We asked for two rooms with sea view and balcony. We got this and the balconies were connected. This was excellent since we had two youngish children with us. The pool area was very good.
A small point but the poolside snack menu was very limited.
Lovely room, facilities excellent, fab location, brilliant view from room!!
Great friendly atmosphere, great customer service from waiters in dining room & bar & was most impressed by dinner services with silver service waiters classically dressed in old style early 1900,s Dining Room with great food. had a nice big room with plenty of wardrobe space with balcony overlooking the coast & pool below. the only thing I could fault would be creaking floor boards due to the building being old & kept in its traditional early 1900,s style which makes it unique. Central to local beaches & shops....Great Stay
Creaking floorboards. paying for pool deck beds & towels. breakfast was average could be more variety.
Old hotel of early 1920's - no interior charm, bedrooms and bathroom need serious renovation. Very poor parking facilities. Poor breakfast choices. This is my fifth stay in San Remo - the other hotels closer to the Casino are better and more value for money.
Beautiful old style grandeur, fabulous sea views
Miserable lifeguard, having to pay for loungers by the pool. Beach cramped by too many loungers
Location was good
Hotel itself was a bit rundown. Wasn't great value for the money
That very old hotel was a very nice place, very clean, great and helpfull staff with smile in the face. Everything was perfect, one of the best hotels i ever visited.
-no vegetables on breakfast. -my holiday was too short... :(
Nice and spacious room, friendly staff, Good Breakfast.
Deco needs refreshing in communal areas. Paying for a sunbed.
Bartender, food staff was good...well for the most part. I sat in the bar about 1530 looking for food and a drink and no one came. After 15 minutes I walked downtown.
Sticky floors and a lady at the front desk that was not very nice.
The stuff was very polite. It was a great athmosphere erverywhere: the marvellous breakfast-room, the amazing dinner-room, the bar. The stuff told us some advices where to go. We've got a map of San Remo. Great service, great hotel, great stay.
We wanted to use the swimmingpool but it was not included for the hotel guests. That is very annoying because we've payed a lot for our stay. Unfortunately the hotel is situated near to a thoroughfare and so it is sometimes rumorous (we've had a room on the seaside).
That you have to pay for the sun bed & towels by the pool as guests.
Fantastic receptionist who was welcoming and helpfil
Very friendly staff, big bed, good breakfast, free parking spaces, good bathroom. Okay to walk in the city/
The pool is "free of charge" but you have to pay for towels and sunbeds? These are hidden costs nowhere told before booking. Pool was closed and dirty anyway. The whole hotel needs repairs of the walls and ceillings, and repainting. Not really a good status for a four star hotel. We had two rooms as in the first the A/C started leaking (no problem, that could happen), but in both rooms you were not able to fully control the A/C by the control untit as they were half broken (temperature or fan on-off).
The staff were very helpful apart from the waiters who were v surley. It was my wifes birthday and we were given a lovelly room with 2 balconies overlooking the sea. They even put a birthday card in room with a bottle of bubbly which was a nice touch. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious.Fantastic pool area.
The hotel is used for coach parties from Eastern Europe and the breakfast buffet cannot cope. The hotel needs some money spending on it as it looks tired and outdated in the public areas with minor maintenance issues not being attended to.
This hotel was a great place to stay for two nights. The staff were very helpful with giving directions and suggestions of where to go. The room was huge with the biggest bathroom of my entire trip. For a guy who is 6foot2 I could actually fit in the bath. The pool was great too. It was close to everything and the view from the balcony was amazing.
Very limited off street parking. So once you had a car park you didn't want to drive anywhere.
The location is good right on the front with the promenade starting opposite the hotel. We had a fourth floor room at the front so had a marvellous sea view. The pool is large with plenty of sun beds. The hotel was once no doubt a place of great grandeur and a lot of that remains.
The road in front of the hotel is very busy and noisy. There is a charge for sunbeds around the pool but at least this secures them for the day if you need to nip out. The poolside showers need a good clean as does the sides of the pool.
Hotel in general .It had a lot if character.
The main staircase carpet needs a good Hoover.I think the housekeeper only used the lifts and never saw the dirty state of the carpet.
We enjoyed a spacious room, bonus a lovely bathroom and a balcony overseeing the sea and the beautiful surrounding palms. We loved Sanremo, the Ligurian coast, the unique bike track that goes along the seaside. Plamena and her collegues at the reception desk were very nice . Molto carini, grazie!! Ritorneremo sicuramente!
Breakfast could be improved.
I loved it all. Fantastic room, view, service, promenade. I would definitely return to the same hotel.
Bona situació i hotel estil clàssic molt agradable, parking gratuït Good situation, free parking, classical stile hotel
Cobren 7 € per persona per utilitzar la piscina! You have to pay 7€ to use the swimming pool!
great location helpful staff
needs some updating bathroom shower needed work, no shower door or curtain and the showerhead was mounted halfway in the tub area
Close to the beach
The hotel has a rich history, but today appears a little run down. Carpets are torn and dirty. In need of refubishment.
All was good
The pool & pool area closed too early
