Staff, facilities, location were all exceptional.
I had to leave!
Location, decoration and friendly staff
In Thermarium Magnum; though seems to provide so many services, a) couldn't use them cause either weren't working or didn't know how to function them and b) no staff was there to assist
The Location is one of the best in Trieste, no doubt
I find it very disappointing that either the pool and the Sauna facilities were "closed due to repair works" (?!). No excuse, just the Information (in a quite strange tone). These facilities were - besides the excellent location - the reason why I booked at this hotel. Could it be that they just wanted to save the money due to the low number of guests??
Friendly staff, unforgettable location, beautiful architecture and interiors, like a faded world.
Single rooms just a bit dark.
Staff great; nice breakfast
temperature in the bedroom (way too hot!)
location, style, breakfast
A gym (or at least a couple of 16kg kettle bells would make it 100%)
No view of the Piazza from any window in my Junior Suite; The Jacuzzi in the bathroom did not work & the tub did not drain. Further, the Staff was only minimally helpful.
Great position in the Square at Trieste, easy access to restaurants and sights. Front of counter friendly.
Parking in public area expensive.
An atmospheric turn-of-the-century building right on the main Piazza dell’Untia’ d’Italia in the centre of town and only a 10 minute walk from the railway station. Everything was highly polished and comfortable; perhaps the main clientele is of the more mature kind as there seemed to be a number of emergency alarms in the bedroom and bathroom – nothing to complain about but slightly unnerving. A photograph of the Piazza as a welcoming gift is a nice idea. Harry’s Café which operates as both restaurant and breakfast room is a lovely space which extends in summer onto the pavement outside. I had no wifi problems.
The hotel is situated on a beautiful city square. Good evening meal.
Very small rooms for a top money hotel. "Harry's Bar" looks great but is not a bar mainly a breakfast room and evening restaurant. While eating outside we watched the staff wind in the roof shelter as it started to rain spoiling the last course.
Wonderful location. Wonderful staff at front desk and at breakfast.
the old world charm of a heavy heritage and the genuine antiques gave my stay a sence of pure luxury. The staff were attentive and polite, efficient and discrete.
Why have a huge bathroom and such a tiny shower space? no coffee/tea facilities, wifi worked sporatically, i was the youngest client in the hotel.
Location terrific in the central square of this dynamic and lively city.Staff polite, helpful. Breakfast very fine.
Junior suite a misnomer:this is in reality a large room. Old fashioned furnishings.
Brilliant location. Staff very helpful. Bedrooms lovely. Pool area relaxing. Highly recommend
Wifi could've been better
Excellent location. Kindly staff.
As far as Trieste is concerned, the Hotel Duchi d'Aosta is in position A on one of the largest, and finest piazzas in Italy. Trieste has no beaches but the hotel's splendid underground swimming pool and health complex more than makes up for that. I should also mention the splendid and v.helpful desk staff.
Just a language thing - it was occasionally difficult (in English) when drinking or eating, to get what one thought had been ordered.
Just about everything. The situation, the reception, the style. Standard room very comfortable and well sound proofed. Would certainly stay again.
Having to pay 23 euros a day for the car parking and having to wait 30 - 40 minutes when you want to leave with your car. Breakfast service so rapid you don't have time to finish your plate before it's whisked away.
This hotel made for a luxury holiday. The staff were helpful, polite and made an effort to treat us as familiar visitors making our stay special. The room which overlooked the Piazza was amazing, clean with a feeling of grandeur, with a feeling of true privacy. The location is in the heart of Trieste close to shops, cafés and restaurants many on the waterfront meant that we were able to amble about choosing where to dine. Train station, bus stops and taxi ranks are within walking distance making getting around easy. The entertainment within the piazza of which we made the most of made for a great holiday. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant is amazing and we found ourself having lazy mornings in the hotels restaurant which made us feel like a Queen and King with silver service and delightful asthetics , and the food was to die for, wonderful choices and of the highest quality, I have never enjoyed breakfast as much as the breakfasts at this Hotel. We loved every thing about this hotel, and would recommended it highly.
The pool area is amazing, clean elegant and has great amenities but it felt a little clostraphobic.
The location is superb - the hotel overlooks one of the most beautiful squares In Europe, we were given a warm welcome, room service is fast and cheerful, and the hotel offers affordable luxury. The bedroom was small, but very comfortable and well equipped.
Parking is a problem - we got lucky - and the hotel does charge a lot for valet parking.
Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, the spa is great!
we had a suite but the "common" space was really just a hallway, the pool is lovely but not family friendly.
The rooms are very very clean, nice and comfortable. Breakfast in the Harris Bar in the Piazza l'Unita' is superb.
I was unable to plug to the WiFi and I gave up as I have a 3G connection.
