Hotel, restaurant and staff were great.

Hair dryer in the room was terrible.

Friendliness of the staff; Lorenzo was knowledgeable and very helpful. The older, distinguished gentleman at the piano bar, exsuded old world charm, reminiscent of the "Hemingway Era". Unfortunately we did not get his name.

Would have liked extended hours for the steam room, alarm clock in the bedroom and better quality in-room hair dryer.

Most I liked the beautiful view from our window. The consierge was so kind and gave us a room with a lake view. It was really increadable! Service and interrior of the hotel are excellent as well!

The price is very high, but I understand why.

It's really beautifull, amazing hotel in liberty style. Impeccably decorated halls. Every floor has its own art gallery. Marble, marquetry...Good breakfast, wonderfull lake view. Attentive staff. Good impressions. красивый, потрясающий отель в стиле либерти. изыскано декорированные холлы. на каждом этаже своя небольшая художественная галерея. хороший завтрак с шикарным видом на озеро. предупредительный персонал.отличные впечатления.

Absolutely everything, although perhaps the room could have done with a little better lighting and perhaps the soft furnishings renewing.

We missed having a kettle in the room.In the middle of our last night some guests from the same floor made a terrible noise. They were syhouting and singing. The receotionist didn't seem to be able to handle the situation until I raised my voice and ordered him to come upstairs and see to it that we can go back to bed. As it happened it was the end of our sleep (at 3 o'clock a.m....)

A unique building full luxury. Probably one of the most photographed sites at Lake Majourie. Only a 5 minute walk into Stresa.

the hotel was not cheap but it was a great trip. breakfast was really good and the staff were very helpful i travelled with my elderly mothere and the staff were very helpful with her

it was expensive - 6euros for a cup of cafe! it was great and the cut was heated!

In essence our stay at the Grand Hotel was wonderful. The staff were about as friendly and helpful as you could get ( although the manager at check out time must have had a bad hair day) he certainly didn't display the courtesy that others did during our stay.

there was nothing bad to be said about the hotel. we would be more than happy to recommend the hotel to friends and we would return for our next trip.

This hotel is beautifully decorated.It is on the waterfront.

The staff were poor uncaring and ignorant except for one young man the night concierge who was excellent. For a grand hotel the service is terrible! Breakfast is poor 12 mins wait for watery scrambled eggs. Creme for coffee was bad every day had to send it back and ask for cold milk.Bacon and sausages not refilled timely and left without lid so they were cold.Only breakfasat staff manager speaks english others do not understand.You can not buy anything like cigarettes here. No late food service. The internet was the worst I have experienced slow and not working frequently, vouchers good for 30 mins only. Staff is uncaring and dont tell you much you have to interrogate them as they are rather dumb and ignorant. Not enough electrical outlets and only a small table to put your laptop which is difficult for a handicapped person.Power was shut off to my jacuzzi bath tub and I had to chase them. No discount for the bad stay.This hotel has no consideration for disabled people.It is a money grab with an attitude. Should not be considered a Grand Hotel although property is stunningly beautiful. No explanation on parking and no one available to instruct you had to park and walk in to ask. This after telling them in advance I am disabled and will bring a car tomorrow. Big price for a double room which had 2 single mattressess shoved together. Lake view was mostly in front of a big tree. Ashtrays for balcony not provided so I used old cigarette packs which they did not take away.Lazy dumb ignorant low class staff.

Old World Charm and grandeur, stuffed with beautiful things, like staying in a palace. Very convenient and beautiful location. Secure parking for our valuable car. Beautiful terrace for breakfast. Easy access to Borrowmees Islands, a must see when visiting Lake Maggiore. Helpful and friendly staff.

Paying for wifi in rooms, slow wifi connection in lobby, poor swimming pool- seemed like an add on(8m long with cheap plastic type cladding and excess chlorine). Also a window shutter blind remained unfixed during our stay despite asking twice. The only solution was that they closed it permanently which affected light/view during the day but at least allowed blackout for sleeping. Also while garden rooms are beautiful and much cheaper the "garden view" is of the leisure centre buildings

Fine parking. Nice location. Cosy town. Breakfast buffet ok

Run down lousy pool area. Room with view to garden, was view to air con. fac. on roof opposite. Choose sea view- No specific smokers/non smokers rooms. Prices were quite unrealistic 16euros for french frites for dinner 8 euros a beer 6 euro for cop of coffee. Internet access in room 11euros 24 hours. Bad free internet access in the lobby.
