Central location. Was not a chain hotel and so had an intimate and personal feel as well as evoking a bygone era. The quality and service of food in Harry's Grill was excellent.

Too many American tourists!

For our 7-nights stay we were given a wonderfully comfortable and quiet room. We liked the undemonstrative elegance of the place, the staff, many of them locals, the size of the hotel.

Although the bedroom was quite large, the bathrom was too small in area of space provided to us.

I liked everything about the room especially the linen sheets and the furniture. The Hotel is beautiful and the staff were helpful. The position of the Hotel is excellent and there were lots of events in the Square which were fun. I also enjoyed the swimming pool very much.

It was a very nice hotel in the central square, right across the street from the ocean. Great for shopping or sitting in the square to have coffee and people watch, or stroll down the street along the ocean. It had a nice pool (we didn't use it) and offers a great buffet breakfast. We used it as a stopover enroute from Croatia to Venice and would definately stay there again.

We had a most enjoyable stay in this charming, classy hotel in the centre of Trieste on the magnificent Piazza Unita d'Italia. The bedroom was the quietest we have experienced in Europe with old world decor, comfortable matress and clean, crisp linen. The reception staff were most helpful and friendly and kept our luggage behind the desk along with 2 robes so we could use the pool again after we had checked out. The indoor pool and spa were quite unique (Roman mosaic baths theme) and a perfect escape from 34 degree temperatures outside. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and eating outside with the view of the square and the sea was a real treat. All in all we couldn't have asked for more and can't wait to go back again.

A bit of everything, the hotel, service and food are all high standard but not the outstanding luxury that you would expect in a hotel of this category. However it is a very special hotel which I would recommend.
