite train station, so no taxi needed, large hotel, there was a wool exhibition on at the same time, restaurant in street leading to duomo, although did not look like much was delicious- internet payable, bed were twin beds that were very uincomfortable and would slide on the floor as you sat on them, sides would cave in which made you fear to fall off the bed at any time during the night, service at reception was slow and impersonal, cared more about their group than anybody else, hotel restaurant fully booked out at dinner time as group was there- |

The reservation staff on arrival was welcoming and competent. They were helpful and fluent in English. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Location is excellent for walking around Florence. The internet service was practically unusable because of its low speed. One of the after-hours reservation desk staff was rude and abrupt. The hotel has a bit of a musty odor, |

The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. The location is excellent, very central. The hotel itself is superb with large, comfortable rooms and a fantastic roof garden with a magnificent view of the city. We would definitely stay there again. We would have liked to have lunch on the roof garden (it was open only for dinner). The roof garden is a magical place, and ideally it should be open all the time. It would also be nice if the upstairs bar were open more hours. |
