Opholdet på hotellet var dejligt, personalet venlige og servicemindede. Beliggenheden er superb, ned til søen, bjergene i baggrunden, mulighed for vidunderlige køreture omkring søen, dejlige spisesteder, fornuftige shoppingmuligheder, så alt i alt et sted vi gerne kommer tilbage til. Forbedringeforslag: Der er ikke nok liggestole ved poolen til alle gæster. Mange gæster"reserverer" stole fra morgenstunden og bruger dem først sidst på eftermiddagen, så andre gæster ikke har mulighed. Hotellet kunne med fordel sørge for at stole, der ikke anvendes i ex. 1 time kan anvendes af andre. |

Hotellet har en særlig atmosfære med hyggelige fællesområder og en fremragende beliggenhed med pool helt ud til søen. Personalet er meget venlig og yder en glimrende service. Internetforbindelsen kan med fordel udvides til værelserne og være en kraftigere linie ud. |

they did not have a room for us for the first night and we had to stay in their sister hotel and move the next day which was very disappointing because we made the reservation a long time before we got there |

location and services when we checked in with two other couples, using a reservation made months ago, we were informed that they only had one room that first night and two couples would have to stay down the street. We then had to move all our stuff back to this hotel for the remaining 3 nights of our stay. |

In the first place the room that we were given was on the first floor, overlooking the "beautifull" view of the tarace at the back of the hotel, with a broken door and terribly decorated. Room 131... stay away. After our complaints we were given another room on the 3rd floor, really decent. However still the rooms that are not on the lake are overvalued and expensive. Last but not least, the breakfast for that money was average... and I am not English!!!!! Have to say that if you afford a room with lake view, this hotel could be an excellent place for travelling around lake Como |

Superb position, nice rooms but first offered had a great view of a tin roof.Changed without much hassle. Let down by the food. A la carte very indifferent and breakfast pretty ordinary. Bell hops excellent, especially Aramis. |

the area is beautiflul.appreciated the quietness. our room faced the parking lot. when requested to move to one overlooking the lake we were told they were full. this was not true. there were at least 6 rooms facing the lake that were dark,and we could tell nobody was staying in those rooms..... |

The hotel is ideally situated with a good lakeside terrace and pool. Noise from air conditioning and on some nights noise from local bar.A la carte too expensive; hotel needs to offer simple reasonably priced food.Found only one good restaurant in Menaggio. |

The hotel is nice for a 1night stay, the breakfast was quite good. The atmosphere of the hotel is very 17th century which we liked! There was no minibar in the room, the pool is dirty! and you cant swim in the lake as it´s due to the nearby harbour.. |

Our room had a balcony with the most amazing views of the lake and mountains, it was breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this hotel. |

The local cheese! It was dreary! Poor lighting in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Bleak and unattractive decor in bedrooms. Public rooms not bad! I was shown 4 different "Superior" rooms. All were unattractive dismally furnished and decorated. We had a room with 13 steep and narrow steps between bed area and bathroom, quite dangerous for elderly people. |

The location of the hotel right on the shore of Lake Como is fantastic. The staff spoke English which helped and the hotel itself is well maintained and equipped for Eurean standards. The town of Menaggio is beautiful. Very poor lighting in the bathroom and no exhaust fan. There was no choice of pillows and the ones provided were not adequate. As with most European hotels, there were no tea making or ironing facilities. |

Hotel, in general was great. Very close to the boat dock, so very convenient. We used the whirlpool tub which emitted all sorts of black debris. When we called to complain, they sent a maid up to clean it very quickly,but that doesnsn't remedy the underlying problem. |

Superbly beautiful location, and excellent facilities. Wonderful place to stay for a few days. Loved the ferry boats; easy transit across lake to Varenna and Bellaggio, if desired. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our visit there was a great delight. |

Great location at Lago di Como. Spotless clean. Room with view of lake and mountains excellent. Fabulous shower. Easy walk to quaint village center. Good boat trips and ferry connections which are needed to get to Varenna railway station. We were pleasantly surprised and definitely recommend the hotel. breakfast coffee and tea water were always only tepid otherwise breakfast was fine especially the excellent cheeses |

This is a comfortable hotel located in an excellent position with very good access to the ferry and other lakeside towns. The hotel would do well to modernise its service style which is extremely arcane. Also the meals offered from its restaurant are truly appalling and amongst the worst we have experienced in international travel. |
