In one of Rome's upscale areas, the Aldrovandi Villa Borghese features a large private garden, a swimming pool and poolside restaurant. The rooms are luxurious and individually decorated.
Score from 375 reviews Excellent
The Twentyone is a modern boutique hotel on Via Cola di Rienzo, one of Rome's best shopping streets. Castel Sant'Angelo and the historic center are just a pleasant 10-minute walk away.
Score from 1540 reviews Very good
Surrounded by its large Mediterranean gardens, Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts offers views of Rome and the Vatican from its hilltop position in Montemario.

Alexandra is a 3-star superior hotel on Rome's exclusive Via Veneto. Located just 165 ft from Barberini Metro Station, it offers a gazebo restaurant out on this famous street.
Score from 862 reviews Very good
II stayed there for a night and the room service visited twice daily, bed was perfectly comfortable. And of course dont forget to visit the spa for free and enjoy all the amenities
If yo will visit the cap take a swimming cap with you since its mandatory, although you can get for 5 euro. I would like to have some coffee, tea and water boiler in the room and a complimentary botltle of water. Something that will surely add up to the hotel's excellent experience.
The bed was really nice. Room cleaning - also good. SPA is also great except the fact that they charge you extra 5 euros for swimming cap. In 5 star hotel... with room rate above 250 euro they charge 5 euros for swimming cap...
Air conditioning was not working. It was ok at night if you open the balcony but if you want to have a small sleep during the day - it is really hot. Breakfast. In 5 stars you except more.. No problem with cold dishes, but no porridge or waffles or pancakes. Only eggs, chicken sausages (bad taste) and grilled vegetables. No iron available.. They asked 10euros to iron 1 shirt... Location - on one hand - just next to Villa Borghese. On the other - really far from main sights! The block of the amount on the card - when I arrived the hotel confirmed that 250 euros were just blocked. During check out I made the full payment. so it took 1 month to unblock 250 euros!! DESPITE 2 emails I sent. So, in general when I decide too stay in 4-5 stars hotel, I'll choose another one.. I will survive without SPA in beautiful Rome...
Decor Rooms Spa Lobby Some reception staff and bar tenders
Some of the reception and doormen were snobby
I like the fact it is a like resort setting in the middle of Rome. I love the fitness centre and spa. Rooms are great, staff helpful. It is nice place to be back after a long day of walking, visiting sites etc..
I do not like the restaurant inside the Hotel. I can not believe they could have that quality food in a place like Italy, Rome 5star hotel in fact second time around we did not even consider it at all. But there is a restaurant near locals go to called I think " Zucca di Fiori" which is excellent.
Hotel location is walking distance to fine resturants, The Borghese and Via Venito. Hotel staff is superior to all others. Conceriege hadled my rental car return, laundry and set up a private tour. all within of 2 hrs of our check in.
It is overall a beautiful hotel with old Italian style and flair and excellent comfort.
There is no metro station in the area, but a tram, which makes it possible to reach the metro network, although on weekends the tram frequency is quite low.
They care about their guests. The rooms were old style plush but with the most modern conveniences. The spa was amazing.
No coffee service.
The room (and especially bed) was fine, the SPA is nice as well. Breakfast is definitely good.
The location, too far from the subway. Decoration of the room and the whole hotel is not so nice...
The hotel is beautiful, ornate & luxurious. The outdoor pool & facilities are excellent ,the spa is fantastic. The staff are helpful ,breakfast wonderful.
Our room was not as expected, the view disappointing,it was noisy & as the hotel was full it was not possible to be moved,so our dream trip was not as perfect as we would have wished.
Wifi is terrible, hard to connect in the room. Restaurant 's taste is worse
Large beautiful Room, excellent bed and pillows, wi fi, breakfast, day spa, cleanliness, facilities were incredible, staff were friendly and helpful.
Location was further out than thought. 10 euro taxi each way. There is a tram not far and if time walk through gardens but just a bit too far out.
