Overlooking Lake Maggiore, the Europa is set in the historic center of Ispra, in front of the pier for ferries to the Borromean Islands and Stresa. The hotel's lake-view restaurant features a terrace....
Score from 78 reviews Good
Featuring exclusive views of the lake and surrounding mountains, the Hotel Carillon is the only one in the area to be positioned right on the lake front. Wi-Fi is free.

baeutifull hotel comfi rooms location, location, location ;-}
food was both expenssive and not very tasety view was not to mountains but to trailer park anf some buildings.
stunning old fashion hotel, great bar and breakfast worth 25 euro. beautiful grounds, car parking easy to use. great location in the center of town, efficient room service.
Location on Largo Maggiori is wonderful, rooms are cosy and excellent value for the quality of the hotel
Breakfast is too expensive but there are nice cafes close by
Location.had stayed previously and loved it.
Staff reaction when Internet not working. Raised voice and very arrogant. Did change when came to room to check and found we were right but certainly turned us off going back. Think it a bit tired this visit.
Well, everything in this Hotel was amazing. we stayed two nights in a big room with big balcony. we really enjoyed our staying.Stuff there were friendly. this Place if you want to relax go and stay in it. A coffeeshop near as well as supermaket.
Nothing indeed. Maybe the price was higher if we compare it to the type of the room.
The location was great, situated at the lake, very relaxing. Nice view from the balcony at the mountains and lake. The rooms are a bit small, but still fairly comfortable.
-Internet facilities from the Stone Age. The hotels I normally stay in offer free wifi, here you get 2 hours for complete duration of your stay. -Lack of service outside. When sitting in the garden next to the pool there is nobody to serve. If you want an espresso or anything you have to walk through the lobby to the bar and get it yourself. Didn't expect that from a Grand hotel.
Staff & management Location was stunning. Hotel was spotless clean.
Triple room is great! Very comfortable pool and resting area.
Location, cleanliness, views, rooms, the whole hotel!
Not inclusive on breakfast...beds a little hard
Best hotel I had stayed in.
Not near shops . Unfortunately the weather was awful when we were there.
Very nice location. Good facilities including pool and gym. Nice bar and friendly staff Nice room although view at rear of hotel is not nearly as nice as the lake side
Generally expensive We had lunch shortly after our arrival in one of the hotel restaurants with tables in the gardens. The food was very disappointing and quite pricey.
Directly next to the Baveno harbour, it offers an excellent starting point to discover the treasures around and on the lake. Very helpfull and friendly couple at the ticket office, eager to assist organising tours. Well-heated swimming pool inside and also outside. Breakfast on the lake-side terrace was marvellous.
Good food at the "old horse saddlery"-restaurant, but a wine glass at Eur 6,- for 10 cl is simply aggravating. It's not so much the price, but rather the medicinal small quantity which not suitable. Therefore we only had dinner there once.
Excellent location by the lake . Our suite had a superbly located terrace with a view to kill .
Some loud activities for large groups .
location, wellness center, outdoor pool, rooms equipment
This level of hotel you expect basic amenities to be at your disposal not at an extra price such as wifi and gym
the hotel is a beautiful hotel, friendly staff, very clean close to lots places to visit and things to do,but
the beds were very, very firm I l don't mind a firm bed but these were just hard, also paying 14 euros a day parking, 25 euros p/p per day breakfast , then paying 12 euros for any facility other than swimming is excessive, a recommendation would be charge an extra 10 euro per night on the room for every one and then only charge a nominal 5 euros for sauna and gym
Loved being right by the lake and the 2 pools. Loved that the blinds made the room really dark. Super location, shiny floors, springy carpet, awesome gallery tunnel!
Food and drink bit expensive.
Size, feeling and decoration of the room. The style of the hotel and its whole ambience.
A small thing - being interrupted in the early evening by staff wanting to turn down the bed!
A beautiful hotel in a stunning location.
Extortionate room rate for the size, comfort, and equipment of rooms.
It was in a nice location would recommend getting a lake view if you can.
The staff were very abrupt and you had to pay extra for everything like wifi, using the gym and parking.
Not only the setting and service, the staff were fantastic in every aspect. My daughter had a fall and the staff were amazing going well beyond their duty to make sure she was well cared for I would go back over and over
That I had to come home
The location is unbeatable. The gardens, the facilities (pools, spa center) and the overall atmosphere of the hotel are lovely. The rooms are large, well ventilated and nicely decorated. The gallery is a nice surprise. The staff at reception desk (as well as cleaning ladies) is welcoming, efficient and professional. The same cannot be said about the waiters.
The breakfast is a rather disappointing experience in terms of quality (it would benefit from inclusion of regional products), offer and standards (the pancakes were neither French crepes, nor American pancakes but a sweet sponge cake). The fresh orange juice and fruit cakes were nice enough. For holidays, or weekends, having breakfast from 8 to 10am is a bit spartan. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the second restaurant, which unfortunately does not match the food. You will be better off trying one of the three imaginative restaurants in town.
Location, amazing building and garden throughout in very good condition, nice small but comfortable room with big wardrobes.
Very expensive everything you want to buy there. Internet is a proper rip off (eur 5 for 1 hour), breakfast is eur 25! We ordered 2 drinks and some olives one evening and got a massive plate of food (little bites). We had to send it back as I can't have any gluten and anyway had a dinner reservation somewhere but the waiter insisted to bring something for us. That was too much and made us feel uncomfortable. Orange juice eur 6 and not 100% as tasted a lot of water in it. Shame as overall a nice place.
