Very good breakfast. - The personnel would not allow children into the spa, even though it explicitly says on the website and in their printed material that this is allowed. We brought a very disappointed, calm and well behaved 6 year old who was refused. - The bath tubs on the roof are only open during the summer season, even though it would make more sense to use them during winter. - Impossible to awake the personnel when we left early in the morning. We had to arrange our own taxi's. - Not as central as it seems. It's close to the central station, but very far from all the shopping districts and most of the historical sites.

We liked the location and the food at the restaurant. The breakfasts were very good. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were first class. The staff were surly, rude and not at all helpful. The maid service was poor. The hotel advertises WiFi throughout the hotel, but we could not connect from our room.

Comfort and cleanliness of rooms. Breakfast was the best of our trip. The wait staff was lacking in two incidents. We ordered room service and the meals came with one set of cutlery. When we called the front desk, they just kept switching us to room service although we couldn't get through on their line. My husband finally had to go down to the restaurant in person. In the late afternoon of the next day we stopped at the lounge to have a drink before heading out and first we were told there was no orange for a Campari & orange and then it took a very long time to get a Campari & soda. Also when we booked in at 6 pm there was only one person on the desk. I noticed another guest had to wait quite a while while we were booked in.

This is a wonderful hotel that definitely fits the description of old- world charm! Stayed on two different occasions and loved it!! Location next to the port requires caution if out after dark, but this would not prevent me from staying here again.

Although the room looked out onto a busy square, you couldn't hear a thing! Loved the window shutters--made the room completely dark for a greta night's sleep. Comfortable bed too! The spa was small but well kept with a variety of saunas and a nice pool at the perfect temperature.

The Hotel is very good in general, and the staff are excellent, but for us , the 1rst reservation on the 12th of september.. Our room was not good as we reserve it from the internet, and no hot water in the room, we had to change the room the next day and the bathroom was very slipery and not comfortable. At last the way back on the 19th of september we had a very comfortable room and the bath was good.If we did not get a good room we would had a very bad opinian of the hotel.Thank you until the next vacation in Genova

There are a bunch of lies about this hotel. It's badly located, not in the center has it was specified in Booking.com Far from the Genova's Acquario, again as it was said in Booking.com .The photos and description in Booking.com didn't show the reality about the hotel. It was on the worse place in Genova. Tha't why we moved to another one far, very far away from this.

The room I booked was supposed to have a view over Piazza Acquaverde but the room had no view other than over the safety stairs. The room was very dark since almost no light could come from windows and since internal lights were very dim so that the mirror above the sink was useless.

Outstanding 5* hotel close to historical centre of Genova. Valet parking is always a treat although there are some public spaces nearby. Fresh decoration and attention to detail - electric blinds from bedside; good range of tv channels; free water each night; free Wifi all over hotel plus their own pc if needed. Excellent breakfast buffet included in rate with super cakes...and hot food to order. Last but not least staff were friendly, spoke good English.

The hotel was extraordinary - from the service to the amenities to the luxury of the rooms. We had trouble with an airline reservation and the front desk went out of their way to assist us.