Breakfast is multichoice and delicious. Dinner is as cordon bleu as it gets in luxurious surroundings. The Cafe by the outdoor pool provides light dishes, snacks and drinks. The indoor pool and Spa are very inviting. All staff seem to speak English.
1) Nice outside pool 2) Beautiful common parts with antique touch 3) Inside swimming pool and spa area is quite large and has a lot of different pools 4) A very nice park is just round the corner. Visit zoo there
1) Location is far from the city center. No any cafes, restaurants or grocery stores around 2) 5 euros for a compulsory swimming cup in the indoor swimming pool. Seriously? 3) Breakfast is quite expensive. And was not told that my extended stay is included breakfast
Professional staff, elegant room, breakfast was delicious, spa was amazing. Although on a diccount, but the price was very good for the experience that you get.
You have to obligatory buy a bathing cap at the spa in 5 star hotel? Really!? Also some russian guests ruined my stay at the outside pool with their shouting. Which was also closed at next morning.
We loved our balcony with views on Villa Borghese and the St Peter! Great hotel.
Five Star Hotel with a great pool and garden area, beautifully located near Villa Borghese and the park Very good service, great beds Impressive, very new SPA area
Room doors closing mechanism noisy, furniture a bit run down Breakfast buffet is four star quality, not five star
The pool is the best in Rome! Staff could not be nicer or more solicitous. Loved being in Rome, but felt like I was in Capri.
Reception staff were very helpful and check in was easy. Beds were very comfortable and the pool was great to come back to after sightseeing.
The location was okay but wish there were more bars/restaurants nearby. Breakfast choice was very average and not enough staff to help with requests.
A beautiful, large park is located between the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions of Rome, and the hotel. For an active person like me, the 20 minute walk through the park was relaxing before touring the city (there are buses you can take if you prefer). The hotel has a beautiful swimming area to relax after a busy day and provides an excellent breakfast buffet with many choices.
My room was comfortable however there were plumbing problems and my basin in the bathroom filled up with water. The staff were friendly enough, however for a 5 star hotel, I expect much more 'service with a smile' and to be made to feel much more comfortable. Wifi is only available in the building. It would be much better if you could connect in the swimming pool area.
Location - just outside city walls so a 20 min walk to the metro - although there is a shuttle bus from the hotel (one way only - into Rome not back again)
Hotel is nice place to stay for a vacation and for a relaxation. It is out of the city center, near very nice park and hotel itself offering a facilities like out/indoor pools and spa so that you can choose to stay at almost resort aria or to go to city centar, 15min drive
The staff is quite unkind and on the line to rude! Receptionist/concierge gave us info about the working hours of some sites which was incorrect, offered us an agency with poor qulity for the tours etc... It was only one lady who was really kind and effective. The English is quite a problem in comunication, there is a lot of staff who are not good at English, actually don't speak/understand at all. The wi-fi doesn't work properly.
When I bought the package I wanted two things. The first was the view of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica and the Borghese park. The second was to provide my wife happy and peaceful days. On the third day of stay was a party in the pool area, the noise in the room was unbearable and we could not sleep. I went down to the hotel reception to make a complaint to which I was instructed to do in writing. So I did, delivering the morning. On this day we left early to meet our commitments. As we return to night room keys did not work. Throughout the period of stay perceive preventive maintenance, camareria, spare glasses and towels, etc ... Two other parties occurred in the pool area and for this reason they moved us to another room where it was not possible to see the dome of Basilica of St. Peter. Other incidents occurred, though what upset us most was a night in which a maid opened the door to our room and my wife and I were just naked. You sold me a product that I and my wife have not received. Request action. grateful
Location, food, sauna, pool. Linen and towel room service fast and efficient.
Bathroom had staining in floor marble around toilet and sink. Bath sink had no water pressure. Bath & shower restrictive.
