Friendly reception and staff
Old facilities and appearence
Very bad location, not served by metro, obly busses that's not very reliable or organized, and going only to vatican or termini. The wifi is a total disaster, you need to sign in every single time with a new username and password that you take from the reception, everytime, and still on
New fitness machines
After effects of breakfast.
The hotel is very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Far from downtown, but next to a bus station.
The wifi system didn't work very well. The connection was slow and expired every day. Also, not all the staff could speak english, even in the reception.
For our second booking at this hotel we requested to stay on the top floor. The room was awesome, no noise and we could sleep. My tip would be for you to make sure you get a room on the top floor. Also request a room with a spa bath - these rooms are much bigger.
We had two bookings with this hotel. For the first booking they gave us a room on the 4th floor. We stayed for five nights and could not sleep on any of the nights. A group of teenagers were booked in on the same floor and they made a terrible noise.
- cleanliness of the room - the fact that they cleaned the room every day, even if we didn't tell them to do so - the very effective heater in the room (when we were there it was cold and it was great having it) - many sweets for dessert
- the WiFi because you had to get a password each day from reception and they were giving the same password to multiple persons and as a result you were very often disconnected - some of the reception stuff had no idea about the things possible in the hotel (e.g. I wanted to pay for breakfast at the reception in order to get it on the checkout bill, instead of paying cash in the breakfast area); I had to explain this to some of them every morning... - poor transport options for reaching the city center (there's only one bus - no 32 - that's 3 min walking from the hotel, but it comes about every 20 - 25 minutes)
Really great breakfast and nice to be able to go to the gym. Wifi a bit unstable compared to other hotels in Rome. However, worth the money. Be aware that the city tax is +6€ per person. Still very cheap and worth it.
The receptionists didn't even greet us when we arrived. We just had to wait in front of the reception for a couple of minutes until they were done with whatever they were doing on their computers. They could at least say "Welcome. Please wait a moment."
I have to say that there was one exception, one man was very friendly (and one girl).
All the other staff were unfriendly and not helpful at all. The first night, I got a room in which the heating could not be turned off (and it was on max. power). The technician came, spoke no English at all, signed to me he fixed it but nothing was happening. On top of that, from the bathroom came a constant noise (ventilation) so I could not sleep at all. Next day I got a new room (very small, no bath etc.), staff promised to change my luggage while I was gone. When I came back later that night, the luggage was not in my new room. Guy at the reception said he had no clue where it was. I had to inform him it was probably in the old room. He forced me to go up and wake up random people as he wouldn't do it. All my luggage (incl. laptop) was left in a room with strangers. Next day, I told who I think was the manager. No excuse, nothing, 'you got it back now, so what's the problem'. Never seen this before, not even in cheap hostels that I often visit.
The staff, the breakfast, the comfort; very god value for money. Many thanks
Everything was just fine.
A little bit far from the city center.
The room was normal size, tidy and had everything you would expect in a hotel: TV, fridge, hair dryer, air-con, safe, etc. Wifi was working well but had to ask for a new access code every 24h (free of charge). Staff were okay but one of them could not understand a request for an iron and ironing board.
The restaurant is very poor. The selection of food is horribly limited. Coffee, juices, cakes etc are the cheap kind. It seemed the staff were not keen on making sure there was a good selection of food until the end of breakfast time. Once stuff such as yoghurt or croissants was out - they would not refresh it. So if you came later than most, you'd end up having the remains rather than enjoying the full selection available at the beginning. Dinner was no better. Paid 40 euros for two but had an average experience to say the least.
Senior staff are not always willing to assist. I was always assited by junior staff whever I needed help. Breakfast was the same for all the days that I stayed the. It was easy to predict.
Breakfast, staff, room :)
If you're just walking, this location is little bit far from the centre of Rome, nevertheless, it's worthy!
The room are spacious, The reception staff are willing to assist
The house keeping staff forgot to put bath soap in my room for two days. the breakfast menu remained the same ......can be abit boring l
2 days without wi-fi
Room is a comfortable for single traveler
Bath room is too small
staff and location was good
we requested a double bed we got two single beds put together and in the night the beds kept going apart
The room was good, with good cleaness.
When I wanted to contract the internet service (6euro / 24 h), I was told to wait because there was too high demand at the moment...
I was traveling with my young children and reserved two rooms to be next to each other but unfortunately they didn't care about it and were not helpful at all. the hotel had a strange policy that I didn't see in other hotels in Rome. They used to turn off ac from 11pm till 6 am and again from 730am till 6 pm weather was really hot and couldn't sleep well in at night
Employees are not kind at all. The hotel is organized for Tour Groups. Air conditioning works only certain hours a day. When you add parking, WiFi and breakfast costs, you end up paying at least 50% more. It is far from historic places. You have to take bus and metro.
Peaceful breakfast lounge on ground floor with excellent service. Previous visits to this hotel were disappointing at breakfast when there were tours as guests stripped the buffet for take away lunch. The lounge on the ground floor was a great find.
Confusion at arrival and departure of bus tours
The room is newly renovated. Breakfast simple but just nice.
Room small, no iron facilities, lack of english channels, pillow smell showing not change, have to use spare one. Lift small.
The worst place we ve ever been. They re charging for wifi 6e. Staff very rude. We could sleep all night because wentylation above our room. We called to them few times but they did nothing:/ quality very poor. I don't know how they could get 4 stars ( maybe 30 years ago). I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone.
Fairly large hotel considerably far away from the city center, with insufficient public transportation. The hotel is suitable for large organised groups, rather than for individual travellers
The AC did not work and thy say u can leav u dont like it will do nothing
