Grand Hotel Europa Palace    

By far first and foremost the view, then the grand old high ceilings floors, furniture and fixtures. Lovely pool and pier into the Med for sunning and swimming. Nice staff.

The food and the hard pillows.

Stunning views from our room and from the breakfast, dining room and terraces. Lovely pool and sea swimming area. Fabulous location for shopping and restaurants. Close to ferry and hydrofoil docks. Great to be able to get paying public lift. Reception, dining and cleaning staff all very friendly and helpful.

WiFi expensive. The need to log in all the time.

Location is stunning, view is amazing, breakfast was great, hotel is quite lovely in the communal areas

We were a bit disappointed with the room. It was a bit tired but the real problem was that the shower head didn't work, we told the reception and she said "yeah. she knows"! Sorry you sell the room and know you can't shower properly, not very 4 star!

Stunning location, central for shopping and eating but magnificent views all around. The hotel was elegant and friendly and very comfortable. It was also spacious

We liked everything but improvements could be made to lighting in rooms - reading was difficult at night - and more electricity outlets please and in convenient locations for mobile phone and camera charging etc

Stairs to lower suites are a bit tough-no elevator to these rooms-standard rooms have elevator.

Beautiful terrace overlooking breath-taking panoramic view over Bay of Naples. Grand marbled interior spaces for dining, lounge and bar. Spacious bathroom, towel change and maid service twice a day. Well run hotel with efficent, helpful, considerate and courteous staff with excellent friendly bar service from Antoino

The pool is set under the terrace and whilst still bright and warm around the poolside the water is not heated by the sun and was not heated by other means. It was therefore too cold to use other than by the very hardy and even they did not brave it for long. This was disappointing as it would have been lovely to swim in such a lovely location.

Staff were friendly, hotel was clean and tidy but the best thing was the location, 5 mins walk from the bus/train station and 5 mins into sorrento town centre, 10 mins walk down to the boats for day trips to Capri, I would highly recommend this hotel to others and should we ever visit sorrento again we would stay at this hotel. If you can stay in a room with a sea view I would highly recommend this option. Breakfast was great, fresh and plenty to choose from.

There wasn't much to dislike, however if you had a room on the front of the hotel this could be very noise as there is a main road and Italians do like to use there horns however this road is fairly quiet at night.

Really classy Hotel.Incredible views from terraces over sea and Versuvius.Rooms a little dated,but comfortable and clean.As far as location goes,couldn't really do better.Minutes from square.The main thing we were impressed with was the staff,reception were on the ball,but a special mention to Antonio the Barman for his local knowledge and pleasing personality.

No nothing,had a great time.Only spoilt by very noisy people in the room next door.Some people have no respect for others.

The staff were unfriendly and did not make our stay enjoyable. I asked if they could post some postcards for me and they very bluntly told me the postoffice was not far away.

Beautiful terrace overlooking the coast and the Med. Breakfast was very nice and the views excellent. Well furnished with beautiful antiques and grand furniture. Staff very helpful. Location not far and it's the best at this mid-price range.

Room slightly small and maybe not suitable for people who want to stay in the room for long periods. But they do offer bigger rooms with a view at a higher price.

It was our 3rd time in Europa Palace and the 4th in Sorrento and we loved it as always. The location is the best in Sorrento 5min. Walking distance from the train/bus Station and City Centre. The Jetty in the beach is the best in Sorrento, where we can enjoy the sun and the water of the sea always superb (24º/26º), always with the good service from Vicenzo and António there, that will take you to the chairs with the towels! The Rooms are big and we always stay on the rooms that are on the side of the road and don´t find it noisy! For us is the best hotel in Sorrento,The place to relax and enjoy!

The only down thing that we think hotel could change is the closing time of breakfast, at 10:10 they start removing the food, and at 10:30 everything is already removed.

Fabulous location. with stunning views over the the Bay of Naples right to Capri on one side and Vesuvius straight ahead, truly magnificent panorama. Hotel impressive from outside but tired and outdated inside. rooms ok, bit shabby in parts,, cupboard doors chipped and damaged bathrooms ok with a wierd shower glass, rather ineffective. Breakfast very mediocre, watered down juice, awful canned fruit ( my choice on one day was clearly off ) and awful accompaniments to scrambled eggs ( I think they were viennas....terrible) Staff are rather indifferent, our welcome, was luke warm, agreed it was a busy saturday night but no excuse. and parking was a huge issue until we really had no other option, all parking garages were full so an hour later were allowed to park on the grounds. It is a pity that things arent improved as the location is out of this world, so convenenient to everything and with outstanding vistas.

Tolite not working properly during our stay which i thought for this quality of hotel should not happen. The air con was noisie although ness. but kept us from sleeping. The garden view was a few trees down below certainly not a garden. I felt we should have been allowed for these describies but all in all our stay was very good. I could have got this cheaper with a travel agent. W Brodison

The location;views from the terrace were breathtaking, proximity to town, easy access to public transport. The terrace and pool area were attractive and well laid out,

Dated bathroom with tiny shower; difficult to regulate water temperature in shower with risk of being scalded. Extremely difficult to get any service in bar or on terrace.

We had an oceanview room with a tiny balcony. We would cram ourselves out on the patio and enjoy the boats going in and out of the harbor and peering over to Mt. Visuvius. Loved lounging on the dock and taking swims, they have a nice little bar out there as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Room , especially the bathrooms, could use some updating.

Inaccessible areas in the evening due to weddings - basically hotel is bed and breakfast if the weather is too poor to use the pool

Well located, nice grounds with balcony overlooking bay of naples, large drawing rooms, swimming pool and beach area. Rooms are just about ok.

Opulance!

Despite the opulance, the price was a still little steep.
