Nice, helpful personnel, hotel is situated just at the main square of the city. Wellness part is very unique like a roman bath, exclusively for the hotel guests. Comfortable rooms, wide variety of breakfast items, until 10.30!

The location is fantastic, and so is the view from the windows, overlooking Piazza del'Unità. The environment is cozy, feels like home (a very nice home, mind you)

If I may, the time to wait for the car to come back from the garage is too long (over 30 min, once 45)

the location is perfect, and there is an old world confidence about the way the hotel is run.

the very attractive spa had a hammam and sauna that were both seemingly switched off on both days, and the staff member sent to investigate said that was as intended. A shame, since the facility is beautifully designed.

The hotel is a really jewel located on one of the most beautiful squares in Europe - the largest square facing the sea. The Roman bath and swimming pool is a fantastic amenity, perfect for relaxation of a long weekend.

I liked the hotel's central location, the nice atmosphere.The hotel staff was very helpful, the breakfast and other meals were excellent.

The spa area is small for the amount of guests. The Turkish steam bath was functioning only partially. There is no proper storage place for personal belongings of the guests,so they are forced to put them on the 2 beds which should serve for rest after sauna.

Junior Suite was too compact, not spacious enough.

The hotel was cery charming and the desk staff could not have been any more helpful to me in my brief visit to Trieste. The location is superb -- short walking distance to the Trieste train/bus stations and right on one of the most magnificent piazzas in Europe ..Piazza' Unite d'Italia

our bedroom was not v big, quite cramped and same with the bathroom.there was no tea/coffee making facility in our room - that was a big issue for me.

Grandeur and elegant. Buffet breakfast was excellent. An excellent location for catching the Costa Cruise ship. Easz to reach from Venice, also.

The staff is very friendly, and the position is great. To have breakfast in Piazza Unità d'Italia is a privilege. The room wasn't very big, but comfortable and cozy. The structure is very well maintained.

Not so easy to park the car, but this is something quite common in Trieste

Wonderful. One of my best hotel experiences ever and having stayed in hotels in over 30 countries worldwide I have stayed at hotels ranging from 1 to 5 stars. It is a hotel that has an exceptional reputation amongst people from Trieste. When I return to Trieste I will definitely stay here if it is available for a similar price (I paid 120 Euros a night). Pros: * Excellent value for money. * Great location on Piazza Unita' which is very central. Take breakfast on the piazza and watch the world go by. * Lovely decor. Solid wood, brass, paintings, inlaid panels, * Peace and Quiet. You won't be woken by other guests dragging their luggage around, by cars or scooters outside or by anyone actually. I think I heard the people next door once but I can't be sure. Having stayed at many Italian hotels this is very rare! * Amazing underground swimming pool and sauna/rasul/jacuzzi, all done in Roman mosaic style * Owned by a family who take lots of pride in the hotel and friendly staff (for the most part) * Lots of nice little touches, like the heated mirror in the bathroom, the multi-function shower, the painting in the room and the lovely bed and sheets.

Cons: * The style will not appeal to people wanting a modern hotel. It is old-fashioned elegance and quality, so if you want minimalism this is not for you.
