Grand Hotel & Des Anglais overlooks the Ligurian Sea from its panoramic position in Sanremo, a 2-minute walk from the beach and one mile from the Ariston Theatre.
Score from 1888 reviews Good
This classical villa dates back to the end of the 19th century, and is surrounded by palms, secular pine trees and an eucalyptus. Its lounge and restaurant are decorated with antique furnishings.
Score from 606 reviews Excellent
Boasting a free luxury spa, heated outdoor pool with salt water, and private beach, Grand Hotel Del Mare Resort & Spa is surrounded by beautiful gardens right on the seafront.
Score from 686 reviews Excellent
Set in an Art Nouveau-style villa, Lolli Palace Hotel is surrounded by huge palm trees on the famous Promenade Imperatrice in Sanremo, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea. It offers free Wi-Fi.
Score from 391 reviews Very good
Room was very clean, good service, nice view to the sea, good breakfast in the old, very beautiful room. We have travelled around the world and thougt the pool area wasn't luxorious it was one of the best swimming experiences because of the salt water. Good service at the pool area too :) We paid 80 euros for a night and it was worth it :)
Location, breakfast, free wi-fi
Cleanliness in the hall and staircase - hotel really need to be renovated.
Position - sea view Elegant, if slightly run down, building Receptionist very helpful
Generally a bit run down Shower - hand held Room and lift smelt dusty
Close to center of town.
WiFi was not reliable, and slow. Breakfast mediocre. Parking was at the back, but to get to it, you have a steep grade, and is about 250 meters from hotel main entrance. Hotel restaurant not good.
Excellent Staff Clean property Classic look and feel Awesome view with an amazing Balcony Great Value Solid Location
The bed was 2 twin beds pushed together with one sheet. It was a comfortable sleep, but would have been a lot better with a single mattress.
Great room, sea view, location and price. Friendly and helpful staff.
Grand staircase could do with better flooring and hotel needs a general update. Charge for sun bed around pool and opening and closing times of pool.
Very comfortable hotel. Good facilities. Free car parking. Helpful staff.
The town is a little tired. Perhaps needs investment in the street cleaning arena.
We asked for two rooms with sea view and balcony. We got this and the balconies were connected. This was excellent since we had two youngish children with us. The pool area was very good.
A small point but the poolside snack menu was very limited.
Very grand looking from the outside and foyer but rooms a little bit dated and in need of paint and new furniture. Room and bathroom were clean but very limited toiletries. Comparing it to other 4 star hotels in Italy it lags behind. Charge for using the pool as a hotel guest is unfair. Lovely views from our room. Good position and close to beach and restaurants. The hotel has a lot of history no doubt but needs a facelift in the bedrooms and lift is so slow. Breakfast was fine maybe more fresh fruit and not tinned would be better. There was fresh watermelon only both mornings.
Shower over the bath. No toilet paper in ladies room downstairs....both the toilets had none. Pool charges 7 euros per person. Male receptionist did not greet us when we booked in but the lady was friendly.
Although not on the seafront - which is how it is described - the location is good ( although the busy road is noisy through the day)
The charge of €7 for a sunbed per person per day to sunbathe at the pool - guests can't lie on their own towels in the sun. Shower and fridge needed replacing. Some of the staff verging on rude. Hotel discount to local private beach is only €1 per person so it's €45 per day for a family of 5.Tiny local beach always very busy.
Lovely room, facilities excellent, fab location, brilliant view from room!!
The Hotel was cleaned accordingly. The atmosphere of old type hotel remained, even though to much here and there
Personnel behaviour not up to the price paid. Uninterested and not on their toes. Exception was pool man who really looked after on a personal way.
Great friendly atmosphere, great customer service from waiters in dining room & bar & was most impressed by dinner services with silver service waiters classically dressed in old style early 1900,s Dining Room with great food. had a nice big room with plenty of wardrobe space with balcony overlooking the coast & pool below. the only thing I could fault would be creaking floor boards due to the building being old & kept in its traditional early 1900,s style which makes it unique. Central to local beaches & shops....Great Stay
Creaking floorboards. paying for pool deck beds & towels. breakfast was average could be more variety.
Old hotel of early 1920's - no interior charm, bedrooms and bathroom need serious renovation. Very poor parking facilities. Poor breakfast choices. This is my fifth stay in San Remo - the other hotels closer to the Casino are better and more value for money.
Beautiful old style grandeur, fabulous sea views
Miserable lifeguard, having to pay for loungers by the pool. Beach cramped by too many loungers
Location was good
Hotel itself was a bit rundown. Wasn't great value for the money
That very old hotel was a very nice place, very clean, great and helpfull staff with smile in the face. Everything was perfect, one of the best hotels i ever visited.
-no vegetables on breakfast. -my holiday was too short... :(
Nice and spacious room, friendly staff, Good Breakfast.
Deco needs refreshing in communal areas. Paying for a sunbed.
Bartender, food staff was good...well for the most part. I sat in the bar about 1530 looking for food and a drink and no one came. After 15 minutes I walked downtown.
Sticky floors and a lady at the front desk that was not very nice.
The stuff was very polite. It was a great athmosphere erverywhere: the marvellous breakfast-room, the amazing dinner-room, the bar. The stuff told us some advices where to go. We've got a map of San Remo. Great service, great hotel, great stay.
We wanted to use the swimmingpool but it was not included for the hotel guests. That is very annoying because we've payed a lot for our stay. Unfortunately the hotel is situated near to a thoroughfare and so it is sometimes rumorous (we've had a room on the seaside).
That you have to pay for the sun bed & towels by the pool as guests.
Fantastic receptionist who was welcoming and helpfil
