Grand Hotel De Rose  

The hotel was right next to the beach along the lungomare with their own private beach area with lounge chairs. The pool area was very nice, and the staff was very friendly and provided information for daily activities provided by the hotel. It was also only a short walk to get to Scalea's centro storico from the hotel.

My room was claimed to be a non-smoking room, however, some of the furniture had reminents of cigarette smoke. The water pressure for the shower was very weak, and barely enough to rinse the shampoo and soap off of you. If you turned the knob on the shower for hot water, then it would come out as a steady trickle. Other than this two items, the hotel was quite nice.

The rooms haven't been renovated in 20 years. Furniture is so old it may break if you try using it, no kidding. Parking is very small if you're not lucky to find a spot (there are a total of about 15), expect to be looking to park elsewhere. Staff doesn't speak English. Aircon nearly dead. At night, the held a private party at the pool, only 5m from the rooms. The party was on till 2am, with loud music, so guests couldn't get some sleep till it was over. They even took chairs from the rooms to accomodate all the party guests. Needless to say the rooms are not soundproof. The hotel warns that it will charge you 2,5 eur/day if you keep your drinks in their Minibar. Beds and pillows are so hard, dont expect any comfort. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, hardly could be 3 star. Avoid it if you can. No value for money the charge. We travelled 2 weeks through south Italy and Sicily and it was the worst experience on the trip.

The view to the sea is great, and the garden is carefully tended.

The hotel is in need of a general refurbishing; the interior decor is gloom and doesn't fit with a hotel by the sea. We don' t recommend it to people who enjoy silence and calm: besides the natural noise of people down in the beach, the activities around the swimming pool -with loud music and aerobics etc- were quite irritating.

Очень доброжелательный персонал! Любая просьба выполнялась незамедлительно. Экскурсия -пожалуйста, на вокзал подвезти - пожалуйста, поставить дополнительный зонтик на пляже, дать вместо двух пляжных полотенец четыре, даже принести скотч для упаковки чемоданов и взвесить последние - все пожалуйста! Честно говоря, ни в каком другом отеле мира я этого не встречал. Конечно, отель не новый, но отношение персонала дорогого стоит. Недаром люди ездят туда по 25 лет.

Merita le stelle che ha.

замечательный отель. он на окраине города, но это его плюс - в отеле очень тихо! не слышно ни машин, ни прочей городской суеты. да и скалея сама не большая. пляж радом, море чистейшее. в отеле есть рускоговорящий персонал. все просьбы выполнялись очень быстро.

Vicino al mare, non caotico.

La posizione è senz'altro incantevole, praticamente sul mare e su una scogliera bellissima, a vederla dall'alto; il personale è molto cortese, e sufficientemente disponibile; ben tenute le stanze, anche se effettivamente avrebbero bisogno di svecchiare l'arredo ed alcuni accessori, proprio non da 4 stelle.

Sempre la posizione; tutto il litorale di Scalea era, almeno durante il mio soggiorno, letteralmente insozzato da una marea di napoletani, di quelli meno "simpatici", sembrava di stare a Scampia; la spiaggia libera immediatamente di fronte all'hotel era strapiena all'inverosimile, ed allietata dalle loro urla e da musica neomelodica a tutto volume, e cosa peggiore anche i bellissimi scogli affioranti dal mare erano letterelamente farciti di monnezza, la quale abbondava ovunque; solo nella spiaggetta privata dell'hotel c'era un po di pace, col povero bagnino/guardiano costantemente impegnato a mandare via scugnizzi in cerca di spazio vitale; so che l'albergo non ha responsabilità, ma non si può certo andare in vacanza e stare chiusi in hotel.

La posizione panoramica e la pulizia delle camere, nonostante si tratti di una struttura un po' vecchiotta. La piscina è bellissima, nonchè la piscina idromassaggi.

La struttura è un po' vecchia ma tenuta abbastanza bene; sarebbe da rimodernare. Si potrebbe migliorare la cura del verde.

La struttura è datata e non ben mantenuta. Le stanze non fronte mare sono umide e poco luminose. Il servizio spiaggia è a pagamento, inaccettabile per una struttura ricettiva fronte mare con una spiaggia privata senza alcun servizio oltre al bagnino. La notte tra le 3 e le 8 di mattina viene disattivata l'aria condizionata nelle camere.

Ottima l' ubicazione dell'hotel e buoni I servizi offerti. Un particolare apprezzamento va rivolto a Mattia il bagnino, il quale è stato particolarmente gentile e disponibile nei riguardi della clientela. Simpatici e disponibili anche I camerieri e le anomatrici.

Nota negativa per la pulizia: davvero pessima!

Posizioe rispetto alla spiaggia. Colazione di buona qualità

Staff formale e distaccato. Spiaggia Privata a pagamento per chi non ha scelto la pensione complea (15 euro giorno per sdraio, lettino ed ombrellone) e con diponibiltà posti non adeguata allacapacità dell'Hotel. Anche volendo pagare I 15 Euro visto che le pensioni complete hanno "priorità" ripetto algi altri, c'è il rischi fondao, come è capitato a noi di sentirsi dire che la diponibiltà era terminata e dovevamo andare al lido vicino. Oltre alla situazione antipatica di sentirsi un ospite di serie b in quanto solo b&b il problema è che al lido vicino abbiamo trovato un posto nelle utlime file e siamo stati anche fortunati in quanto la diponibiltà è finita presto (e se non trovavamo posto??). Televisone di qualità non adeguata al livello dell'hotel (piccola vecchia econ pessima visone dei canali). Parcheggio diponibile ma con capacità limitata ed in parte angusto)

La posizione sul mare, l'animazione (grande Arianna!), la piscina e l'idromassaggio, la colazione in terrazzo, camera ampia con vista sul mare, il tutto molto romantico! Parcheggio gratuito dell'hotel, importante considerando la difficoltà di trovare parcheggi e comunque a pagamento.

L'Arredamento datato delle camere, ampiamente compensato da tutto il resto.
