Gabrielle at the front desk. Well informed and helpful.
The restaurant. Needs a re-think. Breakfast (in same place good though)
Location, buffet breakfast, comfort of beds (executive rooms), grandeur of hotel.
Watch the temperature in the spa pool - member of party walked down into it on second afternoon and scolded her legs. Not monitored well enough.
Liked everything about this hotel. This was the 3rd time we have stayed here. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic. Anything from your own omelette to pastries, cereals, fruit, meat/cheese. Room had balcony with beautiful view of the city and always has been clean as is the complete hotel.
The location is right next to the train station, but was a great spot and only a min from the harbour. Had a great buzz..
Hot tubs on roof should stay open until later..:)
Helpful staff and good quality rooms. Very good breakfast. Nice views from the 7th floor terrace, though they could do a bit more with it.
A little but away from the centre but not too far a walk.
What a hotel. Everything was excellent from start to finish. Beautiful inside with an exquisite roof top terrace restaurant, so you can eat with a marvellous view over the city. Brilliantly located to explore the redeveloped port area with a magnificent aquarium.
A grand ole dame of a hotel…classic. Such hotels are getting harder and harder to find in good condition, ones that have not been scared by tasteless updates. Their recent renovation was true to the building's original design. Beautiful…and great service!
Very helpful, cordial staff. Near the Port and the RR station. Lavish breakfast buffet. Two dining options. Reasonably priced rooms.
Room rather small with no dresser. Room very dark; could barely read at night even with the lights on. Rooftop bar area not very attractive.
Very helpful and friendly staff
The hot tub on roof was cold.
Elegant art deco style, warm welcome from staff, valet parking, very comfortable spacious family room, wonderful breakfast, great location for tourism.
Everything was excellent great breakfast just didnt like the city.
Not alot to do in Genova.
Location was great. We like to travel by rail in Europe wherever possible and to have such a fine hotel 50 metres from the station entrance was a real bonus. Also very handy to everything we wanted to see and do in Genoa. Very warm, welcoming and helpful staff.
My room was excellent and the bathroom equipped with stylish quality Villeroy & Bosch. 7th floor dining room has a wonderful terrace overlooking. Genoa with its working harbour. Highly recommended.
the front desk staffs.
Interior decoration style Music in lobby and restaurant View from restaurant Open air jacuzzi on the roof Room size and bathroom size Cleanliness Breakfast
CraZy 25 euros/night to park the car !!! Bad wifi signal!!
Good location to explore Genova and italian riviera: close to the train station, old city and porto antico, good connetcion to the highway; Very good and rich breakfast; Delicious dishes in the hotel restaurant on the roof and typical trattoria close to the hotel; Friendly reception staff; Clean bathroom; Good sleeping conditions; Hotel own parking garage; All in one: good five stars hotel.
Standard double room is too small if you stay longer than one night; Huge demand on tea cups during breakfast time - you have always to ask to bring some or wait; Parking garage costs 25€ per night/day; Fitness room has too few machines; Some girls from the hotel trattoria are very unfriendly.
We stayed at the Grand Hotel Savoia for the first night of our honeymoon on our way down to the Cinque Terre. The hotel was really classy, located centrally (right next to the train station to head south to Monterosso) and the staff were amazingly helpful. A little on the pricey side, but we made the decision to do spend a little more and it was well worth it.
Very good location and nice price for the 5* hotel, brilliant view from the restaurant to the port and city-station, beautiful lobby area. Thank you
Wi-fi connection in the room was not good enough.
Hotel interior, clean room.
The staff does not work very well. Book a room in this hotel. When I arrived, they said that the number you want is not. The problem was solved only after a call to booking.com
It was our first time in Genova hence we chose one of the five star establishments to stay. We stayed for 5 nights. Hotel is beautiful, decorated very well, with a lot of public space to relax. Rooms clean, serviced every day to a five star quality as we are used to. All main attractions are walking distance ( and you most definitely need to walk after Italian carb overload). If it's your first time in Italy do not be deterred by the look of shabby buildings, homeless people or street sellers. That is the beauty of Italy, and specifically Genova. Every corner you turn there is beautiful church or piazza. EXPLORE. Concierge/ reception were very friendly. They dealt with every request of ours promptly! 7th floor restaurant was great for dinner ( seafood at it's best). Also breakfast is worth every penny! First I was adamant not to eat at the hotel as normally it isn't that great or authentic however I was pleasantly surprised! There was a large selection of just about everything! Good quality, fresh! Eggs are made right in front of you on the terrace. Gorgeous views and superb staff!
We had spa included as part of the package however it is nothing special. Don't get me wrong - it is beautiful however it only has four lounge chair in front of big Jacuzzi, a shower, sauna and steam room. Plus relaxation room which really made no sense as it was neither hot nor cold. So if you want to pay for access I do not think it is really worth it. Maybe I am being too picky.
the hotel and staff were very good
city centre not so good
Old-world charm, professional and attentive staff, ideal location opposite central station, gorgeous breakfast room and a cornucopia of breakfast options. Loved our stay at the Grand Hotel Savoia
Ease of access
Poor service 45 mins to be served a drink. Breakfast dis organized and poor selection for 1 star with 50 minutes for an omelette
