Situation on the lake itself and the heated swimming pool was lovely, watching the boats come and go as very near ferry stop. All rooms with a good view over lake if chosen lake view. Have a fridge in room but no kettle Breakfast was ok and pleased it was inclusive however always the same scrabbled egg and bacon, no orange juice, no fresh fruit as such just large apples and oranges so why no orange juice? Expensive meal in the evening for what it was - no general bistro type of meal so hence eat out on most nights - feel as though did not make the most of their outdoor patio for dinner which was a pity recommendations for future with the above mentioned so at least people they know

GReat location for Lake Como visit. Does not get better. Great view from laske side room. Very small rooms, run down and poor bathrooms.

Splendid location and good all round facilites Not as luxurious as our previous hotel despite it being more expensive. Breakfast was uninspiring.

Excellent location on Lake Como. A la carte restaurant was exceptional.Staff were friendly and efficient Too many coach parties of old aged English people ruined the atmosphere of the hotel

The location is very good, but the hotel is very tired and carpet in lifts dirty and not cleaned. The beds are very hard and staff are rude unless to tip them first and then they will help. Would not recommend.

It is a nice hotel but rather expensive for what you pay. It is not so 'Grand'. It is clean and comfortable but for £260 a night to not have a shower curtain in the bath, which means that for a week you have to sit in the bath to shower is poor.The gym is 4 out of 10 and needs a major upgrade for a 'Grand' hotel. £9 for a beer and an orange juice is too expensive for poolside. Ok in a club at night! Very noisy, live music bar next to the hotel at the weekend made it diffcult to get to sleep. Beautifult views if you book a lake view room. More balconies would have made it better.

Excellent service minded personell and relaxing atmosphare, easy communicantion (English), good choice / selection of set dinners, and good selections of wines, also the breakfast was outstanding. We did have a dog accompaning. This is a hotel, easy to recommend and to return to, although we do have a beautiful house in Trevignano Romano, Lazio. Our room and bathroom was a bit run down.

The location was fantastic! Right on the lake! The view from our room was spectacular. Would recommend staying in Menaggio or Bellagio as they have the most restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel was right next door to the ferry which we used every day. There are lots of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommend La Traittoria, down the alley next to Tourist Information. The room was very small and in the bathroom you almost had to turn sideways to move around! The beds were very small and quite hard and the air conditioning barely worked, luckily it wasn't too hot but we needed it on and it really didn't cool the room. Luckily we spent no time in the room other than sleeping.

A wonderful poistion and newly renovated. They tried to charge full price for young children to eat the table d'hote menu.

The location of the hotel was superb. Good heated outdoor swimming pool. Al fresco breakfast. Balcony attached to bedroom overlooking the lake. Plenty of comfortable outside seating. Service was very good. The lake ferry station was adjacent. The day trip programme for each day was excellent and the guide very good on the St. Moritz trip. Staff throughout were excellent, friendly and responsive at all levels. Food was quite good but too expensive. The cost of Transfers to and from Milan(Malpensa)airport arranged by the hotel were exhorbitant (190 and 150 euros). The en-suite bathroom was dingy and dark(room 106). Only 1 dim light bulb. The jacuzzi is an outdated 'luxury'. We would have preferred a decent shower. More could have been made of the balcony: two metal upright chairs and a table were not good enough. The toast machine at breakfast was hopeless. The last update of this hotel was in the 80s; it is due another one. Bottled mineral water should be made available daily in the room.

The views and convenience to the ferry stop. The concierge (Aramis) and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly (in fact more so than the front desk staff). Hotel had recommended catching the c10 bus from Lake Como train station however the bus service is not very frequent and is very busy with no space for luggage. We had to wait for 3 buses (over an hour and a half wait) and still the buses were too full to get on. - In the end we had to catch a taxi. Recommend that hotel warns its guests that the C10 bus is not conduicive for those travelling with quite large luggage and that it is not that frequent.

“The hotel staff were welcoming, patient and helpful at all times. The room was excellent and the view from the balcony was spectacular, i cannot fault this hotel at all. Bedding was changed and the room cleaned every day to a high standard.
