The location is excellent and could not be faulted. Good facilities as well. The staff were very friendly, particularly the guy that worked on the sun deck at the bottom of the cliff. The breakfast was very good, although there was a guy cooking fresh omelettes outside on the breakfast terrace. It's as shame that pancakes weren't on offer as well instead of just omelettes.
I think we obviously had one of the worst situated rooms in the hotel, so so although this opened out onto a side garden, we could only mainly see like a wall from our bedroom.
Hotel was great staff excellent and the room was very clean great location overall excellent
Could do with more power points had to charge my phone in the bathroom and maybe tea and coffee making facilities
Can't fault it at all! Giovanni, the concierge couldnt do enough for us. We went out until 5am and came back to our key ready waiting for us!
Beautiful setting overlooking the sea and Vesuvius. Great location 10 mins walk from town. Bathing platform overlooking crystal clear water, with drinks and food served all day. Very clean and staff generally very helpful.
The restaurant seems to be stuck in the seventies. Although we only ate there one night and tastes are subjective we didn't like the food at all and it was very expensive. In addition the head waiter, Luigi, made us feel uncomfortable when we only ordered a main meal each (skipping starters). And when we questioned the food (I ordered 'suckling pig' from the a-la-carte menu and was served 2 small pork loins with fried potato balls) he became agitated and flippant, claiming that we should have ordered from the normal menu ! Such a shame as the hotel in general is a real gem.
This is a magnificent luxury hotel right above the cliffs of Sorrento. It's located at the quieter end of town, away from Tasso Piazza, but just a few minutes away by walking. Our room was more luxurious than expected... A large king bed, lovely veranda with two chairs, and a view of Naples Bay to die for! We will definitely return to this friendly, lovely place!
I can't think of anything negative. It was our favorite hotel in all of our stays.
The view and deck and awesome. Free breakfast on the terrace was phenomenal.
My wife and I found the two twin beds placed next to each other to form a king bed annoying as we would start to slip through the crack in the middle of the night since the beds move super easily. The dinner at the hotel is also reall expensive for what you get in my opinion.
Given a room with 2 aspect balcony. Great breakfast, helpful staff
No blind in bathroom window. Only socket to use was in the bathroom. Air con didn't work at night after Oct 1st
We stayed 3 nights in 308 with balcony & view. Wow! We loved this hotel.the parking was easy, the staff were friendly and spoke English well. Our room was amazing and we loved the views of the bay. The "beach" was fantastic with plenty of lounges and swimming off the deck in the sea. The pool looked lovely however we only went to the beach. Restaurant was good & breakfast had lots to choose from and delicious. The staff made us so welcome & we had fun chatting to them in the bar where we spent some time. Walk into sorrento town square was easy 10-15 min stroll and flat! Hotel was quiet and we would highly recommend it.
Cleanliness, view, friendly and helpful staff, ambience of the hotel
The Concierge, Gianni, was excellent, and his off-sider Carlos was also very kind and helpful. The staff were very good in the Restaurant, especially Michael, and the Cleaning Staff were very good also. The position, location and views were beautiful, as were all the dining and sitting areas. Our room was large and well appointed, but the atmosphere was very cold, damp and closed in and caused me to develop Bronchiolitis.
Room was built into the cliff and very cold, even in August, as it did not see the sun. Food was average, although plentiful. The Hotel charged us half the rate (E161) for the last night of 10 nights, even though we notified them on our arrival of the need for our earlier departure, giving them 9 days notice, and even though there was another couple wanting to stay on longer and waiting for the room!
The staff, service and accommodation were excellent.
The trips organised through the hotel were very poor value for money and no redress is available. You can organise visiting the sites quite easily yourself because the "escorts" are not worth the extra money as they add no value to your experience.
setting and hotel clean and staff very helpfull
room a liitle bit too small for the money
Amazing view Hotel upgraded our room Great private beach Friendly and attentive staff Quiet
The location and view from our room was wonderful. The decks out on the ocean and swimming area were also very nice. Breakfast was excellent.
The bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was so hard I had to ask for an extra blanket to sleep on for more cushion and would still wake up feeling soar and bruised. The hotel had an air of being very up-scale and did not have a very relaxed atmosphere. I think this hotel is better suited to mature couples looking for a very formal hotel experience. It is definitely not casual or homey feeling.
Rooms are tired. AC did not work in 2 rooms.
The position of the hotel and the fact that it was away from the town centre but near enough to walk to. The pool and the bathing area were spacious and well maintained. The sea view room suite was in a good position.
Excellent location, staff. Amazing views.
Pool closed too early.
Amazing location, views and water amenities.
In a quiet area, complimentary breakfast was excellent. Private dock is nice.
Room service was atrocious. I understand you pay for convenience but the sandwiches honestly looked (and tasted) like they were thrown together. Walls are very thin, we could hear chairs moving in surrounding rooms which woke us up in the mornings. When we informed the front desk, we were offered another room that was not comparable to ours (although we were told it was).
Stunning views over Bay of Naples. Every part of hotel well maintained and clean. Daily maid service very good POOL LOVELY dining at terrace bar was lovely and food at lunch very reasonable
Some gaps in info provided at hotel such as not being aware long trousers required to dine in restaurant . charge made for use of lounger at beach
Excellent location. Beautiful view from our balcony! Absolutely helpful staff! They were the best!
The hotel was bright and fresh. The decking area as superb for relaxing. Stunning views from all areas of the hotel
Cost of a bottle of beer. Bit pricey.
The sun deck, location, cleanliness, decor, staff, food, view, pretty much everything.
Staff did everything they could to ensure our best experience. Handled taxi arrangements, negotiating best price for us; packed a breakfast (complete with hot beverage the next morning) so we could make an early flight. Couldn't have been more accommodating. Very impressed.
