Grand Hotel Continental  

Very good location. Luxury interior. Large, well furnished rooms (we were upgraded).

Breakfast was perhaps not quite as good as one might expect for the price. The bar and restaurant seemed over-priced

The hotel is in the best location, our room was beautiful and very clean! The staff was wonderful!! This hotel is one of the very best!

Not one thing!

The location was great - a few minutes walk from the main square and the cathedral. While we were in Siena there was a heatwave so we could sightsee in the morning and evening and have a siesta at the hotel during the fierce heat of the day - perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive and the hotel had real character.

A lot of noise outside because of its location

The location of this hotel is perfect. You can spend a few hours visiting sights, then come back to the hotel easily for a rest. Easy walking distances to everything, including some extraordinary restaurants. We had the best pizza of our lives, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel! The rooms are smallish by US standards, but it is an original, refurbished palace, and sumptuous in it's decoration and appointments. Love to go back!

シエナを代表する5つ星ホテルであり設備、サービス、豪華で歴史を感じる存在感は高く評価できる。この町の- 主要バスターミナルであるグラムシ広場から400ｍ程で目抜き通りに面しており、シエナをベースにしてトス- カーナの各町に遠出するのに至便である。またローマ、フィレンツェへの高速バスの基点であり移動にも便利。- ただし週末は夜遅くまで多少騒がしい。 ホテルはグラムシ広場からカンポ広場に向かう目抜き通りの途中に位置し、観光地のど真ん中にあり、観光客目- 当ての土産物屋や飲食店が多く落ち着いた雰囲気には欠ける。落ち着いた雰囲気の良質なレストランはむしろモ- ンテリッジョーニ等の郊外や目抜き通りから少し外れた所にあるようである。ただし夜は特に公共交通機関がな- くなり、遠くに行くにはタクシー以外に足がない。 朝食は、食材の種類、質共に5つ星に相応しい素晴らしいが、値段は26ユーロ/人と朝食としてはかなりの高- 額となる。

La stanza da bagno della mia camera non era a mio parere all'altezza dell'hotel .

Bei der Ankunft in der Fussgängerzone hat die Polizei sofort mir den Weg zum Hotel gezeigt und mir einen Parkplatz (wo man eigentlich nicht Parken kann) zugeteilt. Die Hotelmitarbeiter haben sich geradezu überschlagen mir alles abzunehmen. Man teilte mir ein Zimmer zu und fragte sofort, ob ich auch zum Vergleich noch ein anderes Zimmer sehen wollte. Obschon im Hotel ein eigenes Restaurant hatte man kein Problem mir eine Empfehlung für unseren Gusto zu geben - und das war absolut in einheimischer Geheimtip. Wir wurden wiederum behandelt wie Goethe auf seiner Italienreise nach Siena, also königlich. Kurzum wer nach Siena will und nicht so ganz genau aufs Geld schauen muss ist im Grand Hotel Continental gut aufgehoben.

Die Juniorsuite liegt im Dach, es ist also nicht die Suite, wie man sich eine Suite im Luxushotel vorstellt. Oben auf dem Dach obenauf sitzt die Klimaanlage und die summt mit 440 Hertz die ganze Nacht - nichts für Musiker oder empfindsame Geister.

четко организована работа консьержей и персонала, услуги по стирке/чистке белья безупречны (все возвращается в тот же день), самый центр старого города, номера удобно спланированы, чудные балконы-террассы на крыше (только в номерах класса "представительский люкс джуниор")

разочаровал ресторан. на завтраке посуда была плохо вымыта каждый день, также плохо были помыты овощи (помидоры) и ягоды (клубника), на мой взгляд, такое недопустимо для гостиниц этого уровня. выпечка для завтрака тоже ниже среднего по европейским меркам. ощущение отсутствие требовательного менеджера ресторана и/или большой ограниченности в средствах.

Mauvais entretien général, beaucoup trop cher

Courtesy and professionalism of every single member of staff. Excellent room facilities. Wonderful food and service in Cheval Blanc and Brasserie both for dinner and breakfast. Great view overlooking the river.

Printed driving directions given by the hotel were in insufficient detail both for arrival from France and from Switzerland. We got lost travelleing to the hotel from both directions.
